Great advice Alicia. Another great way to keep your inbox organized is to move the emails "awaiting a response " to an 'Action - Awaiting Others' folder, I've added a Quick Step to move them out of the inbox and added that folder to my Favorites. I would love to hear more tips on keeping other people's inboxes organized (i.e Executives).
That's a great suggestion about the "done" folder, I'll start using that. In my inbox, I've got loads of colour codes for different things and I flag things as reminders or make them tasks 😁
Hi Alicia. You gave great advice. I always prioritize emails from my two executives no matter what. The rest follows. Also, I have a block on my calendar on when I will be setting appointments. Your advice on how to manage inbox are so on point. I'll remember and apply them on my job.
Great video, and thank you for these tips! I adopted a very similar strategy when managing my own inboxes, I do also use red stars to mark very urgent or important external emails and green stars for all emails I have replied to and I am awaiting response. Do you have any tips on managing an Executive's inbox too? I find that a lot trickier due to very high volumes of emails and not always knowing what's relevant for the Execs!
Great video! Thank you. I never even thought of the done folder (much better than deleting emails incase you may need them again). Going to start doing the same myself😀Thanks again!
This is so helpful! Quick question: what happens if someone responds to an email/thread later on that has already been placed in the 'done' or other folder? Thanks!!
This is a wonderful email system for an admin who’s not incredibly busy. Just managing this level of sub folders, dragging around so many emails is very time consuming. Very busy Admins, who are struggling to stay afloat, simply will not have enough time in a day to manage at this micro level. This young woman doesn’t have a very responsible or busy EA position. Those of us who have been doing this for decades know that you just can manage it all in your inbox as it’s easily searchable. Don’t get me wrong, it would be wonderful to have all these folders and sub folders for this type of supreme organization but it’s not at all realistic for a very busy admin working at a fast pace. She’s still quite junior, trying to function in an idealized environment, which is not at all reality, particularly for those of us working at C- level. I did find it quite humorous advice however 😉
Who else keeps stopping this video to take notes?❤️

Super useful! I would love a video on how you manage your “Sent” folder

Hi Alicia, I really enjoy your videos. I also would like to ask if you are going to start posting on your hypnosis channel again?

It's a shame you're so out of touch. I look forward to seeing your content with your amazing advice. You sound like an absolute professional.
How do you know to put something in it’s designated folder vs done?
If you were to have a new client. What set of questions you would ask before you decide to work with them?
Thank you!
Thanks for the suggestions. Why not use Archive for Done items? Why not use the inboxes search feature to find emails?
