Loved this vid. I grew up living in Ticknall and played as a kid in the valley as they where making Foremark Reservoir.

I know that place lol, being an ex South Derbyshire lad, when I was younger the res was frozen solid and the ice was a bout a 4 think and there were loads of fold on mountain bikes on the ice, i did not partake in that activity, seemed a daft thing to do lol Great to o see that place again though been about 20 years since i wandered round there. You have a new subscriber!
Oh wow I can't imagine it all being frozen! 😲 It's a beautiful place, unfortunately they fenced off the nearest beaches due to people trashing it in covid, absolutely gutted, but I still have my little spot 👌👩&🐕
Nice one.. u got a great dog there,,, how bouta vid where u breakdown the bits and bobs of taking a dog with you on adventures..and then bits you do to spoil the older dogs and keep em up for the mileage and raring to go!
In the words of monty python, 'we already got one of those' 🤣 I did a video a month or so ago with tips for camping with your dog. I could do a old dog special though, it is xena's birthday soon! 🤣
@@Wild.cat.adventures yh it was from the older dog angle i meant... tailoring routes putting the dog first when it comes to drying off as soon as tent set up..etc paying extra close attention to their hydration and temperature/sun exposure etc... for a lot of their lives they are far more suited to outdoors than we are... but a few tips n tricks kept my old terrier hiking with us till she was 16 ATB

hi, hope you're both well and your mum too. I was wondering if you could give me any place where I could wild camp. we've messaged a couple of times . I normally just stay in in the woods ,in peak district mostly for a bit of protection from weather but as weather gets better I'd like to explore other places. I love water and my dog does too so anywhere by water would be cool plus I go through a lot of water.hope you can help. I'm leaving first thing in the morning for 6 days five nights(can't wait) hope you can help.thank you and take care.
Hey I don't think I've seen ur other messages sorry! I've done vids at Mam tor and Derwent Edge. Winnats pass and kinder are also popular. I've spent so many hours watching RUclips for camping spots and also just getting out there, or pouring over maps - those are my tips to find spots 👍no fires up top tho pls mate 😉👩&🐕
Hey could you do the southeast like West Sussex area I'm trying to do d places close to me where I could do this with my kids for a weekend but not drivi g limits me being able to find places we could camp where we don't have to pay so if you ever come this way would love to see the videos
Not quite south west but look at the jurassic coast past Swanage. Loads of interesting stuff to see (gorgeous beaches, caves, Dino footprints, ww2 relics etc) and defo camping spots. Maybe plan a holiday and go scout some places or search the depths of youtube for hours like me 🤣

My wife, me and the dogs tried this route today. we lost the footpath and came to a dead end at a fence after about half an hour. 😀. We tried railing the reservoir but to no joy. So we got down to the sandy part on the right to set up my stove for a hot chocolate but I forgot a lighter or matches 😀. I can also confirm, not to wear shorts..🥃🏕.
The path isn't easy that's for sure, that's why it's my stealth spot! Be careful the rangers in the dinghies don't catch you if you go back 😉
