I have done a few of these. I really think that when I use Manufactured board, that it is so light that you should only use your nail gun because the glue will tear off your sheet rock if you ever change your mind, costing you potential thousands. The MDF board is only about a dollar a foot at Home Depot and its already white. But I hate taping and prepping so I just paint things in my garage first. Then I am only painting a few touch ups. For a chic, I did this by myself and loved it.
Do you have a list of products you bought and from where? In terms of the wood panels, size you bought, mount method (liquid nails) or glue type, etc. Love the wall want to pretty much follow the same
Why wouldn’t anyone judge ? You did a great job and the whole purpose of “DIY’s”is to find cheaper ways to get projects done all while keeping it tidy
