Wolves can be dangerous. However much you love wolves, and they are beautiful, never forget they are also wild and dangerous animals in general. We live in SE Alaska, nearly 50 years we lived in the wilderness and had many experiences with wolves. My Dad and brothers were treed by a pack of wolves. We once had a pack circle our house and howl for hours. We didn't think they were after us, but rather our dogs and they took out many over the years. One time I saw us being checked out by a big wolf who didn't harm us but we were always being scouted and in potential. My husband and daughter were on a nearby beach one day when a wolf came for them, he ran steadily toward them. My kid kept screaming for her Dad to shoot him.... But he allowed time for the wolf to veer off but it kept charging closer, so he finally shot it as they seemed in dire danger. And yes, these situations (& others we experienced) might have been read wrong, you never know, but at the same time it is a choice you're forced to make... Protect your child's life for instance, or wait and see. Just sayin'.... Keep in mind the dangers, or you might just vanish....

Bear, boar, cougar ... I always wonder what folks are thinking in their tents. This is the smartest setup yet. A retractable ladder or a pully to raise it up a few feet would make it even better. When critters smell your supper you dont wantm showing up at that door in the floor. A bear would push itself in for sure. Hinged in the middle so you pull it there with a draw pully. The lower half would dangle. No critter could do it. This is imo the best startup for off grid. Bear can get into any vehicle. We've seen them pull windows out. The content of your vid is great - real outdoors work - no BS, except for your title - you were never once threatened by Wolves - they howled - well off in the distance and you made no move to run and showed no fear. The myth that wolves attack humans is much exaggerated - The fact that you have wolves present makes the outdoor area in which you have built this structure - truly wilderness. I simply worry that people will perpetuate the BS that wolves are the bad guys which in turn will cause the senseless slaughter of a species which we ourselves invited into our homes thousands of years ago. Wild dogs, not Wolves, are what people need to be aware of. We are not on the wolves menu - they can sense our presence from a great distance and will avoid us if at all possible. Dogs; however, have no inherent fear of humans and will run us down if they feel we have something to offer them. This information did not come from a book, it came from 63 years of living in the woods. I apologize for the short rant - your vids are great, you have no need to attract more views by using titles which exaggerate the truth.
To Hawksshadow. Don't be fooled into thinking ALL of one species reacts in one way! Not Wolves, not Bears, not ANYTHING! I saw a tv programme about an observation station in Alaska. A man routinely went for a walk outside the station, early evenings. Wolves had been attracted to smells of waste food that the people put out in a bin. Then they thought they would try for some PEOPLE as their food! (Perhaps there, there wasn't enough food for them). So the man went (alone) for his usual walk. BUT NEVER CAME BACK. A wolf attacked him by biting his legs. Predators do that to people, or other animals, to disable them, in the first instance. Then, when, as a result, they can't get away - another predator will go for the FACE to kill them! They hunt in packs of at least 2! In other countries, that's what happens to zebras! Obviously there WEREN'T any wolves nearby in this video. DANGEROUS to be in these places ON YOUR OWN.
@@nygelmiller5293 Hello - When speaking of wolves, they received their "bad reputation" during the time of the great battles in Europe. The armies would obliterate all food sources as they marched through the countryside. The battles were fought, men lay dying and dead all over the field. Wolves, having no choice, used those humans as a food source. I have been in the wild places for my entire life - 63 years. Places where Black bears and wolves live. I have never been remotely challenged or threatened by any animal other than human. I have studied wolves for 40 years and am well aware of the kill technique. If a wolf wants to kill a human, the human would have no chance. I worry about the perpetuation of B.S. when it comes to wolf and for that matter bear attacks. Other than rabies, there is no attack in my part of the world that has not been provoked by the human. We are loosing this apex predator at an alarming rate - if it goes, so does the wild. The wolf is the animal which keeps all others in check. I do wander alone, deep in the woods where wolves live and I wander in the security that I know my place and that I, as a human, am not on the menu. I thank you for the response. Dialogue such as this is important in this world of sensationalism.

Yes, it's very practical when you have everything with you on the run from wolves, from screwdrivers to suitable plastic bags and tarpaulins to an oven. By the way: where were the wolves?
Cool video and I can appreciate your hardiness and resourcefulness. One thing I would have done would have been to remove all the extra nails you put in the walls. This is so future users of this obvious hunting stand don't rip their clothing or scratch themselves on nails which they aren't expecting to be there.

The scariest thing in this vid is the tree hut. I would not trust that ladder to now break a leg and then you would really have a problem. Not very warm as a lot of the snow is still on the floor and the melted areas must be pretty wet. All in all just poor planning whoever built this and left it to rot with all the window holes open. But it gets views to the vid so there's that.

I like your 🌲 house out in the forest and out of harms way and good looking food .
Dimi, where was your brush/broom? I am surprised you didn’t make one from tree branches LOL. I love the different and odd places you find to camp. They make your videos interesting to watch. Happy new year!
Loved the food. Looked delicious. You obviously enjoyed it. Great vid. 😅😅😅😅
How did the snow get in on the floor like that if its closed in 🤔
It's called a window
Sweep off the floor first thing, or will it melt/evaporate really quickly?
This video should be titled “how much canvas can one person carry”🤣😂
keep the living area free of snow ~~~!!!!
Annnnnd how many nails can one person put in one little hut
That was a fun adventure to watch. All safe and warm in a tree where the wolves can't get you. Everyone's idea of being saved from danger. Good food to go along with it!
Klobuk dole.👍👍👍
Pozdrav zo Slovenska 🇸🇰.
I've been winter camping now a number of times in BC and the last thing I would worry about is wolves. Winter camping is great, no bugs, no bears, no people! You spend of lot of time processing firewood though, so it isn't a relaxing getaway. You REALLY appreciate the comforts of home when you get back.
Nice cozy little hut
Du beau boulot !... rapide et fonctionnel ... respect ....
Good video , nice cabin , greetings from a swedish bushcrafter 🌲
amazing way ruclips.net/video/zAUAcILiOYE/видео.html
I'm glad your safe.

Next trip bring a trap for outside of rooftop
Привет!!!! Поздравляю с наступающим Новым Годом!!!
I live in a pretty remote part of the Rockies. My place is a palace compared to this. Im glad he finally got the heat going.
I have to say, youtubers are amazing photographers.
Желаю этому парню удачи ,здоровья и благополучия.
WOLF STEW.... SOUNDS YUMMY
Trash!
That's a cool stove.
So where do you find a cabin on stilts in the woods? Just cozy! Love watching these camping vids be it modern equipment or roughing it.
Awesome video 👍🏾 I live in the Colorado Rocky Mountains and I'll never leave here. Reminds me how cold it can get here.
Ç'est plus sage, que d'aller se battre... 🍀
@@RGWrighthawksI agree all wildlife have a purpose. Humans seem to be the dangerous animals
Да Дмитрий с Рождеством Христовым, желаю счастья, здоровья любви удачи, смотрю и страшно когда слышно вой волков😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Have you ever taken the temperature before and after you closed it and sealed it up? Looked pretty comfortable. Good job and video.
Dinner looked good! We know you planned this out - - - - Still, that's a lot of HARD WORK!
First enclosed tree stand I've seen built with LOGS! A "log cabin tree stand"!
Very nice!! Mate, you are in the groove! Enjoying your life, in nature and looks like you are having a ball!
I would definitely apologize to the wife and ask if I can come home now.
Lol
Be strong. Don't give up
Lol
I don't think I'd leave the windows and door open if I had a stand.
Am I the only one who didn't hear or see wolves, or were we supposed to imagine them?
Nice overnight trip though.
there was most likely recorded wolf noises at the beginning. whole thing is click bait wolves don't attack people.
I've heard that they DO attack people playing recorded wolf noises !
Banging cutlery on table in unison chanting " We want wolves - we want wolves ! "...
@@Raccoonic0rn The risk of being attacked by wolves is low but not non-existent. I wouldn't take chances.
i would be much more afraid of dogs. wolves are inteligent they have their rules they dont mess with humans usually .
QUE HERMOSO TRABAJO Y CUÁNTO INGENIO PARA HACER DE UN LUGAR DESIERTO; UN REFUGIO PERFECTO.❤.
you has been missing for quite some time Mr dima glad to watch your video again
Love the no stupid background music.
High from 🇨🇦 Canada.interesting video .Thanks for sharing
This was great watching! Thank you!!! The food looks good 👍
Yes, it's very practical when you have everything with you on the run from wolves, from screwdrivers to suitable plastic bags and tarpaulins to an oven.
Happy 2024 New Year, can't wait to see you chart new adventures.
Texas 🇺🇸
he escapes from the wolves and has time to film himself
and hang crap in the deer blind !!!
Drama, baby😮
Smart man
Exactly my thoughts.

We, teenagers, fixed up old abanded farm house, just top part rest was gone good tin foof no leaks, found old wood stove was our off grid 1967 to 1970. Just grew up and left the old camp, Out BH.
Where does all the light in the cabin comes from and who filmed him? This person delivered the food and did the dish washing after?
If you need to put your wooden CABIN up a 15' treestand, the only wolves you might want to protect yourself from would be werewolves !!
Nah don't agree ,you can't take any chance with ordinary wolves ,way too powerfull in there hunting packs be safe not sorry .
Complete boredom, cold, cramped, lonely and staring at the logs. You could not pay me to do that.
If you hear a knock on the door don’t open, it’s a wolf that came up the stairs and wants to come in to eat you🤣🤣
It's only me, Little Red Riding Hood! Let me in!
Hear him howling round your kitchen door, better not let him in, little old lady got mutilated late last night, Werewolves of London again....
RIP Warren Zevon
Thank you for the impression. Greatings from Frankfurt Germany. 💪🏻👍
Love the creative/dramatic titles 'escaping' hehe. I am sure there are real wolves around for real though, just not here. Lovely video.
@friarfxz: Also the supports for the hut had a definite "lean" to them which made it appear a bit scary. None the less this was a fun video to watch.
@friarfox You are a little ray of sunshine aren't you
Much respect sir.
Nossa!esses uivos me dão arrepios 😮feliz ano novo pra vc ❤❤
when the fire is lit it feels so cozy. thanks for sharing😊😊😊
Excuse me. Where is the wolf please😅
That thing looks like its going to fall over.
Uninformed minds😂😂😂😂seriously! Kids today, we can all safely assume she's not an architect or engineer😂😂😂😂
