    The author does like to from scratch, ruclips.net/user/postUgkxbnOKZBE4evMO5V2vroHeCjq6d_MV6wJO shaping and trimming wood from large blocks into fine finished products. As another reviewer mentioned, most projects require a lot of high-dollar equipment that most of us don’t have the room or budget for. But, knowing how to do these things, even if we won’t be able to practise the full stack project, is still great.

    Thank you for this short and concise guide. I've watched so many video guides on this but I always get intimidated by the amount of work required. Thanks for making it look simple!

Sad part, yours never popped up in the search when I looked for board and batten videos, so Im VERY glad I did see your video through your tools reviews. Much love ❤️

      Looks like finger-jointed pine, with a coat of white primer. The ones used here have nominal dimensions of 1"x4" (actual is 0.75" x 3.5"). These are perfect for this job because pine is cheap easy for straight cuts, and is sturdier than MDF and can withstand nicks and dings better. Also pine smells kinda nice when cutting whereas MDF smells kind of chemical-y and is not probably not healthy in large amount.

    What can you do if they aren't sitting flush against the wall ? Is it maybe because I drilled in a screw at top and bottom instead of nail gun?

    Looks amazing! Question: are your walls smooth or textured?

    • @Anikasdiylife
      @Anikasdiylife  4 года назад

      The walls are smooth. If you have textured walls, I suggest installing a backer board first to get the smooth finish.
