Jayden is going to shine and be amazing in his own right. Commanders with new owners, coaches, players and attitude have worked hard to revamp thenselves and done a excellent job. They are setting themselves up to be a force to be reckoned with.
Right & that's because the perception in the media is that Caleb Williams is in a different stratosphere from Jayden Daniels. He's going to have to disprove that narrative
100% accurate take. They never talk about the commanders. All my boys are falcons fans and the media machine is starting to do the same thing with them.
I’m not sure all of that is absolute … everyone roots for the underdog too … and clearly the expectations are much higher for Chicago, compared to expectations for Washington. So, if Daniels balls out, and Washington winds up with a winning record and a possible wild card spot, Daniels could receive more credit for Washington’s unexpected success, compared to Williams getting credit for Chicago’s expected success. Then we have the situation where Chicago may be in the tougher spot within their own Division, because they’ve got an established Lion’s team, and a young, formidable Packer’s team to compete against, even though Washington’s schedule is tougher. I think Chicago is still the 3rd best team in their Division until they prove they can beat the Lions and Packers. And the pressure is all on Chicago. I’m guessing both Washington and Chicago are going to end up with similar win-loss records, somewhere between the 9-8 and 11-5 area. Washington is going to have a better shot inside the NFC East, because the Cowboys are in disarray and will not be repeating their 12-5 record they’ve had over the last couple of seasons. I honestly think Washington and Philly with be battling it out for the Division title.
LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Man, if I havent seen about oh 500 of these comments from washington commander fans EACH YEAR AT THIS EXACT TIME for the past 20 years.................. I know, you dont have to tell me, this year is different for x, y and z reasons. Yes, I know. I heard THAT too for the past 20 years.
The most recent memory I have where the league try’s to screw us was the giants commanders game from several years ago. The Terry offsides call and then the DB draped all over Samuel’s for the 2pt try. I’m 35 and can recall a bunch of memories. Another was doctsons rookie year with Alex smith. We played the Houston Texans, not the one where Alex blew his leg or might have been. We were 6-2 driving for a game winning field goal, and doctson gets tackled before the ball arrives, clear as day no call we lose because we couldn’t reach field goal range. List goes on
I think the conversation will be a bit different. There skill sets are very different. If you start seeing Jayden dissecting defensives and just acting with precision and you have Caleb doing the off script stuff, it will be on somewhat of a parallel. Especially if Washington Beats Chicago when they face off during the season.
Interesting. Good takes, I think. And I agree. This Cat could be something special. But I think we all need to be careful on 2 levels. First, we haven't even hardly seen anything yet. I mean, yeah. He looks awesome. The coaches seem to love the kid. Etc. He appears to also have the talent, which is a great starting point. But we need to see a LOT more. And second - O-Line. Wow. I still think this O-Line is going to be bad. How bad? Not sure yet. And I also still think Peters will get us a Cap-Cut or two on the Line. We need it. If they can get the line straight... yeah. This Kid could do some things!
Eh, per capita maybe. But not from revenue, team value or exposure aspect. Several teams behind the Bears make more money are valued higher. Always had a soft spot for Chi Town though no question. Like DC they are football. There from the beginning. Happy for you guys. Been a minute. Maybe someone will throw for 4000 yrds for the first time
Believe it or not Washington was consistently a top 5 most valuable NFL franchise for a loooong time. We recently fell off the list about 5 years ago. We were a top 3 overall sports franchise for a long time too falling behind only the Yankees and Cowboys... dont sleep on DC
@@MartinMcfly410 Lol, I feel that, But I'm not talking about Nfl Franchises, I'm talking about large markets, in the U.S. in terms of culture, transport, commerce, finance, etc👍
Williams has way better help. Their defense is good. The only good wideout Jayden has is Terry. Jahan isn't good, and they need to move on from him. One player who the Commanders have. That can really help Jayden. Is Ben Sinnott. He will surprise Commanders fans. He doesn't have savy moves. But he can catch and usually is hard to tackle.
My man Julian, you know I rock with your show, but I have to wholeheartedly disagree and I’ll explain. Chicago not only has more pressure with expectations to be great, but they also play in a FAR harder division than Washington. So Caleb has a harder road to succeed and is EXPECTED to succeed so if they finish 7 to 8 wins that would be found as a disappointment. Washington you already said, Cowboys going to take a step back, Philly they are adjusting both coordinators and if you noticed, Skins Could have beat Philly twice but fell short cause of mid ass coach extraordinaire Ron Rivera. Giants doesn’t even deserves mention. So Washington not only has a better road to the division, they also have a better road to having a better record. Caleb as good as he is and I think he can be, I can’t see them doing better than MAYBE splitting with Detroit and Green Bay. I hear what you’re saying, Media wants Caleb to win it. I talked to you about it before media LOVEs to hate my skins. But I’m telling you, Jayden has a easier road to succeed and win Rookie of the Year, no homerism or bias, just look at the obstacles Chicago has in that North, and the hype is a heavy crown.
Haha well I appreciate your support! I don’t think we’re saying different things though. I just think from a media narrative perspective the hype behind Caleb is just insanely high.
they do NOT play in a "FAR HARDER DIVISION" . FARRRRRRR harder? The vikings season just ended 2 days ago. The rest are two playoff teams and washington's division also boasts two playoff teams. How is one FARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR harder than the other? there is no metric to prove that.
minnesota's season just tanked a couple of days ago. so chicago has only 2 teams to contend with, same as washington. chicago also has a MUCH better surrounding cast. washington is weak on the oline, chicago is better there. washington's receivers as a unit is much weaker than chicagos. washington's pass rush is potentially weaker than chicago's. washington's outside corners are H-O-R-R-I-B-L-E and the bears are good. washington also doesnt even have a legit kicker.
@@SillyGoose2024all good thoughts but Lions> Eagles, Packers>Dallas and Minnesota>>>Giants. The Commanders may have the worst Oline in the NFL and beyond Terry there isn't many weapons for the defense to concentrate on. I do believe that Jayden will have the better fantasy season because he's going to be running for his life, but he will be judged on team success. Secondly, Caleb Williams is probably better from a decision making standpoint which is what will matter in the long run, while Jayden first needs to avoid ending up like RG3.
This is a bit of a lazy take bro... anytime anyone references RGIII and Daniels in the same breath, in any context, i know they not really paying attention.. First, yes, Washington's OLine is not strong, but definitely not the worst in the league. The interior of the line is very good... the tackles will be a concern for sure. All in all, not close to worst. Second, as for weapons, Washington's TE room is very good with Ertz and the TE they took out of K State... their running backs are also very good with Ekeler and Robinson.. WR room will be by committee, which is fine, and hopefully Dotson, their 1st rd pick in '22 emerges.
I know it could be lazy to compare Daniels to RGIII who happened to play for the same team, but I also compare Anthony Richardson and Hendon Hooker to RGIII. RGIII is a QB who played like he was a full back and had a very short career as a result. Any QB who enters the league without regard to avoiding contact is a concussion waiting to happen. I don't hate the guys on the team but unless the Oline can actually buy time and open holes then the only real threat is Terry and Jayden's legs. If a DC can shut those down then the rest won't be enough, is all I'm saying. I like Ertz in a vacuum and the rookie will probably be a force in year 3 like most badass TE's. It looks like Dotson isn't even going to be able to maintain WR2. If the Oline was better then I might see it different, but opinions vary.
