    My absolute favorite part of the video is 5:14. Especially since you applauded them for how well they packaged the screen haha. I don't know how you keep getting this unlucky. Another great video Jojo!. Keep it up.

      I dont know how I got so unlucky but I am so happy that the ebay seller was as amazing as they were. If you think a broken screen is dramatic, wait until the motherboard swap video.

      Thanks Chris! Hey guys! So in an HP G3, it came with a Cern Particle Accelerator and you can totally hot rod the g1 laptops to accept the cern!

    Hello. Your video is amazing! Thanks. Question : Is ips o no ips your new screen? I don't know if all screen g3 1920 will work in my g1. People say me I'll need another cable.

    • @joesdiy4260
      @joesdiy4260  2 года назад

      Hello! Thank you for your nice comment and question. I truthfully do not know if my screen is IPS or not but I truthfully do not think that matters. As long as you have a NON-touch screen 30pin eDP cable, you will be fine. The touch screen models use the 40pin connector.
      One thing you could do is open your laptop and count the pins
      I hope this helps you and good luck!

    Would you say the newer screen is easier to view at different angles or about the same as the original? These HP screens throw me off when you are not looking at it exactly perpendicular

      Hello!! Thanks for watching and commenting. Sadly, I don't think it makes it easier to view at different angles.

      Hi, I am going to try and respond to all your questions and comments here:
      1. Yes, you install Linux on this machine.
      2. Have you tried plugging the laptop into a monitor to verify if the screen is broken or not?
      3. Since you state that the power button doesn't turn the machine on any longer. Do you have the laptop plugged in? If it is plugged in and it still doesn't turn on, then it may need to get a surface charge before it will turn on. So just allow the machine to charge over night. Then plug a monitor in it and turn on the laptop.

    How long does the laptop lasts? 50Wh is quite a lot but some people reported 4-5 hours of use

      Its really hard to say since these machines have been out for almost 10yrs now. I personally get between 2 and 2.5hrs of light use, so web browsing and office suite application use. Thanks for watching and take care!
