- Please forgive the "pot scorpion" banner. That's what happens when you edit videos at 3am.
- Use Bambi to keep Goofy and Donald from hitting the Black Fungus
- equip Hurricane Blast to deal critical blow (This is an aerial combo finisher - Jump, attack twice, third swing is Hurricane blast) Sora learns Hurricane Blast at level 27 with the Dream Sword, 51 with the Dream Shield, and 18 with the Dream Rod.
- Dont equip Air Combo Plus
- Equip as many Critical Plus abilities as possible
- Equip with Wishing Star Keyblade (Obtainable in a chest at Geppetto's House after Monstro.)
- exit all the way to the desert to ensure quick respawn
- yields one to two mystery goo every run
This is a faster and easier Mystery Goo Farming method than trying to hunt down Rare Truffle's, White Mushroom, or Pink Agaricus.
You may still want to hunt these other enemies for their unique rewards but for mystery goo, this should get you everything you need in record time!!

Tip: You can wait until the Black Fungus jumps, and use Stop. This will make delivering a full aerial combo before it turns to stone a MILLION times easier.
alternatively you can pump full MP, summon simba, do a full roar, kill the entire room with with a crit lol

@@Gilmatic444 yeah but results may vary. black fungus are one of the weirdest enemy in the game. sometimes they just seemingly stop dropping mystery goo at random. imo if you're playing on ps4 (60fps) and need mystery goo, just farm it on the pink agaricus. getting 100 hits isn't too hard if you do it properly and it's a 100% chance to drop.

4 years later and this is without a doubt the best method for farming Mystery Goo. I've tried to follow other guides about getting aerial combos on the blue mushrooms and it was a total shitshow. You are a godsend my friend 🙏

Same here I’ve beaten every single Kh game more than like 5 times
So, thinking along the lines of using a summon to keep Donald and Goofy from screwing things up, I tried using Simba for the first time ever in KH1. I did everything else the same as this video, but after jumping down into the lower area of the Bazaar, I used one fully charged Proud Roar and cleared all four Black Fungus, and got three Mystery Goo and a Mystery Mold. I don't expect the results to be that great every time... but it was insanely quick and easy

I only tried it a few more times because I didn't need that many more Mystery Goo's. Of the maybe ten more tries, I didn't get another jackpot like that, but I still got a few more drops.
Full disclosure: I was a pretty high level, and had multiple Critical Plus's active.

Just wanna point out that it’s definitely the wishing star keyblade that makes this efficient. I tried this method for an hour with the divine rose keyblade and got nothing but as soon as I tried the wishing star keyblade I instantly got the last 4 I needed. Thanks for the method!
wishing star gives you a 100% crit chance (on any attack that can crit, such as finishers and slapshot). since they must be killed by a crit to drop mystery goo, wishing star isn't a must, but it helps tremendously
Spawns are finicky for these things, but as far as I can tell there is an easy way to fix it. First off, if it doesn't give you the shrooms the first 5 or 6 times, it's usually indicative that they aren't going to at all. Anytime you encounter the mushrooms, you're gonna have to go to Aladdin's house and come back. Very few times I've noticed that it wasn't enough to go to Aladdin's house, I had to go to the area right beside the desert, and go into Aladdin's house through the back. You should have better luck. Don't bother going in and out with no results for even 15 or 20 minutes. If it feels like they're just not gonna spawn, then they likely aren't going to. Leave the area and return.

Combo Master ability also helps (Deliver combo attacks even if attacks do not land). I couldn't figure out why KH players farming could do combos in the air when they weren't hitting anything! Haha

Works till this day. Waaaaay better than white mushroom. Also I figured out if you go in Aladdin’s house taking the pole then back into the room. They spawn back. Way faster than going all the way outside to the tiger mouth.

Jump graviga(in the air) attack once. Boom they're dead. Run 2 screens away rinse and repeat
I am glad this worked for others ok. I am playing on an Xbox one 1.5 edition at the endgame. I tried 5 methods with this ten times each. I went in through the backway of alladins before spawn (0 out of 10 times), I tried just going into aladdins and back through the nearby pole (0 out of 10 times), I tried going across the desert and back (0 out of 10 times), I tried saving and going to the main menu and back (0 out of 10 times), and finally I tried going to the gummi ship and back (1 out of 10 times). This might be Xbox only problem of me with the worst RNG in history. Either way my 40 minutes of toying with their spawn mine as well not be completely wasted. I would just kill stuff in Traverse Town or Pots maybe for cash.
Thank you so much. This method worked really well compared to summoning Simba, got all 14 goos with 10 runs. I did have trouble getting them to spawn but after leaving I entered Aladdin’s house, jumped out the hole in the wall then back into where the black fungus spawn and then they would usually spawn within two times of entering and leaving

Grinding the materials is actual torture. It wouldnt be so bad if they actually told you in game who drops what and where they spawn.

Just a pro tip I figured out; when Donald’s dumbass cast Stop just as two were about to exit their invincibility forms, do all of this but- use whatever Stop magic you have on them. As long as you crit them while they’re frozen, you’ll still have a chance at getting a Mystery Goo. It’ll keep the annoying bastards from jumping around, and with Bambi’s ability, you’ll have the MP to cast Stop however many times you’ll need.

Thanks man !! I think if you go back and return to agrabahh the chances to the mushrooms to spawn are higher
You can also use trinity limit if you have it, sometimes it doesn't work but I managed to get the mystery goo and a mystery goo from it, just don't summon Bambi otherwise you can't use it.
An even easier way that I used is to go to Neverland and spawn in the cabin and go out to the deck and start flying and hit the blue mushrooms. Juggle them in the air enough times and they’ll drop a mystery goo every time. I got 3 in less than 5 min

If you use simba his roar can stun them and his roars are always grantied criticals
I don't know what ability he's talking about, but I did follow everything else and this is still an awesome mystery goo farm method. m also running over to pot scorpion and farming mythril stones

Hey I also use Diamond Dust after defeating Ice Titan in Gold Match and Simba does work too I tried Bambi but I didn’t get much results as Simba thank you for this method I really had a hard time with mystery goo in the past.

Do I have to be past a certain point in the game for them to spawn in? I've been running in and out of this area for a while and nothing is spawning in besides occasionally a ton of the pot scorpions or do I need to progress more?

I don't know why but this strategy does not work for me I grind for almost an hour on end and i will be lucky if I even get one mystery goo let alone three like people say i don't know maybe I am doing something wrong I am following all the steps in my opinion going for the blue truffles in neverland is a way better method for grinding the mystery goo than this

Save yourself the trouble and use simba with a full charge.

This isn't working for me I can't do the second strike in the air to activate hurricane blast.
Riku Gamez did you make sure you have all your air combo plus abilities turned off. otherwise it takes too many swings to activate hurricane blast before you hit the ground.

Hey champ been trying the methods with encounter plus but those shrooms wont spawn just shadow ball and pots. Do I leave the world and return till they spawn back by chance?
Reginaldus Redonas if they're giving you trouble spawning you just need to exit two screens. So go out to the desert and then come back. Keep trying that.shouldnt take more than 5-10 trys. If not the I'd reset the console and try again.

I have a question, in rechain of memories, how do you capture this creatures card? LOL I mean i've attacked/killed this thing over a hundred times now.
Assad Khalif unfortunately getting that card just comes down to persistence. The best method I've found is to get 4 or 5 of Black Room map cards. Go to a world and save. Set up all your black rooms. Strike the fungus before entering battle to stun them then use the Warp sleight if you know it. Otherwise just use the quickest method you can to take them out.
If you go through all of the Black Room map cards without getting a Black Fungus enemy card, just rinse and repeat.
Dramatic Paws yeah you need those cards the black mushroom ones yeah those are hard to get I only have to 3 man this game is tough to platinum. I did everything else BTW except for beating this stupid mini game with bees. God that's the hardest fucking trophy ever I don't even think its possibly to beat 70 bees in less than a minute forty seconds. But yeah if I can get those trophies then the games finally finished.

I don't get it, it takes me nearly 100 loand in/outs just to get them to spawn once, its taken me 3 hours of farming to get 2, what am I doing wrong?
Wander von der Seele if they aren't loading then the rng may be locked to a very low multiplier. Go to orbit and come back. Try a few more times. If that still doesn't work, try resetting the console.
However, I have been hearing more comments than usual lately that the method has become more difficult. Meaning they could have patched the spawn rates on these guys. But that seems unlikely because they haven't released a patch in over a year.

Try exiting out to your gummi ship and popping back in. Also be sure you have completed the story for the area before you try this. Good luck!

I have no idea what I am doing wrong. 5 attempts and nothing. I can't get 3 attacks in the air to get hurricane blast. I hade bambi equipped, the wishing star, but I can never get it, then bambi goes away and goofy and donald come in and ruin it all anyway.
I have also tried adding COmbo Master to make it so my combo doesnt keep breaking and... still nothing.
Edit: 30 minutes of trying. best I got was a few of them to drop a ton of money. Now they have stopped spawning ever. Going to the desert, the world map, a new world and coming back, going in and out to reset the room, all do nothing. Fuck this, I am white mushroom farming.
Edit 2: First white mushroom gave me mystery goo. Hahahahaaaa ooooh lord. Fuck this item XD
