Are you anywhere close to an Iron Man suit? I mean, MIT recently just came out with specifications for a relatively small reactor that could generate clean fusion energy, that might be up and running in 10 years. Although it can provide this clean energy to about 100,000 people at first. Isn't that the MAIN issue for building an Iron Man suit, a powerful energy supply? If Fusion reaction (thereby generating unlimited clean energy) happens in 20 years, then it will be able to be miniaturized, like Stark's Arc Reactor. I mean, we have super durable and super strong metals/alloys, we have technology like Stark's advanced user interface helmet, we are in early stages of language processing AI like Jarvis. That's only SOME of it, I know, but things like flying and repulsor rays are still a mystery. Even if clean energy is a reality in a few decades (because people keep saying the power source is the BIGGEST problem), is actually engineering an Iron Man suit a feasible possibility in our lifetime?

I thought the armor pieces having their own propulsion system was a bit excessive, until I saw the Iron Man vs. Hulk fight where it came in handy. I don't know if they set this up in Iron Man 3 because that's what they have envisioned the fight in Avengers 2 would be, ie. broken parts of the Hulk Buster armor are replaced constantly.

There's something about the suit ups in the first movie that made the armor seem more heavyduty and the superhero like a real ironman! My favourite, gives me goosebumps!
I really miss the spinning rims and actually assembling the suit. It made the suit actually seem bulky and durable and even a little realistic. Now he just hops into it like a pair of pants, and it doesn't help the new suits are thin like paper. His old one actually looks like something that could survive a tank blast. New suits break so easily.
His old suits wouldn’t last long against Thanos. Without Tony’s Nanotech constantly repairing the suit, (albeit, it still wasn’t enough) Tony would’ve died alot sooner to Thanos if he was just wearing the Mark 3 or maybe 6 for example.
Also remember, Thanos was strong enough to take several Avengers at once. Thor, Cap, and Tony weren’t able to kill 2014 Thanos in Endgame! If Infinity War Thanos fought against Tony wearing the old bulky suits, it would be game over for Tony.
Also, the bulky suits were originally meant for threats on Earth, not extraterrestrial threats. Of course they seem more durable because it was better suited for “human” threats.
Actually this 400% capacity given by the lightning thing is created for this movie, in the comics, the lightning just damages the suit as it should be.

Whoever designed the cinematic for how Tony gets into the suits deserves a trophy. So epic.

Are you anywhere close to an Iron Man suit? I mean, MIT recently just came out with specifications for a relatively small reactor that could generate clean fusion energy, that might be up and running in 10 years. Although it can provide this clean energy to about 100,000 people at first. Isn't that the MAIN issue for building an Iron Man suit, a powerful energy supply? If Fusion reaction (thereby generating unlimited clean energy) happens in 20 years, then it will be able to be miniaturized, like Stark's Arc Reactor.
I mean, we have super durable and super strong metals/alloys, we have technology like Stark's advanced user interface helmet, we are in early stages of language processing AI like Jarvis. That's only SOME of it, I know, but things like flying and repulsor rays are still a mystery.
Even if clean energy is a reality in a few decades (because people keep saying the power source is the BIGGEST problem), is actually engineering an Iron Man suit a feasible possibility in our lifetime?

I thought the armor pieces having their own propulsion system was a bit excessive, until I saw the Iron Man vs. Hulk fight where it came in handy. I don't know if they set this up in Iron Man 3 because that's what they have envisioned the fight in Avengers 2 would be, ie. broken parts of the Hulk Buster armor are replaced constantly.

I really miss the spinning rims and actually assembling the suit. It made the suit actually seem bulky and durable
and even a little realistic. Now he just hops into it like a pair of pants, and it doesn't help the new suits are thin like paper.
His old one actually looks like something that could survive a tank blast. New suits break so easily.
His old suits wouldn’t last long against Thanos. Without Tony’s Nanotech constantly repairing the suit, (albeit, it still wasn’t enough) Tony would’ve died alot sooner to Thanos if he was just wearing the Mark 3 or maybe 6 for example.
Also remember, Thanos was strong enough to take several Avengers at once. Thor, Cap, and Tony weren’t able to kill 2014 Thanos in Endgame! If Infinity War Thanos fought against Tony wearing the old bulky suits, it would be game over for Tony.
Also, the bulky suits were originally meant for threats on Earth, not extraterrestrial threats. Of course they seem more durable because it was better suited for “human” threats.

Actually this 400% capacity given by the lightning thing is created for this movie, in the comics, the lightning just damages the suit as it should be.
