I agree. Maybe it's because I'm a nerd also but I wish they would do a lot more of this kind of stuff. Maybe if it's too long, do it as a RUclips release. It would be nice to understand the game more even if the camera angles don't always show everything going on

Call me crazy, but I think we have Pat McAffee and his team to thank for an absolute jump in quality in those breakdown videos and how they get presented. He was one of the first a couple of years ago with a mantra: "Tell it how it is, make it accessible and fun to watch." Networks picked up on how popular this style got. Win Win..
Two things: One I love this type of analysis and teaching of the game! Two: looking at Dan go through this seeing how long his arms are and how big his hands you are quickly reminded that he was an NFL quarterback regardless of his achievements but he played NFL and has a NFL frame … respect
There is also “ no sound” or “on the center” which is usually the moment the QB touches the Center. There are even “secret” snap signals between just the QB and Center. The pre-snap routines are a fascinating game of chess that often go unnoticed.
This is so cool. Even for a computer nerd Im not athletic so I never got to play football so it's super cool to hear what theses guys do and why they do it.
I think if you’re really into football, you like segments like this one!! Very good and informative..obviously most ppl understand cadences..but the reason why, along with a in depth analysis is good tv
This is dope! Idk if Dan asked the network to make this segment or they asked him, but this is good content. I thought the QB Documentary would go over this kind of information but glad DanO is.
Thanks for sharing. This is giving the audience a chance to love your content because they understand it. Such a contrast from the normal drivel that is served up.
Herm said, "We start with the huddle" I worked with a great HS football coach and the first two days of practice were QB running the huddle. Communication. No plays! No running! No catching! just getting the huddle and comms set.
Now THIS is good TV.
Really? I was kinda hoping ESPN would update us on the color of socks Taylor Swift is wearing. 😢

This is what analysis and pundits should be doing more, great stuff, thanks Dan, great job.
The issue is, analysts and pundits never played! They can’t explain what Dan can as a former player
@@jwill294 that's the point..why are they even there? What do they bring to the table?
Dan completely sucked in the NFL. Any player who ever played knows what Dan knows, they need to get a player with a bit of credentials.
@@MisterMxyzptlk1972 you know its like unicorn rare to get to the nfl? The guy beat crazy odds to get there and you are trolling him? Wild.

We need DAN to breakdown the whole playbook 😂😂😂like this so we can keep this segment instead of debates all day
and hopefully he can do it wearing adult clothes!!!
@@ankhscrackpipeemeritus2092 His clothes look fine. Suits are for lawyers and funeral homes.
Where in the playbook did Dan learn to run out the back of the end zone?
Dan please do this all year.
fumble!!! picked up by herm edwards for a td!
@@dodu8281DAN WITH THE SAFETY
Dan put on a CLINIC on cadence and broke it down splendidly. Tip of the cap Orlovsky. We'll done. 👏
I learned absolutely nothing from this
Yeah he use to play American football 😂
You can see Orlovsky truly loves his craft, he relishes these moments to make an expressive display of his devotion to the gridiron.
so true. he practiced running out the back of the endzone many times
Blown away by this. Give us more of this content. Dan just knocked it out the park with this.
Dan needs his own show
Agreed
Nah Factz he really do!
Dan is easily one of the most cringe hosts on espn lol
This is actually pretty cool
Now this is good content. Shoutout to the producer who is risking not having a debate segment.
This is a reminder that Dan Orlovsky is closer to Tom Brady than you will ever be.
Reaaaadddaaaayyyyyyyy
His meat is firmly placed in your jaws bro 😂
He was an NFL quarterback. That means he is in the top .0001% of athletes in history.
wow this was so sweet! love getting more insight into WHY QB is the hardest position in American sports 🙌🏾
What do you mean American sports?

I love this segment
I love when Dan breaks things down like this so us normal people can understand. More segments like this please!!!
Dan delivering the best opinion piece in NFL history at 08:19.
Finally! Real football talk. Great segment
More segments like this, detailed analysis of what is happening on-field.
Y'all at NFL @ ESPN *need* more segments like this. Real football learning. Also, Herm Edwards was fantastic
this is way better than any opinion pieces we get every day
Don't usually watch these type of shows anymore but Dan did this masterfully. Great insight and definitely need more of this!

Request for DO making a tutorial video of how to keep running through your own end zone after a safety has already been called
More of this please ESPN! Love Dan’s coaching!
More teaching and less gossip/speculation.... thank you 👍
I don't follow football at all but I watched this start to finish. Really top tier content.
Can we get the whole of the series of segments on RUclips? Gold!
I want them to implement this into madden some day
Nah too much work. Now if you’re talking about a limited edition Dan in ultimate team for sure.
About time ESPN! good content! a nice in depth from somebody that did it.
I love the breakdown by Dan .
These type of shows need to top first take. Educating the casual fan is way better than narrative debate shows!
This just made me respect Troy Polamalu even more 😳 iykyk
Troy was just channeling whatever messages God was putting in his head.

wow, i actually learned something about football and ive been watching this game since 84...
We need way more of this- soooo good!
I could watch this type of NFL content ALL DAY EVERY DAY
This segment was awesome
Would love to hear him break down the complexity of what the big white line on the back of the end zone means

Now this is great analysis by Dan. So much a QB has to do. Learn the playbook, know the O-Line scheme, and cadence.
I love this so much. The complexity it out of this world. Idk how I would be able to know all this
This is great stuff, loved every second of it
Dan was fantastic! Plus Herm with the Coach insights! WOW!
Dan is great with these breakdowns man🔥🔥!..(pause…if necessary lol)!..
Dan may not have been a superstar on the field, but respect him so much as an analyst.

I want to watch this all day!
There is plenty to go over indeed, so give Dan MORE TIME to explain things. Dont rush these segments for the sake of RUclips.
As a football nerd this is gold.
That was awesome. Can't wait for more.
Best ESPN segment in a while!
Great job Dan!!
I LOVE THIS…NEW TO NFL & THIS MAKES THIS SO MUCH MORE INTERESTING
