As a kid playing KH1 on the PS2, I never used Aero magic because it seemed boring, as an adult it's insanely obvious how good it is 😆 I recently played through KH2FM and it was the same case for Reflega
About casting stop, the reason why you might miss all 3 with a single stop cast is because of the option "auto-target". It's set by default and will help you target the nearest enemy with whatever action you are doing. The issue with this is that any magic cast will be centered at the enemy, which means that the stop radius starts at the enemy targeted and not at Sora. Turning off auto-target will ensure that unless you are locked onto an enemy, you can cast magic at Sora. Regardless, I wouldn't suggest this method, with high magic enough you can spam Blizzard to catch all 3 monkeys and if any escapes you can spam Thunder to catch it in time.

Incredible guide as always. I already completed my run of KH1, but there were some tips in here I didn't know! The Powerwilds were SO frustrating for me and knowing about the fire magic trick would have helped a lot.
This guide is criminally under liked. Thank you for this upload, I love all the details you go into and is a big help. I've played KH since it first came out on PS2, even still have my original copy still saying "Squaresoft" on the corner, but you can still learn more. The vid may be older, but very helpful. Thankies
I just recently fought these rare heartless for materials, I have noticed for the Chimera that if it's there only one Wight Knight spawn it will appear after the 3 waves, and for the Jet Balloon I got annoyed when the drops fell in the ocean so I figured out if you stay in place, in this case over the ship, the Jet Balloon will come you and finish it off then,
I'm in love with the Kingdom Hearts tcg. I know you made a tutorial about the dead game but have you ever thought making a tutorial with the real cards or maybe even having a duel with someone.
the sniperwilds are annoying to me since i refuse to use magic to attack from afar, meaning i take too long when swinging the keyblade at them up close to defeat one, allowing it to sound the alarm. so when i see one in the 2nd district of traverse town, i stay away from the lowest area of the room as well as the back since they can jump onto the left path past the entrance to the hallway that leads to the red and green hotel rooms

I tried to farm sniperwilds using Fira kiting, but sadly the range on Fira made it much less reliable, guess I have to do them after I finish the hades cup, ugh. Gigas Shadows were a joke though
I don’t know if this is a mechanic of the stealth soldier but I died to one and now the grand hall doesn’t spawn them anymore. I’ve had at least a hundred straight attempts at getting one and they’ve stopped coming. So I guess don’t die or else you lose a spawn point?
Interesting... I've never heard of that behavior before. I assume you are performing a room reset by moving two areas away from the Grand Hall? Returning to the Castle Chapel should reset odds, I think.
@@KHGuides I did two room resets, and for whatever reason they stopped spawning in the great hall after getting killed once. I had to reset my entire game to fix it
Where are you in the story currently? I found the encounter rate for the Gigas Shadows to be somewhat lower than other Final Mix Heartless, but performing a full room reset (moving two areas away) helps to reset the encounter table. And keep in mind that you must clear three waves of Shadows before the Gigas Shadows appear!
You enter the room in battle when they down too, so it’s easy to know when it starts up vs combat with the normal enemies needing you to move into the room a bit. I only ever needed to reset after a special spawned. Otherwise the in and out method worked for me fine. Especially in the Deep Jungle with the stop mushrooms
I cannot put into words how much I HATE the Jet Balloon. It's bad enough that it's obnoxious to fight, but the fact that it can just drop your reward into the ocean and despawn it? Absolutely disgusting.

I think the length of stop magic may, in fact, be linked to your maximum MP.
Regarding the Chimera, I actually ran into it before I ever activated that Red Trinity, so I can confirm it still can appear!

I lost probably 12 of the drops to the ocean 😭hard enough to get it to die in the first place.
Sniperwilds are my least favorite special heartless out of all the other ones in kh1
I still can’t seem to get even to 6 for the 35%. It’s just impossible for me. The Ballade isn’t much better either
This made me quit trying to platinum. Just too tedious to gather their mats.
