I think the button on the outside door handle only locks the car. The doors automatically unlocks once you grab the handle as long as the key fob is near it.
is it true or not that unlike the gasoline version 2014-2015 civic which has cvt the ngv cng natural gas version civic has a classic standard automatic transmission not cvt. can you please confirm it ??

Cheap, easily damaged interior trim parts, lots of creaks and rattles. The Civic used to be an extremely reliable, fun to drive car that did not cost an arm & a leg. Now we get this...
If Honda would just make a standard radio that had a volume knob, that alone would increase their Civic sales by 5%. So many people talk about how they like the car but then they talk about the radio and say "Don't like the radio, no way to control the volume." I like the blue color, like the headlights/bumper on the sedan, like the interior layout, and like the 39mpg it gets on the highway. The CVT? oh well, its okay i guess. No volume on the radio? Well at least it's not like the Mazda3's horrible FM radio reception they have on their radios. I would buy one in blue, to me the civic sedan is one of the best small cars right now, and is not 'UGLY' like the Civic coupe's front end is (my God, Honda really messed up the front of the Civic Coupe, they must have been on drugs when they re-designed that thing.)
I have a 2012 lx 4 door that is one of the first ones to roll off the line (meaning I've had it since June of 2011). I have 47600 miles on it. I guess it's gotten me from point A to B just fine. However, if I were to buy a new vehicle in this same class today, I probably wouldn't look too hard at a civic. There are better cars in the class imho. I drove a 2014 corolla as a rental a couple weeks ago. I liked it better than my civic. Not saying I'd get a corolla (although possible), just saying I'd look around a lot before making my decision.
Less hard plastic, new entertainment system, better suspension tune, more technology I notice all this since he had a 2012 civic ex which is the same one as the one you have, now he just got a 2015 civic ex and it's nice!

This is "GOOD READ". I come to complain on Honda out here cause their customer service is gettin sassy! I bought 2 generation 8 Civic (06 & 09) Coupes with extended warranties. The Cruise button failed on both around 50K. Called Honda and do nodda foe me. My extended warranty went out 1-2 years ago. They fixed the engine that leaked coolant @65K great under a recall good for 10 years. I call Honda U.S.A. about the visor falling apart and they fixed that @local dealer. Great experince on the engine fail and the visor. I hear a rumble under the hood on the '08 with only 55k miles and thought it was the engine recall. Had to pay $125.00 dinero to hear it was the engine mount and not covered but would cost out of pocket @ $600.00. Shoulda checked the mounts myself. So the wheel covers on both cars have peeling paint and all this stuff. I call Honda USA to complain and they will do nothing and I am p!$$3d..... 57k is too soon for a motor mount, and cruise buttons to fail. I am pretty good at accepting stuff but, the rep @ Honda USA was getting sassy, dissing me and repeating stuff I already stated, and getting to my goat real good so, I say I am comin out here @ RUclips. The only real good place to complain cause people actually see it. I wanna try a Toyota next time becasue of this stuff. And you know the Dealer always asks for high marks on surveys about the Car and dealers ETC. Well, this is it for me on both the gen 8 cars and I am out here on it all right now! 57k miles is too soon for the motor mount and cruise button to fail and I am dissed and p!$$3d now. I looked before to know the cruise button is an issue out here. So, Honda owners and wanna be owners look out for the stuff like that. Honda needs to improve. The button on the outside is for locking the car. Not unlocking. The car will unlock when you touch the the handle. That is how my EX-L Accord works.
