This tutorial helped me out A LOT! 10/10 tutorial! :)
Spent the last 4 days looking for an answer and this saved me! Thanks!!!
TYSM! This video is 100% working as of 2022 november
Love your videos they help alot thanks.
howcome in all these tutorials they already have like some wii u folder thing with everything in it
Whenever I want to use Wuphax I get the message "failed to open backup file" and then I just return to the Menu :/
Any idea whats wrong ? I even factory reset mi Wii U and tried it again... still the same problem
edit. okay... fixed the problem.
There is this small lever on every SD card to write protect it. I always thought that was bs, but the moment I put it in the non protect mode it worked without a problem.

Why did you need to run Haxchi again, after leaving Wii Channel, although you had run it before ruuning the Wii channel?
I think it resets so you have to do it again.
@@peabrew you should install the thing that makes it so it runs haxchi automatically
Thank you for this great tutorial.
before i did the cios installer and patcher, usbloader gx loaded to the menu with all my games but reset to homebrew channel when loading a game. After doing this it freezes on checking hdd.... wont even load to the menu now
My d2x ios installer is freezing on the press any button screen
Can this guide still be followed if your WiiU has Hombrew installed via the browser exploit? I don't have Haxchi.
I dont know if anyone else is having this problem, but when i go into the Mii channel for the first time, all i see is a blank screen with some text that says "FAT Init" I have waited for half an hour now while waiting on it.
i have installed couple of VC and WiiWare games, and copied them to SD Card, some of games works, but some of games are failed to launch. does the patch ios80 will fix that issue?
Do I really need the patched iOS80? and if so for what?
How do I get Hachxi channel? homebrew channel? did I miss something?
I have my wii game backuos on a hdd i used on wii. Do I need to convert these before using with vwii?
i dont think so
When I went to the website there is no wuphax download
its back up retry
Cios slot 249 will be overwritten
So for some reason, cIOS won’t install. Is there a way to fix this?
Update: I got it to install
Are you connected to the internet?
@@tk7977 yes I am
How did you get it to install, im connected to the Internet but it keeps failing

So what is the purpose of doing this part if you’ve done the other Wii U part, sorry it wasn’t explained in the video why you’d need it or what it can do differently from the modded Wii U. And can you do a video showing how to add games (GC, Wii, WiiU) and specifically showing what you were saying at the end about certain games bricking (wads) so we’d know what to do? How does this or the other Wii U video affect if I’ve already installed everything from my Wii to the Wii U but not modded the Wii U yet? Like do we need to do something specific with files already on the memory card for the Wii transfer? What size card do you recommend if you are going to use games from an external (can you show how to do that too?). Sorry for all the questions.
Homebrewing the vWii allows you to access Wii homebrew, which has a lot more options than just Wii U homebrew. I already have videos on adding GC/Wii/WiiU games. When you install a wad it needs to be made for vWii. If it was made for original Wii your vWii will brick. Homebrewing your WiiU won't affect anything already on it. If u want to put games that are not WiiU such as GC or NES a fat32 HDD would be fine. Just plug it in the same way you do with your normal WiiU HDD. Make sure you don't format it
