    great video! i have never used blender before and i actually managed to get it all to work (on my first time) however ive tried about 10 more times on other models and either i have problems converting them with blockblender (it doesnt select all of the blocks) and i also have problems with the colour selection (way too many colours)
    im very excited to see any future updates! this is a game changer for sure!

    Well done!!! When I wrote the grid distribution for the volume distribute node I had minecraft in mind. It just never occurred to me someone would do what you did and recreate the block set with automatic texturing, and that someone else would go ahead and turn it into the successor to binvox. Will definitely put this to use in my creative server!

    Some feedback, mainly on the minecraft side since I know nothing about blender or graphic design:
    -It's not just shulker boxes that have a shorter distance, it's also chests, trapped chests and ender chests
    -Sponges can be unstable, wet versions will dry out in the nether and dry sponges will become wet if they're near water
    -There should be a way to "force" blocks from older versions, 1.8.9 and 1.12.2 are the most common old versions in multiplayer, additionally, some blocks may change categories depending on what version you're in, for example, wet sponges are stable prior to 1.15 and smooth stone can't be obtained in survival prior to 1.14
    -Not sure if this is already added, but there should be a configuration for a build's interior, it shouldn't be hollow bc then mobs will spawn there and make horrendous noises and it shouldn't waste precious blocks if they're not going to be seen
    -There should be a category for blocks that enderman can steal

    • @SidusBrist
      @SidusBrist 3 месяца назад

      Unfortunately it's complicated to make the interior "solid" because faces on a 3D model only make the contours of the object and the interior is always hollow in every model... but it's possible and I hope they'll implement it!

      I think structure wise it'd be invaluable to have a good first-person reference for shaping & scale. It's crazy how sometimes despite the lack of texturing/detail, good shaping, scale and composition can still make the build look great.

    • @eroticmanhole
      @eroticmanhole Год назад

      @@klipche think tracing can be super helpful with learning depending on how you go about it; if you're learning from what you're doing and applying it to your own independent work, for example. Also, you can't expect an automated program which converts exact hues into corresponding blocks to have the creativity and nuance of a builder. Even just using this tool for schematics, regardless of its ability to make a baller gradient or whatever, is probably extremely useful for a lot of people. (No harm meant!)
