Hello Can you tell me if the DPF is mechanically removed from the housing and the catalytic converter is left, does the ECU have to be remapped? And why? and what if it doesn't remap? Thank you
your CAT will continue to work. Depending how strict is the algorithm that the ECU is using to determine the DPF health and condition you will get a DTC sooner or later. The DPF is monitored usually by a differential pressure sensor. Those pressure values will be analysed and used to determine a soot load and ash load. No more DPF -- less pressure difference. Also in time the ECU will check the plausibility of the signal. aka if the engine is working and there is no increase in the soot build up, it will determine that something is wrong. You could, if you wanted, providing you have a decent diag tool to periodically delete the code or see if you have a function of new dpf fitted, process that would buy you some time. By remaping, the DPF monitoring is removed.

My car is slows down at the uphill on motorway only. Thinking to get this done.
first get a good diagnosis
Very informative video! Liked and subscribed🙂 Any idea what could cause a 2010 Audi A8 to smoke a lot and the DPF light to come on from time to time after a DPF delete? The two DPFs had holes made in them and the ECU was remapped.
if the remap process has been done correctly, the car will never show the DPF DTC/light ever again.
the smoke issue needs to be investigated.
maybe the car is trying to do a REGEN ;)
@@BestCarMods Makes sense. Thanks 🙂
Dpf is absolutely barrier for healthier engine part
Hi there, great video, I could be interested in join future projects, I have a Bmw F11 N57
I got marcedes Benz Vito 2015 disal I rove the dpf but still I got smoke every time I drive in town
you might want to diagnose and find out what is wrong with your engine. smoke = unhealthy engine
The main source of ash is not "byproduct of regeneration" as you say. 90% of ash accumulation in DPF is caused by byproducts of inevitable oil consumption and metallic particle deposits from wear of internal components such as piston rings. Multiple studies and academic research papers showing this if you are interested ;)
interesting observations ... "Multiple studies and academic research papers showing this if you are interested ;)" of course ... that is the type of geeky stuff that I like ... send me a message on IG or an email at the contact email for the yt channel and we can chat more :) thx
"Multiple studies and academic research papers showing this if you are interested ;)" OK I'm interested, any clue of how to get a hold of these research papers or is that classified?
@@robt8042 @BestCarMods
Well ofc not all research is public, the manufacturers keep it to themselves a lot. However the source of my information is from the publicly available research papers that are easily accessible via just googling something along the lines of "source of ash in DPF research" and you will get plenty research thrown at you from various institutes.
My favorite is this one, on page 10 you have a nice breakdown of sources - www.osti.gov/servlets/purl/1651327
Complete bollocks. The soot particles are captured in the filter and oxidized during the regeneration process. Ash, which is the incombustible material left behind following the regeneration process and gradually builds up over long periods of time.
@@One_over_the_eight Did you even read what I wrote or you just here to hate?
Great explanation. Thanks
Can I buy a software from you online?
i don't do software ... i just presented how it is done
Hi I am interested to do this dpf
We don't do this service.
Perfect explanation!
I really would like to work with u
If you can help me with my x5
And I will pay you sir
Just don't know how I can keep in touch with you!?

old vid but new thought . the EPA requires a dpf on diesel trucks to 'save" the environment.. SO what about trains??? they are diesel powered too. any new diesel locomotive should have these on too.. If they can slide on it. they we should be able to do that also.. just a thought
look at Marine applications just for info ...
Do you believe or suggest Dpf Cleaning solvents or Cleaners??Do they work or cheating??I heard something to rinse it in to the Fuel tank and works fine (as the seller said!)!!
I read about those type of products. apparently they increase the temp in your exhaust facilitating DPF regen. if it is from a reputable seller they should be ok
5 litre WYNNS dpf cleaner, works wonders...
Hi, do you have a tutorial on how to delete dpf from a 2012 hyundai grand starex cvx?
DPF makes no sense, guys are still cleaning it and dumping the sooth and ash down the drain anyway. Manufactures should make a cheap replaceable filter which could be properly disposed off.
Just got my stage 2 done, better performance and fuel economy. Its a no brainer.
Hello
Can you tell me if the DPF is mechanically removed from the housing and the catalytic converter is left, does the ECU have to be remapped? And why? and what if it doesn't remap?
Thank you
your CAT will continue to work.
Thank you very much for the explanation, it's a little clearer to me now

@@BestCarModsPeugeot 207 I just removed DPF broke inside of it and install it again
No dashboard light for 2 week . Do I need to get software computer DPF in ECU if runs like I mention.....it's expensive to go to computer shop they charge arm and the leg ...but let me now if I can damage my engine if I'm not doing this then it's mandatory yesss Just let me now
Thnx in Advance
No light on no issue nothing at all
@@arbenbytyqi9732 it will not damage your engine . only thing is that soon it will trigger an warning on the dash ... maybe get a diag tool and periodically reset the codes
In the UK using a car on the road with the DPF removed is illegal and even if it does get through an MOT your insurance is invalid. If you crash, and the bill is going to be hefty (your fault or not), the loss adjuster is going straight to your car and looking for any undeclared modifications and they are well onto the DPF/EGR gut/blank game.
very plausible.
And then do the police get informed? You get done for no insurance, lose your house, turn into an alcoholic, write the comment you just did, and then kill yourself?
No one asked bro...
If you crash a car the last thing they look at is your DPF they do a a very basic exterior examination of the car and engine they don’t get computers out and plug them in 😂
I hate that thing so much. It's giving us an unnecessary headaches.
Bro I see you come out with drill and hammer I thought you were physically gonna show us how to remove it
:) you have the overview ... drilling and hammering is easy
It has to be replaced on the vehicle for the coñtrole technique or whatever you call it in your country, !
Officially you are not allowed to use a vehicle without the DPF on public roads.
Yes, 0:54 “limp mode” is definitely a reduction in performance😂 like most of the guys that do this to their dodge Rams know which they drive to compensate
do they have diesel dodge rams ?? that is the poor man's car in America
@@BestCarModsno my fellow EU bro, all US big trucks are diesel, starting from 70+k $
And egr removal.. never again problems with egr sensor, egr valve, egr cooler.. never again. + better performance and economy !
Main problem with dpfs is that many people including mechanics.and even dealers don't understand why they stop re genning and that its usually a seemingly unrelated issue causing it.Its possible to have a car with a dpf that does 200k.plus with zero issue's if it's well maintained and driven regularly on decent trips.Diesels were better before dpfs but theres alot to consider before ripping them out
Hi BestCarMods. Please I need assistance to deleting my DPF in my Opel Astra. I’m in Ghana. Please if you have an email address I can write to for further information. Thank you
I don not do the DPF deletes
Please is there anyway I could be assisted with the deletion? I’m ready to pay for the services that will be rendered if you refer me to someone. My DPF light flashes and my fuel consumption has skyrocketed
Anyone have experience with 2016 Range Rover sport ?

@@meksudmehdi5257 I am not familiar with those brands ... ideally you will be using the same tool that is used to remap engines ... and the remap supplier will send you the files with the DPF EGR and other things deleted as per your request. see if KEss or Ktag are able to do those cars. might be an idea to find a Remap File service company and see what tools they recommend.

Your car will fail the yearly emissions test if you did this in countries that have yearly MOT's.

If the government cares so much about the environment why dont they buy everyone a tesla.

If you want more power . Get the gas engine. I just bought a new 24 Suburban diesel. Modifications are for stupid people who have money to waste. 5000 mile oil changes and reputable fuel with Delco additives made for this vehicle will make it last.
is it that crazy 6.7 engine ?
There us a war going on between the manufacturers of cars and producers of Energy to run these cars.
There are tremendous benefits to the government if we just dump our conventional cars and just buy EVs
This will give them full control over our travel
When we travel How far from hone we travel How much this travel will cost us and much much more
So, how will they manage to control this
EVs need to be plugged in and when we plug them in data is transfered yes I know data is transfered even when we do not plug in
I could write a book
So please do some research
My GOD help us all

It’s illegal and it’s immoral. I’m not clear why anyone goes beyond that point…
Don’t drive a car then use your feet. You can’t dip your toes in the water…
By that logic I must assume you're driving a tesla because its still immoral to drive a car that burns fuels to run right?
