The rear seat reminder isn't based on weight. It just detects if you open the rear door. If you do, it assumes someone or something is back there. Next time you key off it pops the reminder.
Thanks for clarification. I thought the same thing as you said. Because if based on weight, I definitely need to go on a diet being as it goes off when I put lunch box in back lol
I just got my 2024 Equinox RS AWD, I am trying to have the speed limit sign displayed on the screen, but looks like I don’t have those menus on the top of the screen like homepage and settings. Anyone could let me know why? Thanks!
I have a 2024 LT but it has the smaller screen and not the infotainment system I do not think it is possible to make changes and add things like voltage reading and all of that.
I have 2 dumb things that my 2024 Equinox AWD has. First why does the rear window deicer (defogger ) come on when I start the SUV the first time in the morning ? And second why does the AWD light come on every time I start the SUV, Don't need it when its 80 degrees and dry ?
I definitely liked learning about the rear seat tilt. Being a taller gentleman, if i "let"🤫, my wife drive, and have friends or family riding with us, I will automatically jump in back giving female passengers the front seat. Thank you for that knowledge.
Iamm going to the dealership tomorrow my passenger does not fild down at all my husband was putting new seat covers on my front seats and he discovered my passenger does not recline at all
Who wants a 2024? Starting in may the 2025 is going to be so different! I like both rs and active trims. There's also a hybrid on the horizon maybe next year!
I hate the new design the 24 is sleek and aggressive the 25 looks so boxy like the trailblazer and traverse. That design looks great on those two but not the best on this model
1. How to permanently turn off Auto Shutoff? 2. Stop the damn horn from sounding when you get out, shut door and get back in within 30 seconds. 3. Turbo lag!!! I have to schedule a day and time before pulling out into traffic. 4. Having to hit unlock on driver door or twice on fob to unlock the driver side passenger door. 5. Right side rear door doesn't have a lock/unlock button. Why? So to unlock rear door one must press button on right front door. But only once. Not twice like on the other side which I always do, resulting in unlocking then locking. Life is too short for this foolishness. 6. And the message displayed, not once but twice a month regarding taking my eyes off the road, blah blah blah. I'm a grown ass man...don't be telling me jack about jack. I bought this car, if I want to lay down in the back seat while sailing down the highway, guess what fool, I'm get'n in the back!
Ok, don't leave you fob in the car and it won't honk at you! My wife has 2019 turbo LX 2.0, your high description is so off, this rips, turbo lag isn't even close to a issue
I can't stand the 2024 Equinox Infortainment Center.... If you are trying to play a Thumbdrive and you're by yourself you can ONLY do it by voice command this is awful.... After trying about a dozen times to speak what you want and it does not get it right you just give up! Like if you say, "Play BJ Thomas" it will respond, "Ok, calling BJ" (who is a contact of mine). Then if you have 5 or 6 albums by the same artist it is impossible to speak to the infotainment center WHICH album you want to play..... this is nothing but the Nanny State....which I don't understand because you can change the channel on the Radio and Satellite Radio manually if you're by yourself, I just can't figure our why you are locked out of doing it manually if you're driving by yourself.....many times I just have to pull over to a stop to select what I want played (and that seems more dangerous).

My son found an umbrella holder in the front doors. It’s at the top of the little cubbyholes/storage space in the doors.

I love the Passive Locking feature on these. Helps give peace of mind when you don't know if you locked your car or not.
Another great feature is the passenger seat folds all the way down as well

I just discovered today that when you lift the top on the storage compartment there are slots to snap in an ink pen.
Which storage compartment?

There is a button above the on star button(abover the rearview mirror. It looks like a little car with one door open.
