If you want all the Smart Tech, then yes, the Vorteks is your ride, but today I ordered the Granite on the strength of value for money as I just want to go out there with my mates with a solid all round proven and complete basher.
One other small difference is the vorteks comes stock with an 18T pinion while the Granite uses a 15T. And that should make the vorteks faster on a smooth surface with plenty of space to get up to 55mph (or 60 with the optional 20T). Off road, the lower ground clearance (and increased resistance from the grass) slows the vorteks down. Quite a nice option is to put those bigger wheels on the vorteks.

I have four 3s vorteks 4x4 blx and three 6x ebx arrma I love them all. Being a truggy man the talion is my favorite and from my experience the vorteks is more fun. AVC is nice for the kids but I prefer to drive myself but with the dx5pro the AVC becomes your friend having more control and adjustments.
Im getting either a team associated rival mt10 or the granite 3 for my Christmas present. So i have a tough choice. But i think im going with the associated rival. But these r both great trucks. Great review by the way. 🙏🤜🤛🤘🤘

You may or may not remember me from the arrma granite servo upgrade video you put out a few months ago. You recommended the servo to me so I bought it. It came in today. Could you walk me through the whole shave down the servo saver part. How much do I need to shave off. Which hole should I use.
I remember you dude! All you have to do is use a file of some sort and shave down the steering arm past that first hole, since for the Granite you want to use the bottom one. Hope this helped! 👍
I was watching your bandit video and I had the same problem with the pin falling out and I fixed it by holding the bolt with pliers on the inside part of the wheel and then turning the bolt as you are holding it on the other side

Which one would you suggest for a 8 year old boy that's had very little experience with r/c cars. I want to get him something that can do wheelies and easier to control and can take a beating.
Well, in my opinion, the Mega versions of these cars are better for kids starting out in RC. So I recommend the Granite Mega, it goes around 30mph, takes a beating, and is only around $230. Hope this helped, and take care! 🤘

The price went up to $369 on almost every big hobby shop website (Hobbytown, Horizon, Amain, Ebay). Only amazon had them or has limited quantities at the $319 price point but once they're gone thats it...369 haha
