Recently got my kit and stage 2 tune for 2014 BMW 328d xdrive. The tune was super easy, they sent me the handheld device and was straightforward. The delete kit, if you’re doing it yourself find someone with a lift. Will be so much easier. I’m a bigger guy and the past couple days I’ve been crawling around on my back in the gravel and man does my back hurt now. Everything was pretty straight forward like the video shows. I’m not done yet but all I have left now is trimming my exhaust pipe and connecting the new pipes together. Reinstall all the shielding. I closed my trunk after disconnecting my battery. I’m hoping my back seats open up into the trunk so I can pop it open. Like a dummy I closed it with the negative battery terminal off.
Great video. Just curious what impact this change would have on the car's life? I'm dealing with some SCR/DEF issues and it gets very pricey very quickly and was considering this to get around those issues. I'd love to hear your thoughts on how any negative impacts you may have seen in cars that have used this. Also, how does it affect the sound of the vehicle? If possible, I'd like to keep the factory sound. Thanks for any help and info.
There is no negative impact on doing this to your BMW. Creating less restriction for the turbo is a huge plus. As for noise, you can add a highflow cat and resonator to make it sound just as quite as factory.
Im thinking of doing this to my 2018 328d xdrive sedan, only have one question? does the tune have to be done before the exhaust install, and if so does the tune need the exhaust to fully delete the DPF system. Great video cant wait to possibly do this to my car
If you fit the DPF-delete pipe on the stock ECU, the car will throw various P codes that your tuner will use to complete the software delete. Or if they've done a ton of these before, they will already know what to do and can do the mapping first. Sometimes it takes a few iterations.
Best is to do both at the same time. But if anything, you can do the tune before the physical delete. But you can have a different tune on a fully stock car with some power increases, but not as much as a full delete and tune.
@@T3PerformanceCanada how long can someone run the delete tune before doing the physical delete? I'm in a bit of a financial crunch and my car is in shut down mode right now from scr codes
Is the vehicle drivable doing all these hardware modifications before getting the tune? Trying to save labour by doing the work first then driving it to this shop for the tune
Is this installation much different than the m57 x5d? My mechanic has never done one before on my car and there are no instructions provided with the RawTek kit i purchased.
You need to delete the SCR system (ECU) from the head unit, via E-Sys, otherwise you’ll get the adblue date-gated service errors/reminders. Also, don’t bother unplugging the SCR in the trunk. Just pull the fuse. Otherwise, everything else is bang on. 👍
Is there any supporting mods needed. I’ve got a 2013 320d. Just wondering if there will be anything I need to change for example oil intake intercooler and what not
I recently traded my truck that was a project on my channel. I picked up a 2017 328D Wagon , would yall be interested in doing a collab with me on doing a delete video and the ecm removal and shipping/Tune process. I will also be completing an egr and scr delete at the same time and can make it a mullti part series. I have a full build breakdown for the future mods and videos coming this year now that Im back from deployment and active duty.
Where is the DEF tank and how much work is it to remove? Seems like carrying 16 pounds of ammonia plus the hardware for the rest of the life of the car is a waste.
Timestamps in the description to follow along!
This video is frickin awesome. So much detail. If I do something like this to my ‘14 328d I am definitely using your guide and kit. Thanks a lot!
Glad you liked it! We will be doing more very soon!
how did it go im thinking about getting one myself for my 14 328d sedan but i also heard it will tear my transfer case to peices
@@teddydasonheard the same. Wonder what supporting mods could help with this

Is this still available? Or anyone know where to get a delete kit?

I did the high flow cat and resonator and the sound is pretty much same as stock. Did it before anything broke. little bit of extra power is nice .
@@semi-chubber2388 where did you find the high flow cat and resonator? And how much?
I have all the tools and familiar with working on my cars. This looks pretty straightforward and relatively easy to do. Would you agree?
Would really like this done to my 328d xdrive sedan.
It's so worth it!
They are amazing. I just bought my second one! 2016 Silver on Red.

wow thats pretty neat
Who is here after Rawtek got busted?
do you need supporting parts like intake etc for the stage 2 tune or no?
I’m wondering too man
How did you go about connecting the coolant hoses together?
At what mileage should I do this swap the dealer just replace the egr valve and the egr cooler my car 328d does have 135k
Anytime is the best time! You won't regret it and the extra power and millage is a huge benefit.
Do you ship to Pennsylvania, US??
We sure do! Email us if you need anything :)
Is the vehicle drivable doing all these hardware modifications before getting the tune? Trying to save labour by doing the work first then driving it to this shop for the tune
We are unsure if the vehicle is drivable without tuning. We do not recommend it as it may cause damage to the vehicle.

They are quite a few differences. But we are slowly working our way through more DIY's. We just finished up Q7 3.0 TDI
@@T3PerformanceCanada Do you have the DIY for X5 (e70) m57?
What mpg increases can i expect?
I went with the high flow cat and resonator + the tunezilla stg1, installed 1 year ago, no mpg increase that I can notice.
whats the turnaround time for ecu shipping tune and return ?
1 Day turn around. We can tune the ECU same day.
@@T3PerformanceCanada so Egr DPF SCR is what I need to delete correct or is there more ?
You'll need a security T25 for the underbelly
Can you still ship to california?

We have deleted a ton of these vehicles with no issues using this method. Thanks for the comment.
I might possibly be moving to CA in the near future. Would this cause the emissions test to fail not letting me register the car there?
You would not be able to
Is there any supporting mods needed. I’ve got a 2013 320d. Just wondering if there will be anything I need to change for example oil intake intercooler and what not
No support mods are needed for this.
Is the Tunning included with the kit?
Tuning is not included with the kit

With the tune will it pass emissions?
No.

Rear left corner of the vehicle. Super easy to remove. Or, drill a hole.
the price of this kit is ridiculous dude.
Are you in jail? Lol! Seriously, is this USA legal?

Hello! It will depend on which area of Canada you are moving to. Some provinces still have emissions testing. Here in BC, we have none.
