Just to set your mind at rest, the "Main Quests 5/8" was a Challenge objective, not how far you are through the full game. Just like the combat ones where it's "Kill 5 Spiders" then "Kill 10 Spiders" etc etc. So three more main quests to reach that milestone, then the game will set a new one for you and you get the reward for completing 8. In terms of time, the story is 25-40 hours but if you want to complete everything you're looking closer to 100. In terms of progress through the game I'd say you were around a third of the way through as the story speeds up some once you don't have things like classes and basic collection quests slowing down progress. It's a little bit of a game design flaw that Merlin Trials allow you to activate them when you don't have the spell to work them. I get they want it to be a puzzle but spending 5-10mins messing around with something you're literally hard-locked from completing isn't a good user experience and they could have just given a prompt saying "you are not ready for this trial yet" or something. I totally get your frustration and it's good that you're aware of it and able to channel it into kicking the crap out of some poachers instead. XD Ghosts Of Our Love, without giving tooooo much away, you have a bridge, a gate to a forest, and the buildings in the background aren't a ghost shack, it's actually Hogsmeade. Now that you're used to flying places it's harder to remember, but you went this way the first time you went to Hogsmeade with Natsai... Moonstone is only as valuable as you make it, since it's the resource for decorating the Room of Requirement. If all you want to do is make tables for potions and plants you don't need to focus on gathering it. If you want to go down the route of making the room into a personal space with chairs, tables, statues etc etc then you need a fair bit. Also a minor point but there is quite a noticeable desynch in your camera audio and the game footage in this episode that's a bit distracting. Still amazing content though and stoked you're enjoying it as much as you are! Really good job with the puzzles in the witch's tomb - you breezed through them! :D
Tip for the Merlin‘s trials: first activate them and then do Revelio and look 360 degrees around also above you, sometimes you also have to go a distance to find all the things you have to interact with, use Revelio as you go to find everything. As soon as you know where everything is, think what the objective could be. Sometimes you have to destroy every stone that belongs to the trial, sometimes you have to lighten a fire in a short amount of time. After a few different trials the objectives repeat and you know what to do. Then the hardest thing is finding the objects to use, which you simply use Revelio as always. Sometimes it also helps to do it from the broom to get and overview.
Oak! You may have gotten rid of the exclamation points but you didn’t actually claim the rewards in the challenges section!! Go there and click all the red icons. Oak don’t panic about the limited number of main quests on your quest list. This is just the main quests in this section. After you complete those you get more.
Oak! I love watching you play but your'e killing me here! PICK UP YOUR ANCIENT MAGIC! (Not yelling, just emphasizing). These are the BLUE GLOWING OBJECTS popping out of the enemies and landing on the ground during battles. You don't actively have to pick them up, just get near them, they zip over to you. THey are only around for a few moments. THEY FUEL YOUR ANCIENT MAGIC. That blue level indicator lets you know how many attack combos you are making, during your battles. Every 10x an ancient magic pops out of the enemy and lands next to it. "Ancient Magic Bolts" you can throw in battles to kill more enemies quicker - especially difficult enemies. You use the blue level above the green health level to see how much ancient magic you have to make those big casts. :)
Oak I swear, there is money eeeeverywhere! Loot and sell your gear, and open every gold revelio bag/chest/whatever….and that money will stack up! You’re doing great! I am living for these vids!
Yes! Finally someone said this at the time of posting 😂 I was just baffled that he was running out of money all the time, while I at this point of the game had like 10k
Oak you have to follow the flying keys not catch them. My tip is to cast revelio to find the glowing cabinets and then look around for the keys. Also, if you hover over hamlets/hogwarts/hogsmeade in map view, you'll see how many demiguise statues, collection chests and field guide pages you'll find.
My best advice regarding the Room of Requirements is you can conjur multiple pots in each of the sizes in both plants and potions by using moonstones not coins. I recommend having at least one dedicated to each plant/potion and then just at the beginning and end of each time you play go and plant your stuff and then pick up stuff you planted previously. That way you will most always have the stuff you need for quest and such.
Anyone else laugh when oak find what he needs before he needs it, then forgets all about it. 😂😂 the moths in the tomb. 🤔🤫don’t remind him about the picture frames scattered around.🤫🤫
Not sure if anyone has mentioned this yet, but the Merlin trial you couldn't do was simply due to the fact you don't have the correct spell yet. My sister (who is a gamer) got stuck on this one as well. They really should have some way to tell you that you can't do it before you waste time/mallowsweet on it XD
Its not just the trials is easy to spend a lot of time trying to figure out something you haven't progressed far enough to unlock. Especially rare things like the two fire places you can interact with.
The Follow the Butterflies is an Easter egg joke on what Ron Weasley said in The Chamber of Secrets movie when Harry and Ron had to go follow the spiders into the Forbidden Forest. Ron said, "...Why can't it be follow the butterflies?!" 🦋🎞😉👍❣️
Hey just started the video but is it just me or the cam and the game are a bit out of sinc? for example I can hear oak read a quest when in the screen he has not selected that quest yet. It's not I big deal btw just to let you know.

Without spoilers the candles ONLY appear at night near where the letter was found. It was supposed to go along with the Jackdaw main quest since every house has the map appear wherever they got their quest to go meet him in the forrest. Oak you need to redeem your rewards. 2 Merlin rewards were still red and unclaimed which is why your inventory hasn't increased. You just hovered over them to get the "!" to go away. Glad you got the unlocking charm. You can use the map, zoomed out, to see what towns/locations have the statues needed to advance the lock level you can unlock.
Okok, so conjure several pots in your Room of Requirement and plant different plants and then you can just leave them there. Every time you visit the room, there will be just new loot ready for harvest and you'll have plenty for your potions and so on.
I have played around 100 hours of this game, and I just finished the main storyline. And you are not even near the end, so don't worry about that 😊 I would recommend just taking a day, or something, and just exploring Hogsmead and Hogwarts. To find chests and field guide pages, and stuff (especially now that you have alohomora, and need to find demiguise statues). I spent the first 5 ish hours of my game, doing that (and unlocking floo flames). And I got thousands of galleons (coins), doing that. And remember to claim the stuff in your challenges! The unclaimed ones are red, they turn blue when you claim them. (You are btw not supposed to catch the dedalian keys, you are supposed to follow them to the cabinet they belong to) 😉
It's just slightly north of Hogwarts on the world map if you have trouble finding it, and make sure to go at night (or advance time to night when you get there)
Spread out your potting stations and potion brewing stations throughout the RoR. I usually have my potions stations in room 1 and all plants in room 2. You can conjure up to 7 potting stations and 7 brewing stations in the RoR, you are not limited to growing one thing at a time.
Does anyone else struggle to watch the entire video before posting? I just want to give advice as he goes! At least now he's met beasts and can use alohomora, which I believe are the prerequisites for what I've been excited to see his reaction on!
**Edit: The Gladwin Moon quest teaches you Alohamora for picking locks. There are way more than just 8 main quests! That's just the current achievement you're working on. 8 main quests will be a milestone, and then you'll receive more.
The game like the books covers an entire school year. You’re only starting autumn, you’ve still got winter and spring to go through. That was my meter for judging progression- summer vacation is still a long away
In the room of requirement, just conjure a bunch of potting tables so you always the plants you need growing & you won’t have to empty the pot every time you want to make something else.
Dittany, mallowsweet, mandrakes, and knotgrass are grown in small pots. Shrivelfigs and cabbages are grown in medium pots. Fluxweed and venomous tentaculas are grown in large pots. If you get Two-Large Pots, you can grow all plants in the large pots. If you get the composter, it creates fertilizer and you can add it to growing plants and it will give you one more when you harvest. This will help shorten grow times for cabbages, mandrakes, and tentaculas.
Tentaculas shoot 5 attacks at foes, even if they are up high on perch or riser. Cabbages will only work on land and roll to opponents and chew them up. Mandrakes scream an ear piercing cry that make your opponents cringe and when you’re very powerful it will kill them. Plants are very, very helpful. Cabbages are my favorite because I can take down trolls and dugbogs with cabbages!
Anyone else super cautious when doing sneaky quests (like disillusionment for the demiguise moons) and then get anxious watching Oak just walk quickly around everywhere and not get caught 😅.
The only real use for moonstone is to conjure in the room of requirement, in saying that you can conjure multiple large potting tables for all of your plants. I recommencd setting up with a few more and at the beginning of each episode harvest everything.
❗️➡️❗️Oak, you CAN add Multiple potting tables in your Room of Requirement. You do NOT have to remove any plants. Just add more potting tables. Your Room of Requirement is your greenhouse and potions room all in one. You are supposed to have many tables in there. It's required of you to do so. The Mallowsweet go into small pots but the Venamous Tentacula go into large ones. I suggest you plant several Mallowsweet plants and several Ditiny plants since you will use them the most. So add more small potting tables, more medium potting tables and more large potting tables. It's OK. You can do that. 🪴🪴🪴👌👍 If you don't have the composting item you can buy fertilizer from both the Magic Meep and Dogweed and Deathcap vendors at Hogsmeade. Remember, ADD MORE POTTING TABLES into your Room of Requirement. Your life and game play will be so much easier and happy when you do it. I promise. Trust me. LOL! 🪴🪴🪴⚗️⚗️⚗️🧪🧪🧪💩💩💩👍
There is many more main quests, it's just countdown until next reward for comleting X amount of quests. You are approximately one quarter of the game in. No worries, plenty of playing before you still :))
The treasure map was one i had to look up my first time too. Step one, got Forbidden forest floo flame. Step two, find the love letter on the stone bridge (You found this in an earlier episode so this is already done. Step three, go to the other side of the bridge you found the note on (it's a stone bridge. Step four through six, use lumos, walk back across the bridge. If done tight some floating candles will appear follow the candles to the treasure.
Tip - the Merlin trial with symbols on the Pillars needs a specific spell you don't have yet. You have the quest for the spell already, you just need to complete it to get the spell. ---> SPOILER: the spell you need is Flipendo
I tip, even in game to the musicians in all the little villages. The second broom upgrade will be 4K and the third will be 7.5K! You need to start raiding all of the treasure vaults/caves. The caves contain clothing mostly and some have puzzles.
Another great playthrough, Oak! A far as the ghost of our love quest goes, go to the north entrance of hogwarts then head towards the Forbidden Forest from there (you can track it). Light your wand and once you reach the bridge right before the forest entrance candles will spawn and lead you through the forest to the treasure
Pro tip: when you complete Merlin Trials, they won’t glow anymore on the swirl. Following the butterflies, use revelio to make the treasure chest appear. You’re not using revelio enough.
TIP - Instead of destroying your plants to empty a pot, please For the Love of Hogwarts, just build a new potting table and let your plants continue to grow. That way, when you need a plant it's already there growing just waiting to be harvested.
Not sure if by now a lot of people have told you already, but you should just conjure several potion stations and potting tables to have several things going at the same time. It shows in the menu how many of each you can have. Oh and please try to catch all the anchient magic balls dropping from enemies in time to replentish your meter, that way combat should get ten times easier.
Conjure more potion/potting tables!!! You can have multiples once you bought the spellcraft for them. And also - moonstone is just for conjuring items in the room of requirement. So you dont need to get all of those while out in the wild 😄
Moonstone is really only used to conjure things in your Room of Requirement, but it is helpful to have a lot in case you like conjuring stuff to decorate or improve your room and the vivariums and stuff.
There are many more main quests! Hehe you only saw the challenge update so that you cam claim awards, but no worries there are still a ton of them!! I'm really happy that you picked up main quests like I requested in the last video, because you are leveling so fast :)! But I also like the roaming around the world and side quests. Tips: 1. There was one Merlin trial that you couldn't finish up yet, because you missed the aquired spell. So you will come back to that one. 2. Ghost of our love. There are a few of these quests in the game, the point is to find the location that is drawn on the map. If I remember correctly this one, you will be looking for a bridge with candles. I don't know exactly where it is, but it's a bridge near the forbidden forest, I think you already passed by it once or twice, but the candles that float there need to be followed. Do this at night and use Lumos 3. More kudos then a tip! I was super excited how you figured out all the moth puzzles and the lockpicking on your own😊. It really shows how much you have grown in the game same can be said about your combat
You gotta figure out some spell combination too. Eg. You want accio with incendio because its a short range attack. Glacius and diffindo is a great combo for dealing massive damage.
Honestly, same feelings about the poachers. Sometimes I just wipe out poacher camps and rescue beasts 🐾. The Poppy and Deek quest lines are awesome, you’ll see!
So much fun to watch! That moth puzzle was pretty tricky Your excitement at seeing the Hippogriff was great and Poppy's quests are really good Regarding the Merlin trial with the blocks over each other - I don't know how to do that one yet either :(
Oak needed a spell he didn't have yet. He hadn't gotten around to do the assignment yet to get that spell. It's still a tricky Merlin Trial to do. But once you understand it then it becomes far easier to do each time you do it. It takes a lot of mental visualization.
Don’t worry Oak - you got WAY MORE than 8 quests to go. That 5/8 was just part of the collections, kind of like a checkpoint, once you get 8 completed, you’ll earn something in the collections. Way more than 3 more episodes coming from you :) Proud of you FINALLY getting your fast dodge! Also, don’t discount stealth! Remember you can sneak up on big groups and take them out quietly. BTW I clocked 65-70 hours when I fully finished the game!
hey Oak, loved this episode as always! Just some things that havent been mentioned a lot. First of all in the challenges menu: everyone of those icons that are orange, are ones you have unlocked but not collected. So for example all your increased gear capacity that was unlocked with the merlin trails you havent collected. Second: You have a lot of main quests to go, the 5/8 you mentioned were just the main quest you needed for the next challenge, not in total. Im not sure but guessing by how much of the story you still have to go through, i'd say your not yet half way but maybe not too far off. Also some people have said this but not a lot, the audio and game footage were not in sync, so you reacted to things we only saw a few seconds later in the game footage lol. Everything else is already mentioned in the comments so I won't repeat those tips. Can't wait to see you do more of Poppy's story, which is now starting. There's a lot to come involving beast! You can add more than one potting table!! You could probably add five of the same potting tables. Same thing for potions! This is driving me crazy. You spent $1000 on a table on only put one in the Room of Requirement. 🤯

If you use Focus Potions, you’ll temporarily eliminate spell cooldowns which will help keep your confringo spell charged while battling Inferi. Using your potions helps battling immensely! You need to build up your potions to make it easier on yourself. Thunderbrew will bring a thunderstorm and strike foes with lightning. Using Edurus will give you a temporary rocky shell. Maxima will supercharge spell casting. Invisibility potion is self explanatory.
If you by night, before entering the forbidden forest there are floating candes, use lumos and they show you the way... the funny thing is, you were already at that place. Good luck. Also collecting your rewards, please go on them all since sometimes you dont check them all and you do not collect your rewards. Some merlin trials you cannot do yet since you need the spell flipendo. Your main quests Re not those you hace now in your list... once you do them means you go to main miss 2 out of 4 and you get New ones once they are donde, relax, you are by far not donde yet with main quesos ♡♡♡ Go back to 3 broomsticks and do revelioooooo at the chimney, you literally did revelio and did not see the pageee to collect. The flying pages also collect them. Love seeing you play!! Love from Spain!!!
🗝❗️ Oak! You are NOT supposed to catch the flying Dadelian Keys. You're supposed to follow them like you do with the butterflies. The flying keys takes you to a cabinet where you have to smack the key into the keyhole. You've done it before. LOL! 😊👍🗝
NB. 1. Oak, when you meet anything that seems unsolvable, it may be a hint that you've a yet to be assigned that quest, or yet to learn that skill. Kindly move on, in the meantime, and come back to it later. 2. When you see the butterflies, cast Revelio. 2. Carefully read the details of the quest in the quest log. You are told the reward at the end of the quest. You bypassed Alohomora-reward quest, many times. 😀 Keep it up!
The love map with the candles, start at the forbidden forest. There is a bridge near by, use Lumos at the bridge. Candles will appear and lead the way.
Ghost of our love side quest: one of the things on the treasure map you should have recognized is the arch thing that is the entrance of the forbidden forest. So use your floo flame to the entrance
oak you can make more than one of each table they just cost moonstone your collecting that way you can get multiple plants and potions in the same amount of time it helps the wait alot
In the other room you have most people put up about 8 small planters, a large plant table and I myself have the three pot potions station. You would really like a hopping pot (about three of them).
My advice when dealing with enemy camps that are battling creatures that are trying to kill them like the troll that was trying to kill the Ashwinders; Let the troll do all the work for you by letting the troll finishing them off. Then you will have only the troll left to deal with. Just turn invisible and hide behind a tree or bush and let the troll do the work for you. When I come across something like that and when there is nothing but a troll left then I use my attack plants to help me finish off the troll. 👹🪴👍 Also, I suggest you make a bunch of Wiggenweld potions in your Room of Requirement before you go on any quests. Your main quests especially will be getting more and more challenging as you level up. BTW, whenever an Ashwinder or goblin drops a bag that has a green light coming out of it, it's Wiggenweld potions. Gold light means they have money but the green lights means they have Wiggenweld. Grab them if you need them. 🧪👍 Also, THANK YOU for showing that hiding under the bridge helps you get your health up. I haven't seen that one before. GOOD TO KNOW. LOL! 😉😄👍
I think the complete signs on bandit camps means that you found the Collection chest in that camp. The Collection chest is not a normal chest (with gear or coins) but a chest where you get things for your collections (such as things for the room of requirement). I think there is one in every camp. :) Other places like treasure vaults and merlin trials will just disappear from the map when you have completed them! Thank you for the episode!
I would love to see all of you guys do (God of War 2018) and (God of War Ragnarok) alone sometime. Seperate playthroughs would be so cool and interesting to see the differences in reactions. You could make little highlight combo reels after all you finish too lol and then after those.. then do a group playthrough for the previous God of War games. That would work lovely.
Hi Oak. You've seen the floating candle map site before. Focus on the center of the map and remember your first trip to Hogsmeade, the place is on the road. For Merlin's test that you couldn't do, you need a spell that you haven't unlocked. Regarding the poachers, I have cursed them much worse than you in Spanish, it is normal to hate them xD. Sweetie, you haven't claimed the exploration challenges rewards, which is why they are glowing all the time. The main missions are not over yet, the notice was only about the challenge, don't worry, there is still a lot of game left to enjoy.
I attempted to do the final part of the main quest a while ago but realized I was way too low level and unprepared to finish so I have been doing a bunch of side quests and exploration collecting missions. There's some hidden side quest that will show up if you zoom in on the map and led to some really cool adventures
Merlin trial with the dice with symbols on them: you will need Flippendo or Depulso and you need more than one angle to act on them 😉 I hope that’s a sufficient tip without giving too much away. The platform you unlocked is a landing platform for you and your broom!
Oak, don't worry, you've got plenty of main-adjacent quests left. Your friends all have quest lines that tie in to the story (especially Sebastian's) so you could and should treat those like part of the main quest.
Moonstone is for making things in the room of requirement. If your not gonna do much with the room you won’t need as much. Things like decorating the room.
Oak as far as crafting time for potions and plants. If there were no grow time on plants, you could grow an unlimited amount of the combat plants making combat pointless. And also you could grow the potions ingredients endlessly because there are no seeds as consumable item. And finally with an unlimited number of potion ingredients and no brew time you have bottomless health or combat potions
When you walked to the first treasure vault you walked down to the swirling pool and just turned around. There was more there. They disappear off the map when completed. Alot of this game is more puzzles. You really need to observe the areas and symbols especially matching them up.
Oak, you are not almost done with the main quests! You are done with 5 of 8 in this challenge set. So when you get to 8, you'll collect a reward in your challenge menu, and it'll give you a new challenge to complete the next set of main quests. You are maybe 30% of the way through the main quest line.

If your still looking for bigger potion brew and herbolgoy potting stations you can find them at times and scrolls in hogsmeade
You've only completed 1 of the MSQ trials so far so I think you are maybe 1/4 or 1/3 of the way through Main story.
You can build more then one planting stations and potion stations to get multiple things going at once. Build 3 large planting stations and 3 potions

Every 10x an ancient magic pops out of the enemy and lands next to it. "Ancient Magic Bolts" you can throw in battles to kill more enemies quicker - especially difficult enemies. You use the blue level above the green health level to see how much ancient magic you have to make those big casts. :)

Oak you have to follow the flying keys not catch them. My tip is to cast revelio to find the glowing cabinets and then look around for the keys. Also, if you hover over hamlets/hogwarts/hogsmeade in map view, you'll see how many demiguise statues, collection chests and field guide pages you'll find.
My best advice regarding the Room of Requirements is you can conjur multiple pots in each of the sizes in both plants and potions by using moonstones not coins. I recommend having at least one dedicated to each plant/potion and then just at the beginning and end of each time you play go and plant your stuff and then pick up stuff you planted previously. That way you will most always have the stuff you need for quest and such.
Multiple potion stations would help too. He goes through so many wiggenweld potions, he needs a row of them ready to go.
Just get large pots. You can use them for every type of plant.
Anyone else laugh when oak find what he needs before he needs it, then forgets all about it. 😂😂 the moths in the tomb. 🤔🤫don’t remind him about the picture frames scattered around.🤫🤫

Not sure if anyone has mentioned this yet, but the Merlin trial you couldn't do was simply due to the fact you don't have the correct spell yet. My sister (who is a gamer) got stuck on this one as well. They really should have some way to tell you that you can't do it before you waste time/mallowsweet on it XD
Its not just the trials is easy to spend a lot of time trying to figure out something you haven't progressed far enough to unlock. Especially rare things like the two fire places you can interact with.
You don't waste your mallowsweet. Once activated it is activated until you complete it.
The Follow the Butterflies is an Easter egg joke on what Ron Weasley said in The Chamber of Secrets movie when Harry and Ron had to go follow the spiders into the Forbidden Forest. Ron said, "...Why can't it be follow the butterflies?!"

Without spoilers the candles ONLY appear at night near where the letter was found. It was supposed to go along with the Jackdaw main quest since every house has the map appear wherever they got their quest to go meet him in the forrest.
Oak you need to redeem your rewards. 2 Merlin rewards were still red and unclaimed which is why your inventory hasn't increased. You just hovered over them to get the "!" to go away.
Glad you got the unlocking charm. You can use the map, zoomed out, to see what towns/locations have the statues needed to advance the lock level you can unlock.

Okok, so conjure several pots in your Room of Requirement and plant different plants and then you can just leave them there. Every time you visit the room, there will be just new loot ready for harvest and you'll have plenty for your potions and so on.
Oak finally gets a large potting table...and puts in mallowseet..🤣
I have played around 100 hours of this game, and I just finished the main storyline. And you are not even near the end, so don't worry about that 😊
I would recommend just taking a day, or something, and just exploring Hogsmead and Hogwarts. To find chests and field guide pages, and stuff (especially now that you have alohomora, and need to find demiguise statues). I spent the first 5 ish hours of my game, doing that (and unlocking floo flames). And I got thousands of galleons (coins), doing that.
And remember to claim the stuff in your challenges! The unclaimed ones are red, they turn blue when you claim them.
(You are btw not supposed to catch the dedalian keys, you are supposed to follow them to the cabinet they belong to) 😉
I'm impressed I'm over two hundred hours playtime and still haven't gotten past winter. So much time wandering around looking at things.
For Ghost of our love, go to the bridge near the Forbidden Forest entrance (there's a floo flame at the location), and use lumos near the bridge.
It's just slightly north of Hogwarts on the world map if you have trouble finding it, and make sure to go at night (or advance time to night when you get there)

If you use a talent point on confringo, it will make confringo hit extra targets helping you in battle to hit multiple targets at once.
Hit the inferius with a fire spell first. When they are burning you can do any spell you like
Spread out your potting stations and potion brewing stations throughout the RoR. I usually have my potions stations in room 1 and all plants in room 2. You can conjure up to 7 potting stations and 7 brewing stations in the RoR, you are not limited to growing one thing at a time.
Does anyone else struggle to watch the entire video before posting? I just want to give advice as he goes! At least now he's met beasts and can use alohomora, which I believe are the prerequisites for what I've been excited to see his reaction on!
**Edit: The Gladwin Moon quest teaches you Alohamora for picking locks.
There are way more than just 8 main quests! That's just the current achievement you're working on. 8 main quests will be a milestone, and then you'll receive more.

In the room of requirement, just conjure a bunch of potting tables so you always the plants you need growing & you won’t have to empty the pot every time you want to make something else.
He was told this last episode too, but I think he missed it. He might think you can only have one table?

Dittany, mallowsweet, mandrakes, and knotgrass are grown in small pots. Shrivelfigs and cabbages are grown in medium pots. Fluxweed and venomous tentaculas are grown in large pots. If you get Two-Large Pots, you can grow all plants in the large pots. If you get the composter, it creates fertilizer and you can add it to growing plants and it will give you one more when you harvest. This will help shorten grow times for cabbages, mandrakes, and tentaculas.
Tentaculas shoot 5 attacks at foes, even if they are up high on perch or riser. Cabbages will only work on land and roll to opponents and chew them up. Mandrakes scream an ear piercing cry that make your opponents cringe and when you’re very powerful it will kill them. Plants are very, very helpful. Cabbages are my favorite because I can take down trolls and dugbogs with cabbages!

Anyone else super cautious when doing sneaky quests (like disillusionment for the demiguise moons) and then get anxious watching Oak just walk quickly around everywhere and not get caught 😅.

The only real use for moonstone is to conjure in the room of requirement, in saying that you can conjure multiple large potting tables for all of your plants. I recommencd setting up with a few more and at the beginning of each episode harvest everything.
❗️➡️❗️Oak, you CAN add Multiple potting tables in your Room of Requirement. You do NOT have to remove any plants. Just add more potting tables. Your Room of Requirement is your greenhouse and potions room all in one. You are supposed to have many tables in there. It's required of you to do so. The Mallowsweet go into small pots but the Venamous Tentacula go into large ones. I suggest you plant several Mallowsweet plants and several Ditiny plants since you will use them the most. So add more small potting tables, more medium potting tables and more large potting tables. It's OK. You can do that.

If you don't have the composting item you can buy fertilizer from both the Magic Meep and Dogweed and Deathcap vendors at Hogsmeade.
Remember, ADD MORE POTTING TABLES into your Room of Requirement. Your life and game play will be so much easier and happy when you do it. I promise. Trust me. LOL!

I'm seeing a real learning curve here and it delights me.
The treasure map was one i had to look up my first time too.
Step one, got Forbidden forest floo flame.
Step two, find the love letter on the stone bridge (You found this in an earlier episode so this is already done.
Step three, go to the other side of the bridge you found the note on (it's a stone bridge.
Step four through six, use lumos, walk back across the bridge. If done tight some floating candles will appear follow the candles to the treasure.
Tip - the Merlin trial with symbols on the Pillars needs a specific spell you don't have yet. You have the quest for the spell already, you just need to complete it to get the spell. ---> SPOILER: the spell you need is Flipendo

You and me both! Detroit with the full gang is great, but Hogwarts Legacy with Oak is just too cozy.
I tip, even in game to the musicians in all the little villages. The second broom upgrade will be 4K and the third will be 7.5K! You need to start raiding all of the treasure vaults/caves. The caves contain clothing mostly and some have puzzles.
Another great playthrough, Oak! A far as the ghost of our love quest goes, go to the north entrance of hogwarts then head towards the Forbidden Forest from there (you can track it). Light your wand and once you reach the bridge right before the forest entrance candles will spawn and lead you through the forest to the treasure
Pro tip: when you complete Merlin Trials, they won’t glow anymore on the swirl. Following the butterflies, use revelio to make the treasure chest appear. You’re not using revelio enough.
TIP - Instead of destroying your plants to empty a pot, please For the Love of Hogwarts, just build a new potting table and let your plants continue to grow. That way, when you need a plant it's already there growing just waiting to be harvested.
Don’t worry Oak u are still along way from finishing the game. Don’t go by how many main mission it tells you. Hope that helps.
Not sure if by now a lot of people have told you already, but you should just conjure several potion stations and potting tables to have several things going at the same time. It shows in the menu how many of each you can have. Oh and please try to catch all the anchient magic balls dropping from enemies in time to replentish your meter, that way combat should get ten times easier.
Conjure more potion/potting tables!!! You can have multiples once you bought the spellcraft for them.
And also - moonstone is just for conjuring items in the room of requirement. So you dont need to get all of those while out in the wild 😄
With that merlin trial I'm fairly sure you can't do it yet as you need Flippendo to complete it. You'll get the spell as you progress.
Moonstone is really only used to conjure things in your Room of Requirement, but it is helpful to have a lot in case you like conjuring stuff to decorate or improve your room and the vivariums and stuff.
There are many more main quests! Hehe you only saw the challenge update so that you cam claim awards, but no worries there are still a ton of them!!
I'm really happy that you picked up main quests like I requested in the last video, because you are leveling so fast :)! But I also like the roaming around the world and side quests.
Tips:
1. There was one Merlin trial that you couldn't finish up yet, because you missed the aquired spell. So you will come back to that one.
2. Ghost of our love. There are a few of these quests in the game, the point is to find the location that is drawn on the map. If I remember correctly this one, you will be looking for a bridge with candles. I don't know exactly where it is, but it's a bridge near the forbidden forest, I think you already passed by it once or twice, but the candles that float there need to be followed. Do this at night and use Lumos
3. More kudos then a tip! I was super excited how you figured out all the moth puzzles and the lockpicking on your own😊.
It really shows how much you have grown in the game same can be said about your combat
You gotta figure out some spell combination too. Eg. You want accio with incendio because its a short range attack. Glacius and diffindo is a great combo for dealing massive damage.
Honestly, same feelings about the poachers. Sometimes I just wipe out poacher camps and rescue beasts 🐾.
The Poppy and Deek quest lines are awesome, you’ll see!

Oak needed a spell he didn't have yet. He hadn't gotten around to do the assignment yet to get that spell.
It's still a tricky Merlin Trial to do. But once you understand it then it becomes far easier to do each time you do it. It takes a lot of mental visualization.

Don’t worry Oak - you got WAY MORE than 8 quests to go. That 5/8 was just part of the collections, kind of like a checkpoint, once you get 8 completed, you’ll earn something in the collections. Way more than 3 more episodes coming from you :)
Proud of you FINALLY getting your fast dodge! Also, don’t discount stealth! Remember you can sneak up on big groups and take them out quietly.
BTW I clocked 65-70 hours when I fully finished the game!
hey Oak, loved this episode as always! Just some things that havent been mentioned a lot. First of all in the challenges menu: everyone of those icons that are orange, are ones you have unlocked but not collected. So for example all your increased gear capacity that was unlocked with the merlin trails you havent collected. Second: You have a lot of main quests to go, the 5/8 you mentioned were just the main quest you needed for the next challenge, not in total. Im not sure but guessing by how much of the story you still have to go through, i'd say your not yet half way but maybe not too far off. Also some people have said this but not a lot, the audio and game footage were not in sync, so you reacted to things we only saw a few seconds later in the game footage lol. Everything else is already mentioned in the comments so I won't repeat those tips. Can't wait to see you do more of Poppy's story, which is now starting. There's a lot to come involving beast! Thx so much again for this great playtrough

You can add more than one potting table!! You could probably add five of the same potting tables. Same thing for potions! This is driving me crazy. You spent $1000 on a table on only put one in the Room of Requirement. 🤯
On the Merlin Trials with ones you have to light on fire, be sure to start with the tallest one first.

If you use Focus Potions, you’ll temporarily eliminate spell cooldowns which will help keep your confringo spell charged while battling Inferi. Using your potions helps battling immensely! You need to build up your potions to make it easier on yourself. Thunderbrew will bring a thunderstorm and strike foes with lightning. Using Edurus will give you a temporary rocky shell. Maxima will supercharge spell casting. Invisibility potion is self explanatory.
If you by night, before entering the forbidden forest there are floating candes, use lumos and they show you the way... the funny thing is, you were already at that place. Good luck.
Also collecting your rewards, please go on them all since sometimes you dont check them all and you do not collect your rewards.
Some merlin trials you cannot do yet since you need the spell flipendo.
Your main quests Re not those you hace now in your list... once you do them means you go to main miss 2 out of 4 and you get New ones once they are donde, relax, you are by far not donde yet with main quesos ♡♡♡
Go back to 3 broomsticks and do revelioooooo at the chimney, you literally did revelio and did not see the pageee to collect. The flying pages also collect them.

Ghost of our love side quest: one of the things on the treasure map you should have recognized is the arch thing that is the entrance of the forbidden forest. So use your floo flame to the entrance

oak you can make more than one of each table they just cost moonstone your collecting that way you can get multiple plants and potions in the same amount of time it helps the wait alot

In the other room you have most people put up about 8 small planters, a large plant table and I myself have the three pot potions station. You would really like a hopping pot (about three of them).
My rule for tipping, taught to me by my dad, is: if they bring the product or service to you- I’ll tip but if not (like Starbucks )I normally don’t.

My advice when dealing with enemy camps that are battling creatures that are trying to kill them like the troll that was trying to kill the Ashwinders;
Let the troll do all the work for you by letting the troll finishing them off. Then you will have only the troll left to deal with. Just turn invisible and hide behind a tree or bush and let the troll do the work for you. When I come across something like that and when there is nothing but a troll left then I use my attack plants to help me finish off the troll.

Also, I suggest you make a bunch of Wiggenweld potions in your Room of Requirement before you go on any quests. Your main quests especially will be getting more and more challenging as you level up. BTW, whenever an Ashwinder or goblin drops a bag that has a green light coming out of it, it's Wiggenweld potions. Gold light means they have money but the green lights means they have Wiggenweld. Grab them if you need them.

I think the complete signs on bandit camps means that you found the Collection chest in that camp. The Collection chest is not a normal chest (with gear or coins) but a chest where you get things for your collections (such as things for the room of requirement). I think there is one in every camp. :)
Other places like treasure vaults and merlin trials will just disappear from the map when you have completed them!

Hi Oak. You've seen the floating candle map site before. Focus on the center of the map and remember your first trip to Hogsmeade, the place is on the road. For Merlin's test that you couldn't do, you need a spell that you haven't unlocked.
Regarding the poachers, I have cursed them much worse than you in Spanish, it is normal to hate them xD.
Sweetie, you haven't claimed the exploration challenges rewards, which is why they are glowing all the time.
The main missions are not over yet, the notice was only about the challenge, don't worry, there is still a lot of game left to enjoy.

I attempted to do the final part of the main quest a while ago but realized I was way too low level and unprepared to finish so I have been doing a bunch of side quests and exploration collecting missions. There's some hidden side quest that will show up if you zoom in on the map and led to some really cool adventures
Merlin trial with the dice with symbols on them: you will need Flippendo or Depulso and you need more than one angle to act on them 😉 I hope that’s a sufficient tip without giving too much away.
The platform you unlocked is a landing platform for you and your broom!
Oak, don't worry, you've got plenty of main-adjacent quests left. Your friends all have quest lines that tie in to the story (especially Sebastian's) so you could and should treat those like part of the main quest.
Moonstone is for making things in the room of requirement. If your not gonna do much with the room you won’t need as much. Things like decorating the room.
Oak as far as crafting time for potions and plants. If there were no grow time on plants, you could grow an unlimited amount of the combat plants making combat pointless. And also you could grow the potions ingredients endlessly because there are no seeds as consumable item. And finally with an unlimited number of potion ingredients and no brew time you have bottomless health or combat potions
When you walked to the first treasure vault you walked down to the swirling pool and just turned around. There was more there. They disappear off the map when completed. Alot of this game is more puzzles. You really need to observe the areas and symbols especially matching them up.
Oak, you are not almost done with the main quests! You are done with 5 of 8 in this challenge set. So when you get to 8, you'll collect a reward in your challenge menu, and it'll give you a new challenge to complete the next set of main quests. You are maybe 30% of the way through the main quest line.
