- Camping at my favourite place, a little 'island' in a beautiful lake in South Derbyshire. Had a great time dancing in the sun with my tunes on. Shame I didn't manage a wild swim too!

brilliant video it looks a great spot for a camp & the hogweed is bloody horrible stuff if you get it on bare skin its really nasty
Only giant hogweed is really dangerous, just brushing against it can cause the burning photosensitive rash, although the sap from regular hog weed can cause this too 👍

Hi Cat,,, Another great vid from you. Just wish i could get out soon. Go careful where you go as in the past i have got caught being somewhere I should not have been lol. Swimming in lakes and rivers has been a must for me but now with all the mess being pumped into our waters makes me wary of where I go swimming. Regards Mick,,, Chef-on-the-wild-side,,,,,, X
Worst that can happen is they ask me to move, tresspass is a civil offence plus they'd have to catch me first lol! Agreed re swimming in rivers etc, too much pollution since the government changed the rules in covid, such a backwards step!

You do come up some great spots. Camped at Wolfscote dale a while back, had previously camped there back in 2003 but not for RUclips. Magic place.
On the cliff where I camped? Cracking spot!

@@Wild.cat.adventures Thank you for the info - much appreciated! I’ve just checked out the specs on their website and the build quality is incredible. I’m sold on the robust YKK zippers! No seriously, for a bijou tent the design is very spacious and well suited for wild camping.
@@anthonywestwood8489 no problem I love it, light enough for multi days, strong enough for winter and fits 2 if u don't being snug! The southern cross by Terra nova 8s also worth a look 😉
How do slugs get into an expensive tent like that?
@@mcpjohnson Same way they get into a cheaper tent, usually when you’re chilling with the doors open, especially at night!

@@RAMSEYM2402 I've got the exped 5r way lore comfortable and warmer believe it or not than the thermarest neoair. The cone is a stormin Norman, you can't them anymore I'm afraid, xboil do something similar tho 👍

looked like you had a lovely camp there cat if your ever over the west lancashire ways call in and ill show you some lovely places by me i test all my gear at its called ashhurst beacon and it so happens i have a new tent to try naturehike cloud peak 2 😊thats right i gave up like everyone else and got one lol anyway hope to see you on another camp soon 😚
