Just purchased an EV Equinox but decided against the Supercruise because of the added monthly charge after 3 years which would cost $360.00 a year + the upfront $2700 dollar price tag of that option. We got the LT2 AWD model with no sunroof. Can't wait to take delivery. Fantastic car whose interior and exterior looks way, way better in person.
Edit: We ended up taking delivery of a Black 2RS FWD with Supercruise because of difficulty getting exactly what we wanted. Already took it on a 400mi roundtrip road trip. Very happy with purchase as the car performed very well., though Supercruise and ACC weren't functional because of calibration issue, which the dealer should have taken care of prior to delivery. We are taking it back to them tomorrow for this.
When changing lanes, the turn signal can be briefly engaged (instead of a full complete engagement ) and it will signal 3 times and turn off automatically. Looking forward to the complete infotainment video.
I've loved the Google Maps in the driver cluster since the first Polestar 2 drive I did a few years ago. Great that GM has bright that to an affordable model. Thanks for the walkthrough.
Loved your video on driver display and steering wheel tutorial, however, find that the material is covered too quickly. There is a lot to digest. Looking forward to more of your display videos, especially since I now own an Equinox EV 2RS 2025.
Watched a couple of your Equinox reviews. Question have you ever been annoyed by the reflection in the front window? I had a dangerous experience when approaching a tunnel and could not see anything with the glare of the reflection. Thanks
So I always wear polarized sunglasses, so I never see it. But I have taken them off to observe the glare. It is pretty when it is extremely bright outside. So I would recommend polarized sunglasses. Not sure if Chevy knows about this issue.
Curious about traction control. I live in SoCal where our driving conditions are usually great. It seems like the default is traction control on. Is it necessary? Does it reduce energy efficiency?
Can you make a video on charge later and how you set up and include plugging in steps when to plug in during set up to charge later, do you put the plug-in first and then set your schedule or your time later or do you do it on the entertainment center first and then plug can’t wait
@@BremboT It depends on who you are. I understand why some people love Teslas, I understand that they're fast, have longer range and charge faster. It's just that they're kind of weird, I don't like the fact that they force a lot of functions on the touch screen. I don't like the way the Models 3 & Y have only one screen in the center of the car, I don't approve of the fact that they've moved the turn signals to buttons on the steering wheel. I know that a lot of folks are okay with all that, and that's their prerogative. I'd just like an EV that presents a little more like a normal car.
@darwinskeeper421 This is true. Moving the indicators to the steering was the last straw for me. Although there are aftermarket parts to mitigate those issues, but still, Tesla is doing too much. That being said, I can't let GM off the hook. Selling an inferior product for thousands more.
Auto Hold... nice to know where the button is... but uh what does it do? On my car the "hold mode" means the ICE engine runs and the battery remains at whatever state of charge it was when "hold mode" was selected. Perhaps it means the car does not creep after coming to a stop..?
I don't understand the section, beginning at 9:44, to display Waze on the DIC behind the steering wheel. The steps shown result, in the video, in Google Maps being displayed in the DIC (10:21). The Google label is visible at the bottom of the map window on the DIC. Wasn't the point to get Waze on the DIC?
What I was trying to convey was when you use Waze in the infotainment screen, you will not be able to have any maps on the DIC. The best way to get maps back on the drivers display is to reopen Google maps. Hope that clears things up. Only a big deal if you wanted Google maps for route planning and Waze for traffic and other things.
@@theaverageev Thanks for the clarification. My wife prefers Waze b/c it gives speed limit info (when you're over the speed limit) - we have the $33K model, which has no built in sign detection/ speed limit info in the DIC - and Google Maps does not give speed limits. She complained about not having Waze in the DIC.
Does anyone have a cantede steering wheel? Mine is slightly off center to the left? Also, steering wheel pulls left when I accelerate hands off.?? New 2025 equinox rs.. anyone help would be greatly appreciated
I am buying an Equinox EV tomorrow. This was an excellent tutorial. Thanks.
Thanks for watching! Enjoy!
Got my Equinox EV yesterday. I absolutely love it! So cool and comfortable.
Wow, extensive settings. Lots of possibilities.

I got lucky and found an LT2 AWD at my dealer. Just right for me! I think you’re gonna like it 😊
@@DavidBelitsky Thank you. Enjoy yours. What color did you take? We went with a white iridescent.

looking forward to the infotainment video. especially the garage door set up
Thanks for this. Great job. What else you could do is show how it can send and read text messages even with out CarPlay and android auto

Changing driver’s display. What button do you push to change the display between the various options?
It is the bottom right bottom on the right side of the steering wheel! It’s two squared with an Arrow in the middle of one.

Great info
Interesting. I like the Equinox's setup a lot better than Tesla's.
The longest range Model 3 is now cheaper than this @27k after incentives. With current pricing, Equinox is a tough sell.

Auto Hold Light will come on if you have OPD off.
Thanks for making this video. It is very helpful. Our infotainment system just went blank. Any ideas?
I can't recall this happening for me but I would do a reset. You hold down the voice assistant button until it resets. Let me know if that worked!
It would be helpful if you could say how you moved to each of the 5 driver’s screen displays
8:20 I say how the lower right button on the right side of the steering wheel cycles through the driver display options. Hope that helps!

Is there a display mode that shows the cars around you on the road?
There is not.

does this model have a head-up display? the guy in the dealership is went to said there was, but i can’t get it to work somehow
How do you program the garage remote control

What trim has Lane keep assist?
For 2024 all trims have LKA. For 2025 I think that stays true. But LKA is just basic and will pull you back into the lane, it is not lane centering
Anyone know how to remove one of the smaller icons from the top edge. I added Alexa to it but can't seem to figure how to remove it.
You just drag it down and it should disappear.

Tesla selling long range model 3 for 34k now. GM needs to knock another 5k off these for them to make sense.
I don't disagree...
Tesla 3 is ugly (subjective), you don't have a gauge cluster behind the steering wheel, and the interior is cheap. Plus I refuse to support Elon.
