    He did, Julian. He really did. I was shocked, bro. I've been a skeptic of Darnold for a while, but he balled in Week 1. Great performance !

      Yep me too. Maybe I’ll eat my words come kid season on Sam Darnold.
      The media NEEDS and MUST make these segments with more film to show people, but hey I’ve been told that this is still ex players making excuses and their expert analysis doesn’t matter haha

    Yeah, I don't believe that the Giants are the worst team that the Vikings have played in the last 5 years, (Carolina in 23)but it is their largest margin of victory since week 15 of 2019

    I’m a Vikings fan so maybe a little bias, but all along I was on the darnold train if he just got a chance with a great offensive minded coach. KOC loves darnold just like he loved cousins because they are accurate, with plenty of arm talent. As long as they understand the playbook and don’t try to do too much they can be top 10-15 qb’s in this league. Not surprised at all by the week 1 performance. Hes supported, and that’s the biggest thing. Carolina and New York would’ve failed most qb’s. Vikings are wildly underrated this year. Now with the packers down love for 4-6 weeks, I could see the Vikings being the 2nd best team in the division the way the defense also looked under Flores.

    NFC title game appearance at a minimum. Defense gonna be top 5. Darnold/Jones/Jefferson is an impressive trio regardless if Hock or Addison is out.

    Okaaaaaay. Sameeee. I had the exact same thoughts.
    First thing Monday morning…I could not wait to hear the takes on the Vikings. And if this game was talked about at all, it was all about how Giants didn’t do well & a lot of narratives about Daniel Jones.
    This was the only video I found too.
    I was like “whaaaaat?” I’m not surprised the Vikes weren’t talked about in a sense cause I’m used to it but also was expecting a bit more for such a great win like this due to all the anticipation of how Sam D would do especially with the whole JJ situation.

    Vikings fans will find out as the season unfolds just what we have with Darnold. There will be highs and lows, just enjoy the good games as they come and don't get too down when they lose, it's just a game.

      Can’t be much more up and down than last year with dobbs hall and mullens. And they still won 7 games last year. This should at least feel quite a bit smoother even if the record is only 9-8 or worse.

    Giants has a legit front 7. There defensive front is one of the better fronts in the league.

      Their DL is legit and our 2 tackles absolutely stone walled their 2 edge rushers and took them out of the game. Dexter got his, but they had him targeting Ingram and bradbury all day. I wouldnt be shocked if the 49ers have bosa run some inside stunts to try and challenge those 2 as they had their hands full with Dexter. Sam also getting the ball out on time was absolutely huge. He helped our OL by getting the ball out quick and decisively

    I am happy for Darnold. Been watching football for 50 years and have seen teams/coaching ruin many QB's. Leave it to Kyle Shanahan to restore him. His dad is still my favorite coach of all time for me. I love what the Shanahan's have done for football.

  • @tim4cn759
    @tim4cn759 5 дней назад

    I said this Team was going to be good but NOBODY believed me... the defense and offensive scheme gives him confidence and his speed and elusiveness is superior 😤.. the 49rs are going to try to make the game a black and blue game and I think the vikings can match their physicality.. their 3rd and 4th receivers are as good as some 2s the offense is stacked... and then the defense is unpredictable and physical and smart and fast....

    As a lifelong vikings fan I'm not getting my hopes up.darnold had a good first game. He's got plenty more where he could be the player he's always been and tank.

    • @theycallmeshim6723
      @theycallmeshim6723 5 дней назад +1

      You’re missing the point of what the majority of this video is about…darnold history of poor play has literally never been his fault, he’s been put in unwinnable situations his entire nfl career…I am also a lifelong Vikings fan myself, so I understand the skepticism, but we aren’t talking about a Kirk cousins who was drafted late and had to prove everything, darnold was drafted 3 overall for a reason, and now he’s showing it…be positive, but also be realistic

    • @user-oq7mg5bx6k
      @user-oq7mg5bx6k 5 дней назад

      He's the one throwing the freaking ball,so it's his fault. If coverage or protection fails on a play you don't just randomly toss the ball in the air,you throw it so far out of bounds it goes into the crowd and move to the next play.darnold just tosses it and hopes for the best

    • @theycallmeshim6723
      @theycallmeshim6723 5 дней назад +1

      @@user-oq7mg5bx6k you don’t know what he was coached to do in those situations so again you can’t put all the blame on him. You can’t blame the guy for trying to make plays for his team while constantly running for his life and having no talent to throw to. So once again, what I’m saying is Sam is human, he’s not had proper development in the league since arriving in the league…he’s quickly showing what he’s capable of with proper coaching and team building and I’m not just talking about week 1 with the Vikings, the dude was electric last year with the niners with very limited snaps but very similar situation. Be optimistically realistic

  • @bgzwlz5119
    @bgzwlz5119 5 дней назад

    It has nothing to do with being cool enough, it has to do with having a reality check. The Vikings dismantled a bottom 3 team that has virtually NO offense after Barclay left. So you don’t get bonus points for beating the Giants! Also, Darnold’s 1st half performance was impressive going 13-14 for 151 yards, however he wasn’t able to maintain his consistency going 6-10 for only 57 yards in the 2nd half which is not good! If you told someone that the QB finished 19-24 for 208 yards, but didn’t say the score, nobody would think that the performance was good. The truth is that the Viking will be the underdogs in 5 of the next 6 weeks and if Love makes it back for week#4 then it could be 6 out 6 as the underdogs. If they beat the 49ers in week #2 then people can start talking.

    • @ahastar1141
      @ahastar1141 5 дней назад

      Thats true, but teams absolutely can look bad against bad teams in week 1. The giants are not a good team, but you want your squad if they are decent to definitively take care of those bad teams and over the last several seasons the vikings have not. Its not over a good team, but its still a good win for a team with a bunch of new starters and guys playing together for the first time. Not their toughest test, but they looked how you would want a decent team to look against a bad team, strong in all phases. The big stories here are that darnold played well and looked decent in the offense for the first time, Vikings pass rush looked good, jones looked good, and our tackles were able to completely eliminate two solid pass rushers and take them out of the game.

    • @BillyJack85
      @BillyJack85 5 дней назад

      The Vikings always get dogged out, it doesn't matter what we're looking like or who we beat, we're rarely ever given any credit. After we beat the 49ers people will still be doubting us ahd finding excuses.
