The only caveat is waiting for the Sniperwild to get into range of your lock on, Thundaga is obviously the best choice as it has the most reach and power, I suggest bringing 40-60+ Ethers so you don't have to reload the area as often to go get MP back, Goofy should also have MP Gift on to make this ever so slightly easier.

@Jalisa Topp very true. after I tried this I figured out for some reason it was dropping every wave instead of just the percent chance it would drop. idk why but made it super easy.

You can’t do this early on as your too weak to one combo them especially on Proud mode, what level are you and what difficulty your playing on would have been helpful
The last hit of your finisher knocks them pretty far at low levels. Just hit them away from the group. This resets their aggro too if they've seen you but havent called for help.
Bruh when I first ran into these heartless I didn’t know about the never stop coming thing with the lock on and I fought for so long I was getting so frustrated 😂

Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu- I wish I had knowledge that this would be needed when I was doing my level grinding. Saw these guys so many times going back and forth from Gizmo to Hotel. Damn. Could’ve killed two birds with one stone. Oh well. Thanks for the guide!
Been having an issue where it's made me do 6 waves instead of 3 and they're them huddling together looking 3 different ways on the ground never jumping up
Great tips! But i am struggling right now to even find sniperwild. I already tried to switch map, but it's not spawning. Do you know any indication they are going to spawn?
It’s like he said. Go into the Second District from the first and if that initial group of Heartless don’t spawn then the Sniperwild is there. What might be happening is that rare Heartless tend not to spawn if you only go back and forth between two rooms. What’s worked well for me is if I don’t see the Sniperwild in the Second District, I go back into the First District and then into the Accessory shop, then back to the Second District and I get the Sniperwild more than 50% of the time. Hope this helps
What I do is defeat all the heartless in the second district run through the 3rd district to the 1st (without defeating the heartless) and back to the second and they always appear for me
This isn't that fast... kill one, then spam thundaga near their spawn. It prevents them from calling for backup, and you can pretty easily get two stones in a row this way.
wait a minute...it doesn't matter if they spot you as long as you kill them before they spawn reinforcements? god damn it i wish i knew that earlier ive been having a hell of time grinding these stupid things thinking you lose out on the power stone as soon as the spot you...
See the issue im having is yall are like super late game for this I'm level 50 right now it takes me a min to kill one so am I just not going to be able to get the exp items mats till later in levels?
The power stones are used in synthesis for (Exp earring x1), (Titan chain x1), and (Fantasista x3). So unless you make multiples of any of these items you only need 5. here is a great synthesis overview goo.gl/qYjft6
I'm only around level 60 at the moment, and of course I had to go and choose the rod at the beginning. Hahaha! It just takes me more hits than 3. So far what I've done is use Stopra twice and that takes care of one, but then the next ones spot me and I'm toast. Haha.
You need to be able to kill the mobs without the other ones getting set off. Also requires that your able to kill these mobs in 4-5 hits otherwise you may linger long enough for one of the others to notice you. Hope this helps.
As long as you can keep whacking them before they whistle, you're good. I'm on a proud mode file (LV.45 with Olympia and no boosts) prior to Hollow Bastion and I've had my run-ins with them as soon as they could spawn.
My A.I must be fucking Harvard grads cause they walk right up to me all together everytime till i have no where to go spotting me from 30 feet away. Legit cannot get them to seperate
Wait a minute if they see you does that mean you won't get any loot? I've been manhandling these assholes for an hour now waiting for a Power Stone lol
yes they have to not see you. What I did with 99% chance to not get spotted is stand here 2:00 on the floor, don't get up the platforms. I wear as many MP boosting accessories and MP weapons then camp at the spot. When you see a sniperwild walk in front of you, lock on and keep casting Firaga. You can just hit normally if the heartless is alone, but if there are more than 2 sniperwilds use the Firaga method.
Hi y'all. Went back on replay. Found. That sniperwilds can be dealt brutal damage with firaga and equip an atlas armlet (if you can), Shiva belt, royal crown. Takes 6 fires with a full mp Sora (19, Beat Ice Titan, choose DR Lvl 60) Magic is based on MP damage maxes out at level 60. Customize Sora: Thun (for 3) Stop (ga if you can) Firaga And then equip Donald & Goofy with as many Ethers as they can hold. (Worth the 200 munny appeice to load up). Goofy try to max his MP out with any MP stat boost equip RoL at least, Save The Queen, Defender or Dream Shield, remove Evolution and any MP abilities. Set both Donald & Goofy To MP items IMMEDIATELY Lucky strike on all 3 (lvl 48 with DR) Just wait for first one to turn. Fly at it or wait until it jumps on right side from 1D entrance. Hit it with six fires no stop. I fire 7 just in case one misses. -2 SW Option 1: easier/more MP Option 2: More cracks at PS Stand right behind steps after first one disappears then lock on to far SW UNLOAD fire on it. Second one hopefully gets in the way keep firing through first into second. If not. Find second one after first dead. By grabbing ledge as demonstrated in video. Then lock on should auto find SW if not flip out and lock on at highest point auto will find SW here irregardless. Then get to a close enough distance to fire if possible from cover. Get back to stairs if done right. Should have 17MP and 15bars of charge (when starting go heavy on the firaga) -3SW +Easier/less efficient. Cast Stop magic from behind steps. lock on far SW then hit L2 quickly should get free SW if not double tap L2 stop again then run out hit thunder twice cast stop again hit thunder twice. You should still be locked on far SW hit it with Fire once (Double tap for guarantee) Then Lock on to either kill that one. Last one should be glowing at you but you can kill it with two fires before any others appear. Note: They will keep moving towards you between stops if mistimed but you should be able to get two thunders off. If not stop between thunder until your magic finger goes from semi to fully auto. Goal is four thunders but you might miss one or two with each cast. If you do stop-thunder-s-T-s-T (don't worry about MP until third wave) jump into the air before thunder cast. For max range and damage. PS drop almost guaranteed if 3 lucky strikes equipped but 💯 guaranteed at second wave with 3 LS. +my method Cast stop on far SW from behind steps. Hit with 7 fires -hit L2 after final cast get into range of second if possible both then fire-L2-fire-l2-fire-l2-fire-l2 until I finally have both alternating with damage. Until both dead. +Alternate 3SW when more desperate. Lock on far SW-Stop-2T-Fire on both because 2nd locked on one will come past stairs if all 3 do recast stop if not fire-L2-fire-l2 until both dead. Find 3rd with stair grab method then kill it with a simple combo into a triple fire. Or 7 fires as usual. Second wave below. Edit: guy writing this long guide, soft resetted six stones/five wave single run to write guide whilst playing it. I made a lot of typos. Took 2 hours. Hopefully it was worth it for my fellow KH lovers going on a replay or anyone new to the game.
Second Wave -1 SW Fire from just behind the imagination plane of the back wall of steps right in the middle facing entrance. -2 SW +Method 1 faster Hold steady. lock on Fire-L2-fire-l2-fire-l2-fire-thunder-thunder-thunder-thunder +method 2/efficient Lock on F-L2-F-L2-(x7) +Method 3.0 safe Lock on Stop-((Tx2)/( JxT-SJxT)(x3) Method 3.5 safe/MP conservation Get behind steps. Lock on to far SW barbeque that b, then lock on to second, do the same. Hopefully it crosses path of first flames. +Method 4 safe/easy. From behind steps lock on to far SW- Stop (should hit both) roast it. Stop on second one roast that one. Get back behind steps. No matter what roll behind steps or jump up on ledge. -3SW +if on steps face keyhole. Drop down as spawn locking onto head of triangle cast stopga will hit all 3 if you were on ledge. T-Stop-t-stop method recommended will drain goofy of MP with mp gift in this wave with this method. +If you feel confident try S-(DoubleT)-Stop method. +If less confident. Fire on locked on lead after stop Cast stop again after 4/5 will still be stopped. Hit with 3/4 more (to be safe) as you'll be pushed back and if it is stopped in a jumping position first fire may have missed. L2-Stop Roast that one. L2-roast final. Guaranteed PS/rare 2 item drop/double rare 2PS drop. -3SW (behind steps) +Safe/efficient Lo either in front of steps. Cast stop-Cast thunder from there (goal is to hit unstopped SW). L2 until locked on far stopped one. Recast stop.Roast it. (If your thunder hit 3rd unstopped SW cast doublethunder-stop combo until all 3 are dead. Don't be stingy) If only 2 stopped then cast stop after far SW is dead. Should cast on closest one to steps step into open hit L2 if you lock on to free SW hit stop if possible if not hit thunder then stop. If no Target switch just roast second one until dead. Find 3rd with ledge grab or just wait until it steps into your obstructed line of sight (if health gauge appears at any time hit lock on) and lock on. Roast it to save MP. If less than five MP bars left on Sora follow first method below. +MY METHOD stand behind steps with from entrance of hotel right door (of the double doors) visible. Lock on to far SW fire-l2-thunder-r2-fire-(anything hit with thunder should appear after this fire)-L2-fire-thunder- step slightly into visible line of both of them whilst also stepping back if third one not hit/(alternatively cast stop if all 3 are in line of sight-l2-stop-l2-stop will freeze all 3 for a jumping thunder-stop x5 for all 3 guaranteed dead) then-l2-fire-l2-fire until all are dead. If 3 in line of sight alternate with thunder instead of fire until dead. Third wave below...
Third wave... Will play drastically differently if played cautious as MP Will matter if you exclusively roasted you should be fine for a whole other wave. If out of MP or less than 5 (means everyone's out of Ethers) after death of final SW get to third district alley with camera looking back to make sure you aren't followed. Wait for battle menu to change back to blue. Use a cottage. Reload on Ethers if you have any (worth investing). Approach third district alley entrance and edge of stair wall wait until SW is in sight lock on. Wait until it does a scan in opposite direction get close enough to stop it. Then roast it. Now you can repeat First wave method exactly. Third wave will usually net 2PS and a menu use recovery item, If you reloaded on Ethers can then follow with second wave method, if not roll back after third wave and wait for menu to change cottage or camping set + Ethers as needed. Note: Heartless get faster every wave. Superglide recommended for 5 waves. If alternating between thunder-roasting. Follow previous method use then follow above because you will have less than five after you kill final of 3SW (items drop over your head no matter what) if you didn't kill a few of the single spawns with combos. Note writing this with average of seven waves and ten PS per soft reset. Save at accessory shop after each successful five wave retry the spawn if you have encounter plus. Try again without reloading items to restock on the monkeys they tend to drop a few Ethers. Find that you'll trigger a double Power Stone drop more readily from Wave 2 but occasionally will get a 2 menu-Recovery item drop as well. Soft reset when hit if you don't get a first wave drop the second encounter, escape and save if you run out of magic. Usually after/during 3 waves. If you can do the combo method you can get two five wave drops on one save if you're dead accurate with your thunders and stops. Otherwise you'll do a little fourth wave hunting. Fourth wave below.
Finally. My fastest method. Sora no combo pluses Only ripple drive and aerial finish besides utility abilities. Jump onto ledge behind keyhole. Lock on as soon as possible. Wait until it is steady stepping on the lowest ground and jump superglide at it. Smack it with a 3 hit ground combo. Wait for second spawn, stop immediately. 3 hit combo stair side, l2 as ripple drive hits, into a 3 hit combo hotel side. Quick turn towards steps. Lock on stop as I turn camera. Try to lock on to far one. If possible if not get behind steps cast one thunder as I adjust camera to see both above the ledge and both stopped cycling to hotel side heartless. Cast a second stop right after first thunder or once locked onto hotel side. Hit with 3 whilst stopped and a fourth as I hit L2. Jump up lock on if possible if third jumped onto hotel side I cast stop then jump at it with a 3 hit combo, otherwise roast if mid distance, combo if on/near stairs. Wave 2 Wait for spawn. Right in the middle of steps and hotel ledge. 3 hit combo. Wait for spawn if facing gizmo shop will alternately roast if still behind steps. Will hit stop then 3 hit combo both. Get behind steps turn camera lock on. Stop. Thunder x2 stop thunder x3 (will break thunder chain if third lands in front to lock on then stop that one jump at trio l2 stop other two) then continue thunder chain in the middle until five land on final. The Wave 3 Wait for spawn. 3 hit combo. Wait for spawn stop, 2 3 hit combo kills (all usually end in Ripple Drive) Get right at back of steps facing entrance lock on to parallel pair, stop, Target switch, stop simultaneously. If failed, will jump behind wall casting thunder recenter camera-stop- 4 thunders. Jump up lock on. Fire if possible, combo if close enough, air combo to fire if caught mid air, mid Sora jump. Otherwise you land mid combo if not a full jump into a ripple finish or end with aerial finish. Wave 4 Wait at spawn facing gizmo shop, 3 hit combo. Wait facing gizmo shop, stop on spawn combo one. L2 + Dodge roll past stopped pair. Turn roast other as it unfreezes, sometimes requires a chase. (Usually this is where I fail, because I'm stingy, but if it gets too far jump at it and hit it with stop then roast it). Goal is on gizmo side turn to face entrance. If still in the middle you lucked into a calm pair. Lock onto parallel ones Stop them. If possible Target switch onto entrance side one. If not roll behind steps as I cast thunder Target switch if not on hotel side one stop recast, four thunders always break if third walks into try to Target switch whilst continuing thunder chain if at 1 otherwise cast a second stop then cycle if missed whilst casting thunder. Will hit 3rd. If just two caught. Will jump straight up. If I can lock on. If on either ledge will cast thunder if possible if far. Will land jump and superglide towards keyhole, or middle if approaching middle and lock on + stop as soon as hp bar appears. Wave 5 Exact same sequence as Wave 4. Unless too far from first spawn then will stop or jump/glide towards it cast stop as I approach and roast it, then return to center for second spawn. 4 minutes tops. 5-6 stones. Good luck y'all.
Final Note Munny Ethers and Cottages for anyone who didn't choose the dream rod. If you Use 2 cottages and party will waste a max of 28 Ethers, (if you have 16 mp or higher don't reload ethers between wave 4 &5 not worth it) know that you will net at least 2 cottages sometimes up to five menu-recovery items and a handful of hi-potions and Ethers with the potential for 10-16 Power Stones for every 2 sets of five waves. More than worth the 4800 used to buy the Ethers. Sell off the hi Potions, tents and camping sets you'll keep getting better. And you'll gain a massive amount of xp. 2750 for every five waves you kill. Totaling 5500/10-16 stones/~4 Ethers/2-5 cottages and sellable tents/camping sets/and hi Potions. Go kill some dead monkeys for me. The greatest dead monkey killer to play this game. I snipe they asses. Facts though.

These Sniperwilds put the monkey in monkey business. One time I needed Goofy to use MP Gift on me, he never did and was caught, they didn't make it easy for sure.
This method worked for me first try at lvl44 taking them out one at a time with lighting or firaga
No matter how many of them I defeat they have not dropped a single power stone. Does anyone have any idea how to fix this?
Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu-
I wish I had knowledge that this would be needed when I was doing my level grinding. Saw these guys so many times going back and forth from Gizmo to Hotel. Damn. Could’ve killed two birds with one stone. Oh well. Thanks for the guide!
It works!!!! Thank you so much
If you ever get spotted, go to the Hotel and fight all the Heartless in it and go back out and the Sniperwild should respawn.
I'm currently playing on proud mode and I'm dealing with infinite waves of them yet their is no power stone drops -_-
The game hates me lol
Drops nothing but potions for me. Good strategy but I'm so fucking tired of this shit luck
*facepalm* I was like "wow this seems like a lot more than 30"
Been having an issue where it's made me do 6 waves instead of 3 and they're them huddling together looking 3 different ways on the ground never jumping up
I Only Got 1 Power stone And Im Proud Of it Now I need 4 more ;-;
Good job man! Thank you
What I do is defeat all the heartless in the second district run through the 3rd district to the 1st (without defeating the heartless) and back to the second and they always appear for me
thanks for the strategy, bud!
When they don't spawn go one of the shops then go back out and to the area
This isn't that fast... kill one, then spam thundaga near their spawn. It prevents them from calling for backup, and you can pretty easily get two stones in a row this way.
Show me.
@@progexcelerate i stopped playing this a while ago and I dont make vids... just try to kill one and spam thundaga near others, see what happens
@@maxg3372 I tried it. One gets away and calls the others. Inconsistent, but it worked for a sec
Excellent video!! Keep it up :)
wait a minute...it doesn't matter if they spot you as long as you kill them before they spawn reinforcements? god damn it i wish i knew that earlier ive been having a hell of time grinding these stupid things thinking you lose out on the power stone as soon as the spot you...
I know im very late, but I cant get them to spawn! I already locked the keyhole in Hollow Bastion. What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance
3:19 How the hell did the sniper see you?
See the issue im having is yall are like super late game for this I'm level 50 right now it takes me a min to kill one so am I just not going to be able to get the exp items mats till later in levels?
I bet this is gonna work for me thanks buddy
I just wait for them to be alone if they are in a group and take them out one by one by gliding to them
How many powerstones do you need in total? Just wondering so I can make a rough estimate on how many times I have to do this.
The power stones are used in synthesis for (Exp earring x1), (Titan chain x1), and (Fantasista x3). So unless you make multiples of any of these items you only need 5.
here is a great synthesis overview

Better method thanks
This is clutch ty!
What level are you at? I tried them tonight and it took like around 6 hits for me.
Chaz Egnew at this point I was around 80 or 90 if I remember correctly. Was it pretty difficult to pick them off at your level?
I'm only around level 60 at the moment, and of course I had to go and choose the rod at the beginning. Hahaha! It just takes me more hits than 3. So far what I've done is use Stopra twice and that takes care of one, but then the next ones spot me and I'm toast. Haha.
hmm, sounds like you may need to do some leveling and equip some higher strength equipment before you can take em on.
This doesn’t work
You need to be able to kill the mobs without the other ones getting set off. Also requires that your able to kill these mobs in 4-5 hits otherwise you may linger long enough for one of the others to notice you. Hope this helps.
My games save was screwed up so I had to re load it and it worked
Dramatic Paws they weren’t spawning that was the problem
Guys I found the solution
Stopga
thank fucking god i love you
I don’t do as much damage as you and Idk if I can kill them before they whistle.
As long as you can keep whacking them before they whistle, you're good. I'm on a proud mode file (LV.45 with Olympia and no boosts) prior to Hollow Bastion and I've had my run-ins with them as soon as they could spawn.
The GOAT
Can you use Stop ti hit the monkey?
yes though they have stop resistance so it wont last super long
This made my life so much easier hahaha
OMG. So thats how you do it!
thank you!!!
Giant Buttholes won me over. Bravo.
me wondering why he calls himself "dramatic pause" >> then watching the full video xD
THEY WONT DIE THAY JUST KEEP COMING FOR ME

My A.I must be fucking Harvard grads cause they walk right up to me all together everytime till i have no where to go spotting me from 30 feet away. Legit cannot get them to seperate
thx
This worked for me! Thank you so much!
#girlfriendknowsbest
I was doing so well but fucking Donald and Goofy keep falling off the ledge and getting spotted!!
You can just hit normally if the heartless is alone, but if there are more than 2 sniperwilds use the Firaga method.
they are craazzyy annoying
Dramatic. .........PAWS!!!
the most bullshit heartless in the entire game, tysm
And yet they still refuse to drop the stone for me... Monkey jerks...
they r pain in the ass
Hi y'all. Went back on replay. Found. That sniperwilds can be dealt brutal damage with firaga and equip an atlas armlet (if you can), Shiva belt, royal crown. Takes 6 fires with a full mp Sora (19, Beat Ice Titan, choose DR Lvl 60)
Magic is based on MP damage maxes out at level 60.
Customize
Sora:
Thun (for 3)
Stop (ga if you can)
Firaga
And then equip Donald & Goofy with as many Ethers as they can hold. (Worth the 200 munny appeice to load up).
Goofy try to max his MP out with any MP stat boost equip RoL at least, Save The Queen, Defender or Dream Shield, remove Evolution and any MP abilities. Set both Donald & Goofy
To MP items IMMEDIATELY
Lucky strike on all 3 (lvl 48 with DR)
Just wait for first one to turn.
Fly at it or wait until it jumps on right side from 1D entrance.
Hit it with six fires no stop. I fire 7 just in case one misses.
-2 SW
Option 1: easier/more MP
Option 2: More cracks at PS
Stand right behind steps after first one disappears then lock on to far SW UNLOAD fire on it.
Should have 17MP and 15bars of charge (when starting go heavy on the firaga)
-3SW
+Easier/less efficient.
Cast Stop magic from behind steps. lock on far SW then hit L2 quickly should get free SW if not double tap L2 stop again then run out hit thunder twice cast stop again hit thunder twice. You should still be locked on far SW hit it with Fire once (Double tap for guarantee)
Then Lock on to either kill that one.
Last one should be glowing at you but you can kill it with two fires before any others appear.
Note:
They will keep moving towards you between stops if mistimed but you should be able to get two thunders off.
+my method
Cast stop on far SW from behind steps. Hit with 7 fires
-hit L2 after final cast get into range of second if possible both then fire-L2-fire-l2-fire-l2-fire-l2 until I finally have both alternating with damage.
Second Wave
-1 SW Fire from just behind the imagination plane of the back wall of steps right in the middle facing entrance.
-2 SW
+Method 1 faster
Hold steady.
lock on Fire-L2-fire-l2-fire-l2-fire-thunder-thunder-thunder-thunder
+method 2/efficient
Lock on F-L2-F-L2-(x7)
+Method 3.0 safe
Lock on Stop-((Tx2)/( JxT-SJxT)(x3)
Method 3.5 safe/MP conservation
Get behind steps.
-3SW
+if on steps face keyhole.
Fire on locked on lead after stop
Cast stop again after 4/5 will still be stopped.
Hit with 3/4 more (to be safe) as you'll be pushed back and if it is stopped in a jumping position first fire may have missed.
L2-Stop Roast that one.
L2-roast final.
Guaranteed PS/rare 2 item drop/double rare 2PS drop.
-3SW (behind steps)
+Safe/efficient
Lo either in front of steps. Cast stop-Cast thunder from there (goal is to hit unstopped SW). L2 until locked on far stopped one. Recast stop.Roast it. (If your thunder hit 3rd unstopped SW cast doublethunder-stop combo until all 3 are dead. Don't be stingy)
If only 2 stopped then cast stop after far SW is dead.
+MY METHOD
stand behind steps with from entrance of hotel right door (of the double doors) visible.
Sora no combo pluses
Only ripple drive and aerial finish besides utility abilities.
Wave 2
Wait for spawn.
The
Wave 3
Wait for spawn.
3 hit combo.
Wait for spawn stop, 2 3 hit combo kills (all usually end in Ripple Drive)
Get right at back of steps facing entrance lock on to parallel pair, stop, Target switch, stop simultaneously.
Wave 4
Wait at spawn facing gizmo shop, 3 hit combo.
Wave 5
Exact same sequence as Wave 4. Unless too far from first spawn then will stop or jump/glide towards it cast stop as I approach and roast it, then return to center for second spawn.
4 minutes tops. 5-6 stones.
Good luck y'all.
Final Note
Munny Ethers and Cottages for anyone who didn't choose the dream rod.
