Is it worth mentioning to newbies that if the selector hubs are pushed open too far the three balls and springs will fly out to all corners of the workshop?!!

What about the oil pickup ,
Why don't they use oil lube on the sliding surfaces when rebuilding?
We do. It's also submerged in oil when in situ.
