Mike throws it back to early 2000s suicide silence. He mentioned it in an interview some time ago, super sick. Crazy dude
G59 until the grave
That G59 hat tho.
Darren Mangold one color. Two numbers.
Vile Denial three fingers in the sky amongst the thunder
Saw live 2 weeks ago.
breakdowns have been “it” for like the last 15 years, where this guy been?
hahaha man, I remember playing shows with bands back in 2005-6 and that's all that was happening. There were 2 things you could count on 1. 2 step and 2. Breakdowns.
I fuck with sanction
Slam/chug parts rather then Breakdowns, incorporated into songs make better mosh pits.

The one guitar player "Lumpy" is in this sick video called Rwanda 2. Check it.

I love breakdowns but there's more to good music than JUST badass breakdowns. If that's what constitutes a good song to you, well to each his own. But to say "mosh parts are the only thing that matters" is pretty shit
Joseph Bastidas He's clearly being facetious lmao
A breakdown isn't the only type of mosh part though. A 2 step is a mosh part. Freedom from Detroit is an excellent example of a band with great mosh parts that aren't china cymbal breakdowns. When it comes to hardcore, metalcore, deathcore, slam, etc. the mosh parts often are the most important part
Wait what? I watched this whole video thinking they meant mosh parts as fast parts, which in opposition to breakdowns. Damn
@@YoDawgoneeleven funny you mention two step cause sanction have ZERO two step parts lmao it's all beatdowns and dissonance
I mean sanction is one of the better sounding bands rn lol tightness wise
Four years ago? People have been hyping heavy shit since the 80’s dude.. not sure about the context. People have been obsessed with breakdowns for a looooong time. Why are they acting like it’s something new?
Ryan Lackey They’re talking about in the hardcore scene..
Guitar solo> breakdown
Why not both...just like Dying Fetus or some new school or old school death metal bands
They're both just absolutely fantastic when done right either way. . .
Guitar solos are the most boring fucking things to ever happen to songs.
Breakdowns and guitar solos are both boring and overused, but when some bands try something new is good
They both have their own special places lol
