What I really like about the “is that a threat” running gag is that the “Wii play, do you?” pun really only works in English, but that didn’t stop them from translating half of it.
But they didn't translate it, they just translated the rest of the tag line.

As a kid, my mum would have to take the controller and play that part as I hid outside. It TERRIFIED young me.
Getting the platinum medal on the fishing game still remains as my greatest life accomplishment to this day.

Honestly this game is very nostalgic to me. Tanks, the cow game, and the fishing game are the best creations of humanity in the past few hundred years. Those 3 mini-games are the crowning achievements of this era. They will be the main things this era is remembered for by archeologists tens of thousands of years into the future.
