As much as I hate 2K for jacking up VC prices, their T.O.S, latency issues, or whatever one of my biggest problems and reasons I don’t play 2K anymore is the community. Everybody wants the “meta” build to just copy and paste, nobody wants to find something that works for them. Everybody just wants to equip the most broken animations to left right into a three now and that’s killed the fun of the game for me

Reaction time is everything in 2k.. late block animations, wonky steal animations that throw u half way across court and not being able to read plays .. 2k making my player slow down or do a weird half squat when I'm trying to jump for the ball.. I can only imagine how terrible the reboundding is and under the rim animations

2k16 clears every 2k since by so much it's hard to even put into words I mean .... gameplay graphics soundtrack bringing the nba to life attention to detail menus commentary you name it 2k16 did it better.... idk if a new sports game will ever top it

Y'all lucky you actually to play online in WWE 2K. The match doesn't even start the game, which usually crashes from the loading screen. If the match does start, it lasts around 5-30 seconds before it crashes.

I play now online. It’s like they added a bunch but it doesn’t feel better at all. The driving and defensive play under the basket felt better last year IMO.
They do this every year since 23. the 1st/1st few seasons sliders are od for close shot, game speed slow, sucked in animations, etc; then they drop a patch and the entire game changes to the 2k that we are used to. It’s almost like we’re playing the beta version then eventually wang “adjusts” the sliders/entire gameplay to what we’re used to
I've pre ordered this game for 14 years and played for 16. I'll probably still get it in November when it's half off and play mostly MyGM like I have for the last 4.
Ive just been playing 2k14-16 on my series X playing offline mycareer and i have so much fun doing it. I even have more fun playing on the 360 mycareer on 2k13. I dont like paying $170 dollars to get my overall to 85 anymore, and i create my character like how i am in real life and its a very shitty build compared to others. In the older 2ks you could do it and make it fun. Just wanted to put my thoughts out there.

I agree with your points but I do think taller guards like lebron should feel heavy to play, good small point guards are fast and unpredictable at times but thats how it should be. That doesn’t make small guards overpowered it makes them balanced, cause a lebron build can finish on them 100% of the time now. Height actually matters for once, I hated 6’3 point guards getting a contest on 7 foot centers in the paint💀

Nah you right about the defense the on ball and off ball defense is cheesy asl no lie like animations is king for the offense if your on the defensive side,I feel like challenger is non existent because if you close out on someone shooting whether if it’s a catch and shoot or off the dribble pull up if he times it right it your closeout will not matter I just got off the game and my friend has a 92 PD and he closed out heavily contested the other player even fell to the ground and he greened it right in his face I had to question myself if I should still keep playing this or wait for the first patch

Dont play mycareer on the spurs. CP3 has probably the worst ai I've ever seen. Mycareer as a whole is a joke. I let go of the movement stick, and yet I still take like 5-6 steps with my hands off the controller. The shooting isn't terrible but it's annoying to have your jumper change constantly. Tell me why in crunch time they switch cp3 onto Luka and put my sg onto Kyrie. Could t do anything on defense, just getting g iso'd and backed down by Luka for easy lay. This game does not know what basketball is and fails to simulate basketball. This shit the same as madden with football. None of the players on the court act like they know they are playing basketball or are even aware whats going on. The cpu defense is so amazing but it confuses me why the users cpu can't be smart too. Why does the game have to be geared against the user instead of for? These games are lousy

That's how I felt when I played WWE 2K23 for the first time in YEARS. The graphics, the models and the detail, the gameplay, etc. First time I had fun in a while. Back to 2K basketball, I really don't want them to touch shooting AT ALL. I'm glad that we're missing our shots at times and not so automatic. That to me feels more realistic. The rhythm shooting is something I HOPE they keep because that's been KEY to my spot up shots going in. I just want them to fix the AI when it comes to defense. They often dumb out and do outlandish crap that can cause lapses in defense.

Haven’t bought the game yet. Is it still delayed and unresponsive when trying to dribble? Are shorter guards still cones out there on defense? Is the passing/catching still terrible(long telegraphed passing animations from 24, teammates fumbling the ball like it’s full of lube & throwing the ball off of the back of people for no reason)? Started playing in 2k18 my freshman year of college with all my friends, sad to see the decline of this franchise since then.

Yup, 23 was too slow so they sped up 24……when you go back and adjust the game speed up in 23 it plays JUST like 24. Try it.

Turn off passive dribble hand switch in controller settings if it feels like your player if dribbling on his own

The shooting meter is terrible. Idk why they force you to use the arrow. I play causally so I’m not trying to be the best player I just enjoy playing to relax
U can change the meter or cut it off

@10dev785 It's subjective. There's areas that I like, then there's areas that I don't like. Overall, it's a mixed bag but I can understand where they're taking it. It's not bad tbh.
@@JDivine911 I had to change my whole outlook on how to approach this game. And since i did that im now loving the hell out of this 2k. It's the best 2k since 2k14. Also, I'm on the PC, and this is my very first 2k next gen experience and dame I can't believe what I was missing. I hope 2k does NOT TOUCH this game at ALL!!!!! Cause once they touch this game its over for EVERYBODY................the game will be trash for everybody including yourself. Hopefully 2k just patches you console players and leave us alone
@10dev785 Well yeah it's gonna feel like that for you since you haven't played 2K in such a long time, but it definitely feels different. That's how I felt when I played WWE 2K23 for the first time in YEARS. The graphics, the models and the detail, the gameplay, etc. First time I had fun in a while.
Back to 2K basketball, I really don't want them to touch shooting AT ALL. I'm glad that we're missing our shots at times and not so automatic. That to me feels more realistic. The rhythm shooting is something I HOPE they keep because that's been KEY to my spot up shots going in. I just want them to fix the AI when it comes to defense. They often dumb out and do outlandish crap that can cause lapses in defense.

@youngzeus87 Again, you're assuming. If I was engagement farming, then I'd be trashing every trending game that came out. Not just sports games. I'm being honest about these games and if I like it then I'll say I like it. But if I don't, then I'll say I don't. I'm not giving up on 2K25, just don't like how people didn't speak on the entirety of gameplay. It'll take some getting used to.

@@buhtcheeks Man listen. I had to put Madden last in my list due to its scripted games. I would prefer CFB 25 over it anyways. I haven’t bought 2K yet (I’m still tempted to do so), but I’d still even put that ahead of Madden.

Haven’t bought the game yet. Is it still delayed and unresponsive when trying to dribble? Are shorter guards still cones out there on defense? Is the passing/catching still terrible(long telegraphed passing animations from 24, teammates fumbling the ball like it’s full of lube & throwing the ball off of the back of people for no reason)? Started playing in 2k18 my freshman year of college with all my friends, sad to see the decline of this franchise since then.
