I’m stunned by this!!! This is what bashing really means! Seems super fun, I really enjoyed the video! I have a granite too and I wanted to ask if you recommend staying on stock diffs material or maybe better to improve them to the metal arrma ones? Anyway thanks for uploading this amazing video, blessings 😊
I really appreciate it!! Yes metal diffs may last longer especially on 4s. 3s they should be okay as long as you're slipper has a tad of slip to it. I've always ran stock diffs on these but with a steel spur and been okay. Imo the spur is the biggest problem so steel solves that!
Hey i know this is old but still classic, have you got a link to that fan mount? Looks like you mounted a 40mm fan on a 36mm motor?? Usually you'd need 40mm mount how did you hook that up? Thanks
I just got one recently, and first thing I noticed is the shock towers seem to break easily from hard impacts to the towers, mainly the rear one. I'm planning to put one of those GPM aluminum shock tower braces on it right away, should keep the top of the towers breaking. Also maybe something to protect the back of the body. Everything else seems to be really solid though.
Geeze, 4s on the Granite is insane. I don't even understand why you would run this short of a truck on 4s for any other reason than standing backflips. The Big Rock I understand, that truck takes 4s real nice, but I think Imma see how my own Granite does on 3s. See if an 18t pinion is enough to get the extra kick I'm looking for. Really fun video though. Keep it up!
I have a question if you have the time, I wanted to upgrade to 4s on my Granite the thing is I can get 6s motors for about $50 + shipping, I have'nt run across any deals like that on 4s. I have a NIB BLX 185 that Horizon Hobby sent me when my fan quit under warranty on my Mojave ESC score! So if I use the M2C motor plate and brace, upgrade the gears and axles would that workout with 4s and I could change tires and use 6s lipo for speed runs? And maybe some added weight to the front end? Yes I'm fully aware that it is extreme over but that's what makes this appealing.
Took my granite out for the first time in like a year last week, and what a blast this little truck is! I always get people complementing how tough and fast it is for a 3s. Yea I've chewed 2 spur gears now and I've got te stock mount plate, so I'm guessing it's not as straight as it once was haha. Can't afford the $70 m2c plate+brace, so I'm going with the hot racing one for now to see how it does. Also the stock motor plates are out of stock everywhere! guess we know the number 1 weak point on these trucks. For the money though, man its so much fun!
Hey bro try the Hot Racing SATF257 57t Mod 0.8 Steel Spur Gear. I have them on my Bigrock and Granite on 4s and haven't chewed up a spur in over a year since I installed them

A stock V3 Granite will do tricks for sure! This one is modified quite a bit and on 4s. M2C makes some nice upgrades and also 17mm hex adapters to run any wheel with a 17mm hex! You can gear up a few teeth from the stock pinion and turn up the ESC punch. That will liven it up a bit! It is a fin little truck!
