Super-C with stacker is awesome. Becomes the mothership and you can decide what to put in stacker: Moto’s, car, home office, gym, etc. The real truck chassis is the key so mechanicals can be sorted by most truck professionals. Plus the rated tow capacity is crazy high.
When telling Phil how to turn in Phil and Stacy's video, your statement, "The whole truck is the front wheel of the vehicle" Is hands down the BEST statement ever on towing a 5th wheel. Great videos from both channels!
I thought you two were bad by yourselves! You bring in your doppelgängers and take over the town. The fellas looked liked like two kids in a $400k candy shop. Of course my fav spot wudda been on the couch with my two fav RUclips ladies. 😉 I hear ya on the Class A vs. TH choice. Y’all have made it your own and I believe influenced many others to do the same. Can’t leave Lucille behind. 😬 I’ve been over it in my head for a while. It’s a tough decision. Class A, toad, cruiser or Truck, TH, cruiser inside. Y’all have done great with yours. Thanks guys. Troy
The 2 rigs look like they were meant to be together! Beautiful! You probably looked like a traveling family. We had considered a Class A but we also need to haul a motorcycle. We also want the space for fulltime RV'ing. Good to know you had the same concerns and decided on the 5th wheel. Thanks!
I had always had trailers and fifth wheels pulled by pick ups. I have now switched to a pusher class A. The ride is so much better and I call the windshield my IMAX going down the road.
Two of my favorite channels coming together! We love our Class A but if I were younger I’d want your 5th wheel! At our age...late 50’s...we need the convenience of having everything right behind us lol especially when the hubby drinks tea!!! Every 30 minutes he makes his way to the half bath....good thing I’m the driver 😊😊 Glad you got to experience driving a class A! When we first got our diesel pusher in 2012 after having a 32’ bumper pull for 5 years, the first thing I did while driving was sing, “I’m on the top of the world, lookin down on creation” lol Have a class A gasser now and love it!!! I can do the maintenance unlike the DP. Haven’t dealt with big mountains yet so we’ll see 😊 Great video as usual!
Been watching all you guys for a bit over a year. As nice as the 5th wheel is and the extra room the pusher makes it rough. I’m still young enough I need my toys. I’m sitting in Quartzite right now, thanks for helping me wind down. Be safe Dale from Oregon.
This is from a family that's had both. As a guy it's always fun playing with trucks and driving a Class A is that little boy in all of us driving around that big truck. Being in back of a class a for your wife works at times but you can't sleep on the bed because the engine is right underneath you and if you try earplugs then you can't hear and in an emergency not good. And on the couch you roll off. That's why we have a 35ft 5th wheel when you full time you can't beat the room . And for you guys with the office and Lucille you made the right choice. Love your videos I have made reservations on your reviews and your travels. Hope to see you out on the road. Safe Traveling
This video was well done. Chad great job on driving that class A. I will go look and check out their channel. They have a dog too it looks cute like Daisy. It was cute I noticed that their rig was the same colors as you have for paint. I loved both of your rigs. Nice job on filming. Thank you Chad and Tara.
Appreciate the comparison, we have been debating between the Class A and 5th wheel. I think the pros and cons you highlighted are helpful to our decision. For us, so far, the Class A is the way to go.
We are doing exactly like your video, except we are going from a Class A to a 5th wheel. Love your videos and my wife and I have learned a lot from your experience. Love You two! Keep the videos coming. Stay Safe
I've had them both including tow behind, class a for me all the way. Getting ready to hit the road in April in a 35 foot class a. Hope to see you both on the road some day. You are all stand up folks.
Listen. You have to say that. Any time I cough people start looking suspicious. A friend of mine had to remind people that hay fever is still a thing that happens.
You guys and Phil and Stacy seem to have similar personalities so it’s really cool to see you guys hanging out. Good way to help each other’s channels grow as well!
We've had both currently we have a newmar dutch star diesel pusher 38 foot with 4 slides. in order to make it more affordable we purchased it used 4 years ago and it's a 2005, it has 75,000 miles and runs like a dream, we bought it from a private party and paid $60K. We much prefer the class A but if you need a toy hauler the 5th wheel is the way to go.
As I said on Phil & Stacey’s channel, thank you so much for doing this! My wife and I are still in the research phase and while I love the “towing this beast” video, you made it look so easy because you have the experience. Seeing Phil drive it for the first time was incredibly valuable! Thank you all for being willing to allow each other to drive your own homes around! That took some serious trust! Also, you confirmed a lot of our reservations about the Class A when you talked about the way the rig rocked. As much as it may be possible to go into the back of a Class A while you’re moving, the reality is whether it is safe, and that’s not something I’m willing to risk. Having “the Shark” (our bike) with us is a must, so we’re in the same place you guys are and this just reinforces it. Ever thought about starting a 5th wheel driving school? 😂
We’re on our 3rd 5th wheel and had two bumper pulls. I’m 62 now and n decent shape. But when I can’t climb in and out of the bed of the truck we will probably get a class c. Our pension won’t cover a class a. Not a complaint, we are blessed. Great video. I like both channels.
I give you guys credit for hauling or driving those large rigs. I personally downsized because of the stress. We went from a total length of about 50ft (with truck) to a 27 foot class C. Feel so much more at ease when moving about.
I think you guys pioneered the cross over videos. I really do enjoy them! Can you hunt down other RUclipsrs and do more cross overs? Do a cross over with Big Truck Big RV and compare and contrast the F350 vs F450! Also a life style cross over with LoLoHo, Everlanders, KYD, Russos ... Etc.
We had a Class A for 14 years. Great for sandwich, while going down the road, and easy rest stop nap, and go. Also great to pull our 2 door Jeep Wrangler, and the Jeep was great for navigating around towns, and trails. But, the 5th Wheel, has so much more room, as the driving seat takes up 5 feet of living space. In my opinion driving a HD pickup truck is so much easier, than driving a big Class A. Also easier to park the 5ther in smaller camping sites, than the Class A. You also have to take into consideration, the depreciation curve of a $250k Class A and what it takes to keep it maintained
LOL...Phil’s photobomb @12:46. Thank you for this comparison video. We’re looking for a retirement rig and plan on taking our motorcycles. This is good information.
I have been towing a trailer of one kind or another for over 40 years since I was about 15 starting with a pickup and horse trailer to a Kenworth and fuel tankers and I would never switch. Great videos from both couples. It’s good to see a couple of guys from the worlds greatest Navy hanging together.
Loved this comparison. I've been watching you guys and Phil and Stacy for 18 months and I never miss a week. I've learned a lot from both couples. Love you guys.
Love Both y'alls channels. Boys with Toys! They need to make more toy hauler class A. Love my 40 ft Newmar. Drives as smooth as my gmc Denali. But, I do want more room. Great videos.
Innovative idea to change spaces and get a first hand experience with a different type of RV!! Lots of good insight shared by two experienced RV couples. Informative and entertaining! Two thumbs up!
Great video from two of the coolest couples. Your rigs are almost the same color. Love Phil in the front seat while you guys were talking at the end. Two Navy guys, love it !!
After looking at both videos I have to agree that class A is easier to maneuver and set up but you can’t beat the fifth wheel space. I can’t wait to get one. I just need Chad to come to AZ and teach me 😂
You Guys are Great. I watch both your channels and really enjoy your posts. I've driven both Class A with 30ft trailer and 5th wheel behind my Cummins Truck. Each has plus & minus features. I also ride an MC and love taking it with me, so 5th wheel is my choice for now. We have Labs, so the garage also works at the dog house- woof woof!
Xlnt commentaries. We currently have a 1985 Yellowstone 5th wheel which we got our feet wet from tent camping. We love the 5th wheel aspect as they have a ton more room. We have not got behind the wheel in a class A. From what we have experienced with "old yeller" 5th wheels are easy to tow. We really enjoyed your comments and got a kick out of watching Phil sweat driving your rig.
Hello to my two favorite RV travel RUclipsrs. I have a video suggestion when the four of you are back together. I think both of the gentlemen are former military, I think both Navy. I think many of your followers would like to hear a camp fireside chat on both your individual military careers. Both formal and fun and serious stories. And maybe talk about how each other’s military positions interacted and relied on each jobs in terms on how our countries military performs as required and expected. Just a thought. Thank you both for your service. ❤️🇺🇸👍.
Yes love our fifth wheel also. Thought about motor home when we finally get to go full time..... but we are gonna stick with 5th wheel. Love the space we have 👍
This was great. I love their channel as well. I have to be honest, when I saw the title I thought, “What happened to Lucille?” Then I relaxed when you mentioned the swap for the experience. Haha. I jump to conclusions. Love your videos.
You guys rocked it!!! We are still in a fifth wheel as well. I've owned both but as we age we wouldn't mind being in a Class A. I drove a 45' tour bus but don't want that much length due to some campsite restrictions. As a former trucker driver our 5ther is not hard for me. We did divorce the dolly as Phil would say. It was not an issue, but could be since we were 10' over length in Texas. (75' in all) We love your channel and how down to earth y'all are. Continued prayers for Tara's health. Safe and happy travels. Gator
I went from a class A diesel to an Airstream trailer. I loved driving the class A, but the upkeep took the fun out of it. $500 oil changes, $275 air filter, tires are $3500 for a set. Too many systems, all needing service. It just was too big for me at this time in my life. Today the Airstream is perfect. If I won the lottery, I'd get another class A, but high end like a Bluebird or Eagle. (and let someone else maintain it.)
Good job! We agree with the "sandwich and coffee" idea, but that's why they make portable coolers. I think that all that creaking would drive me nuts after a while, besides I like the sound of my truck. Which just happens to be a Ford 350 Platinum, 6.7L, Diesel, FWD, DRW. And, I drove 18 wheelers for a while and like the maneuvering ability. I think we will be sticking to our 5th wheel plans for now. Might think about a Class A diesel pusher right after we win the lottery.😉 Love the office modifications, didn't see that video, but putting it on the lift is ingenious. Hope you guys are stay well, you and Tara are always in our thoughts and prayers. Chief, Dee and Lucy🐾 Lucy says Hi Daisy!
I am subscribed to both. Love both of your channels. Fun watching maybe (Stacy) spying on you in the background. We are fifth wheelers all the way too. Thanks for the fun videos.
I just got home from two weeks traveling with my dad in his Tiffin; OKC, Red Bay AL (Tiffin's manufacturer), home to Richmond VA. He spent three weeks in the hospital with double pneumonia and needed help with heavy lifting tear down and set up, had some repair work done a Red Bay. I really enjoyed driving his class A.
We started looking at a 5th wheel, but much smaller than yours. As we had a current Chevy 1500 we stayed looking at the small ones we could tow. Ended up buying a small class A Entegra and tow a Mini cooper. All the points you brought up were very similar to the discussions we has, but we were on a smaller scale as we are not full time or close to it. Probably the biggest deciding factor for us was not wanting a 3500 truck to drive around in when you get to your destination. The mini is small, possibly a Jeep would have been a better choice, but we love Mini's, this is our 4th. Its a great comparison you guys did with Phil and Stacy. i love their channel too. Very well done.
You both do such a wonderful job with your channel. I also visited the “a more information” section about you two and your rig, motorcycle, truck, etc and it had lots of beneficial information. Very informative, very thorough and very delightful. Fantastic channel. Thank you for all of your hard work and for all of the entertainment. Happy New Year.
We're pulling a 28-foot bumper pull trailer with our truck these days and I do really enjoy the technical challenges of pulling a trailer, backing it into a spot, etc. But, I do think if we ever decide to go full time, it would probably be in a diesel Class A with a toad pull behind. Great video - Phil and Stacy did an excellent job on their companion video as well.
I just moved up to a 42 foot fifth wheel from a 30 foot bumper pull. We went to Michigan to get it. Drove it 2500 miles in 3 and a half days. I cannot believe how well it tows compared to a travel trailer. I used to drive school bus also. I would take the fifth wheel any day. So much space. I would never look down on anyone for choosing different than me of course. But wow other than the higher revs with tow haul on can hardly tell it’s there.
Just subscribed tonight, also subscribed to Stacy and Phil last week....Subscribed to Brian and Michelle (RVision I think)...IMO, these are the best RV channels going...I especially like the reno and repair vids...The vid on your new suspension system was excellent...Keep up the good work!!
So cool that you are both friends with Phil and Stacy. We love their channel. Like them, we drive a class A diesel pusher. I have a fear of backing trailers. Long story, but it's from early in my Army career.
I've been watching your vids from the beginning and slowly catching up. Initially I was thinking a travel trailer with my 2020 RAM 1500 that I spec'd for towing. 3.92 rear end and tow package. While watching Hangingwiththehanks and your channel, I've realized that I should be looking at a 5th wheel/toy hauler. Recently I've started to think about a Class A. By the time I replace my truck and get the 5th wheel/toy hauler, I'd be in the price range of a Class A. Watching this video only makes my thought process a little simpler. Class A advantages: 1. The vehicle you tow can be a small efficient vehicle, a jeep or a even my Ram 1500. 2. The engine in the back works well for me. I'm already dealing with hearing issues. 3. The ability to just pullover and go to the bathroom, grab a drink, make food, or take a nap without getting out really suits me. There are some downsides, but at this point I believe I'm sold.
It's good to see you back in Franklin. I planned a trip to Franklin last October but had an RV issue and had to cancel. Chad seemed like he enjoyed driving Phil & Stacey's rig more than Phil enjoyed pulling the fifth wheel. I would like to upgrade to a fifth wheel, but the wife wants a class A. Thanks for sharing! Steve
We watched both videos and we thought Chad did a phenomenal job instructing Phil on how to drive the fifth wheel. Daisy was just adorable looking over at Phil driving her dad's truck! Chad looked very comfortable driving the motor home and looked like he was having fun! :-)
You two are amazing! We have watched all your takes. As we await our new Leisure Travel RV - ETA Sept, watching and learning from you guys. Keep it coming and stay safe always!! Rick and Laarni Stransky, Sonoma California
I'm excited to see you with Phil & Stacy! Hello to all of you! I've always thought both of you were Super C type Guys. I'd love to watch full timers in Super Cs. I've watched Phil admire the Super Cs and I'm sure he dreams of a Super C.
Another awesome video! Newmar makes the Canyon Star, a front-engine diesel (Fred), toy hauler. The model 3947 has a 10 foot garage that would haul Lucille and convert to an office, but the combined cargo (cargo + toad) is kinda puny. Thanks for the video.
Great idea for a video. Have watched both and its really neat listening to each other describe the differences. We are like you we enjoy our Momentum toy hauler with the space for the motorcycle. Phil & Stacy have a great channel as well. Safe travels
🙏
Who in the world would dislike this video??? Smh... Love you guys and little Miss Daisy!!!
And before it was even possible to watch the video lol
I agree I love both couples. Watch. Both all the time.
My grandmother always told myself if you don’t have something nice to say then just move on.. I am old school. I love my old school life...😘
Tow of my favorite RUclips Couples
Troy
Wonderfull you two share with our other great RV fulltimers! Phil and Stacy are awesome!
Yes they are! 😊
The larger 45' coaches ride much better and have tons more space. Great job guys!
Exactly
Great to see the two power couples of RV youtubing together.
love the RV reference. i think i have watched that movie a hundred times! i like this comparison video.
Love how both your 5th wheel and their Class A color scheme matched
Enjoyed this video! We love our Class A RV. Now we have to go and watch Phil and Stacey.
Those are some great friends too have. Love watching you guys and be safe out there.
LOL. Love seeing Phil peeping from his windshield at 12:52! :)
The 2 rigs look like they were meant to be together! Beautiful! You probably looked like a traveling family.
We had considered a Class A but we also need to haul a motorcycle. We also want the space for fulltime RV'ing. Good to know you had the same concerns and decided on the 5th wheel. Thanks!
This is so funny.. I knew this was Phil and Stacy just from the rig and cars! Love Em!!
I had always had trailers and fifth wheels pulled by pick ups. I have now switched to a pusher class A. The ride is so much better and I call the windshield my IMAX going down the road.

Yeah! 2 of my favorite RUclipsrs in one video! ❤️❤️❤️
Please do more of these "Shared Content" vids with Phil & Stacy! Well done!
YES!! It is fun to see all my favorite Navy people doing these!
#GoNavy
These cross over videos yall do are awesome! Im surprised I hadn't seen these two yet.

of all the channels i watch, the two of you are my top favorite channels. Gotta love Ol Phil, that poor boy is always in "time out". lol
🤣 thanks!
Appreciate the comparison, we have been debating between the Class A and 5th wheel. I think the pros and cons you highlighted are helpful to our decision. For us, so far, the Class A is the way to go.
Awesome stuff. 2 of my favorite RV couples
Great video! Never drove a large Class A, yet, but we love our Grand Design 5th wheel! We enjoy your channel... blessing!
AWESOME VIDEOS!!WE LOVE WATCHING BOTH CHANNELS!!
That was a pretty neat video swapping out. That helps a person like myself who doesn’t know what he wants yet. So much choices..
We are doing exactly like your video, except we are going from a Class A to a 5th wheel. Love your videos and my wife and I have learned a lot from your experience. Love You two! Keep the videos coming. Stay Safe

3 sailors in a land yacht=3 stooges.
Keep being great y'all!
Go Army!
I like the color coordinated rigs. Air ride, air brakes, and you didn’t try to see if the horn toots. Great job and thank you for sharing.
Very nice that you were able to switch and try it out without actually making a commitment. LOL Lynn and Danny
NICE! Two of my favorite channels. Glad you all got to experience that.

Their rigs looked great parked next to each other. Almost like they planned it that way.

This was great. I love their channel as well. I have to be honest, when I saw the title I thought, “What happened to Lucille?” Then I relaxed when you mentioned the swap for the experience. Haha. I jump to conclusions. Love your videos.

Might think about a Class A diesel pusher right after we win the lottery.😉
Love the office modifications, didn't see that video, but putting it on the lift is ingenious.
Hope you guys are stay well, you and Tara are always in our thoughts and prayers.

Lucy says Hi Daisy!
Great video. Watched the one with Phil and Stacy to. Glad to see ya again.
Yup yup... caught the co-video yesterday. Fun comparison and a bit helpful too. Happy travels, you two!
💜💜💜 just sold our Class A then sold for a 5th wheel last year. It is a different trip for sure. I do miss my Class A. 🇨🇦 keep well and stay safe
Great video!! Thanks for getting together with another of my favorite nomads for a collab!!
That was fun! Thank you Thomyt ps love Stacey and Phil!
Great vid and info. Looked like fun. Zip line yes.
Instead of an airliner, maybe more like an Aircraft Carrier riding road waves. Heaving, rocking and rolling.
I watch their video yesterday, I think it's pretty cool y'all are friends. We have been following you both from the beginning.
Looks like a "rig"orous test! Always learning.
Welcome to our channel! 😊
So cool that you are both friends with Phil and Stacy. We love their channel. Like them, we drive a class A diesel pusher. I have a fear of backing trailers. Long story, but it's from early in my Army career.
This is EXACTLY what I wanted to know. GOOD IDEA
Steve
That A has a fairly short wheel base, easier/Tighter corners but more trail swing. Coolness!
Dang @ 3:26 Phil looking jacked AF. Never knew he was so big. Good work!
We watched both videos and we thought Chad did a phenomenal job instructing Phil on how to drive the fifth wheel. Daisy was just adorable looking over at Phil driving her dad's truck! Chad looked very comfortable driving the motor home and looked like he was having fun! :-)
Love seeing the comparison and seeing you all together!
Enjoy your Adventures and Commentarys. Safe Travels
fun seeing a collaborative video from you guys!
Loved this video, love the couple you hooked up with. Your all great, Thanks for this video...
Love seeing this. I’m subscribed to both of your channels and it’s great to see both together in the same video.
