StarCraft & Brood War 3 Players CO-OP: Zerg Exp 08 To Slay the Beast Made by MynameisLol Playlist: • StarCraft Intro Download Link: www.moddb.com/mods/starcraft-...
Duran's dialogues during the mission aren't AI generated, but were cut from the original campaign. I used those lines and created an event the original mission didn't have. Such a shame they were removed. They used the scientists on Tarsonis because the planet was too remote to maintain direct control over the Swarm. They have done the same on Char because the UED was losing control over the creature. But why? Is it because the Disrupter was destroyed? No, that has nothing to do with it. It is because the Overmind was growing, it was about to reach maturity and break free. That's why I said the UED had no hope to maintain their control for long. But what if the Overmind reached maturity? It would take control of Kerrigan with her broods, or maybe even recall the Swarm on Aiur to finish off the UED and any other foe stranded on Char. That is why I was saying that the Overmind was the real threat.
Zeratul: It is done, the Overmind is dead. UED Marine: Do do do, oh crap. Kerrigan: Let me handle them. (Kerrigan slay the remaining UED forces by destroying their structures). Kerrigan: Musch better, go on.
Knowing that the original idea was going to be that the UED was not going to be able to control the Overmind much longer gives DuGalle's words in the epilogue a far greater meaning, "The creatures we were sent here to tame, are untamable", it wasn't just a generic defeat speech, it was a fact, had the new Overmind reached maturity it would have broken free and likely become as deadly a threat as its predecessor.
Overmind, clearly drunk from the resurrection: I have been made whole once more. As my consciousness drifted into the Warp, I can see clearly the machinations of the Archenemy within this sector. Heed my call, my Cerebrates, and return to my side as our covenant is renewed once more. The Archenemy casts its gaze upon us on this side of the dream, and we shall let loose the fury of the Swarm that is our heritage when its servants reveal themselves. That means you, Duran.
The hardest mission in the entire BW. I like to think that the difficulty comes not only from the aggressive AI but the fact that it's an island based mission means that Overlords must be used, and even attacking the expansions with mass zerg air makes the AI send a boatload of mutas, wraiths, valkyries, devourers, and BC's, which actually complement very well: devourers slow down and splash your zerg air ball, valkyries and mutas give additional splash and bounce dmg to acid spore'd air units, and wraiths punish you if you don't bring overlords. And the queen too, casting ensnare if you want to make your life more hell. Plus the science vessel casting irradiate. On top of that, failing to mount a ground attack costs the player greatly because it would take time, and the ground is well protected as well.
lol I remember in this mission: 1. Medieval Man 2. Meld to Dark Archon 3. Use Mind Control on SCV in top from your base 4. Disable Medieval Man 5. Now you can have your own Terran/Zerg forces against the Terran/Zerg enemies
Overmind: "He he he... So many funny things happening all aro- *[Suddenly Snaps Out of It]* -Huh- Wha- What's going on?! Why are all these Terrans surrounding me!! Who- *[Sees Amass of Renegade Zerg & Protoss Again Coming Forth]* Overmind: "...I wish I was still injected with that stu-" *[Pops Like A Pimple Once More]*
This mission is what made me hate Kerrigan so much. They really just inserted "Razsagal is already infested" just to make her win at literally every single turn. It really feels Brood Wars just need to have a Mary Sue
Meanwhile, on StarCraft Alternate… With DuGalle under their custody, the Daelaam Alliance head to Aiur to destroy the Protoss Empire once and for all. As for the means to achieve that to Raszagal's confusion, Stukov's Aleksander arrives And he demands an explanation. Duran supplies it (destroy the Xel'Naga Worldship) with the promise to release the Admiral, Stukov instead considers raiding the Alliance fleet to extract DuGalle himself instead, only for the Admiral himself to convince him to go along with this plan due to the threat Tassadar's Conclave poses. Two Executors (the ones who didn't participate in the retaking of Tarkossia alongside Kerrigan) keep guard over the UED squadron that will be performing the critical step in this mission as they decimate the puppet Empire and the Primals keeping them reined in. As soon as the Worldship is sent to critical, a pair of Wraiths flanking a Dropship arrive to drop off Stukov and two UED Agents as a Shuttle drops off Duran, DuGalle, and two Crimson Talons as they watch Tassadar's Conclave go extinct. After Duran boasts about Protoss psionics trumping that of Terrans, Stukov takes away DuGalle in the Dropship and the two Agents Lockdown the Crimson Talons flanking Duran to stop them from destroying the vessel as it flees. They die by Duran's blade before they could be re-extracted but at least he's unable to take DuGalle himself for the moment as the Wraiths withdraw.
Half of the mission versus terran: "Aahhh yeeeaahh", "Aahhh, that's stuff" (or smth else I didn't clearly understand) and many death screams of terran marines.
I think you even made an edit that shows how differently that ending cutscene would've gone had Zeratul remembered he had DTs and could've yoinked Kerrigan that way. What, was her power level in backstory supposed to be greater than the archons' Mind Control?
This mission was amazing, I was sad that the Protoss player didn't get Dark Archons (But could research upgrades for it...wasted gas and minerals early on rip) But it has carriers and it felt good xD
Acid spores do slow the attack speed + reduce the armor of its victims, so that's why Devourers + any ranged units combo is very effective at destroying enemy air.

Conclusion: the Overmind is the biggest threat to everyone in this sector, even if you try to control it (yeah, nice try).
@@xzaalp its a threat until it collided with a fancy blimp
Although the UED is my favorite faction, "Evil is not a toy" is a thing for a reason, and the UED had to learn it the hard way
@@ExecutorNralNot fun for the Overmind, though
They can’t learn it.
Because there’s no one left to told.
Not count Stukov, let just think he’s dead and know nothing.
The Overmind was so angry at the UED that he even sent his drones to attack them.
I suddenly imagined the Overmind throwing a tantrum because the UED scientist tells it to stop listening to carameldansen and go to sleep
As long as the Overmind never used the last drone to make a building, it's completely fine
Pull da boiz!
Starcraft 3 writers: Somehow the Overmind returned.
Somehow, Raszagal had been corrupted by the Zerg...
Somehow the GANTRITHOR COMES!
Somehow, Foenix died and returned
@@dimas-dvdru Fenix never dead , he just sleep until some one wake him up ... he is nearly 400yo alter all
From statsmann's research, if you dig through zerg DNA, the traces of overmind can be found.
Zeratul: Look at little Overmind Jr. Gonna cry?
10:32 lol the UED marine returned to the barracks 😂😂😂
"To hell with all this shit, I'm outta here!"
Zeratul: It is done, the Overmind is dead.

I will steer the dark Templar into a collision course with the Overmind!

Zeratul steers his warp blade into a collision course with Overmind Jr.
Nice optional objective. Wish it hadn't been cut from the original.

Mentally dominated
Zerg Infestation doesn't work on Protoss but they can still be hosts to parasites
as Grant once put it, "someone at blizzard seriously had a 'scary evil woman fetish'. first starcraft broodwar, then the frozen throne"
I don't think she was infested. Kerrigan just controlled her mind.
@@darth856 Raszagal wasn't infested. She was mind controlled
Protoss can't be infested
@@darth856 Ah, true, that slipped my mind
Still, it doesn't explain how the hell Kerrigan was able to do that, it's like a very convenient plot hole
Been looking forward to this one! This level is the hardest (and longest) one for me to beat in SC1!
I always thought that it would make more sense for Kerrigan to betray everyone after this mission.

I really like the difficulty early mission. But the « mass air lads » is a bit redundant… but that’s the game
Yoink!
10:25 Imagine the plot twist: Dark archon mind controlled Keragen or who was it again? at the spot.
Not so, Duran. You surely haven't seen the UED marines having three Cerebrates for dinner in the final mission.
En Taro Nral!
Kinglich is still my favorite guy, from the CO-OP series
He's the man
@@ExecutorNral he's Raynor? Amusing.
@@ExecutorNral he is the most amusing person ever

nice gameplay bro
seems like the Overmind's PTSD is soooo bad it just loves to spam mutalisks lol
Zeratul literally had 2 Dark Archons but didn't use them to convert his matriarch back.🤡
Perhaps they will turn into a mindless husk if he does that.
12:04 Music got a good timing.
Kerrigan and the Matriarch are probably laughing themselves off when they managed to deceive Zeratul during the transmission.
10:46 AFCOURSE
Wish same letsplay for starcraft alternate
Is here secret mission with Zeratul?
yes
Did Zeratul just recalled the matriarch there LOL
Arbiter off-screen. Just like how Raynor got Mengsk out of DuGalle's clutches at Korhal.
I think you even made an edit that shows how differently that ending cutscene would've gone had Zeratul remembered he had DTs and could've yoinked Kerrigan that way. What, was her power level in backstory supposed to be greater than the archons' Mind Control?
Its just the plot armor that saves her, no other explanation required.

But it has carriers and it felt good xD
the gold zerg are too shiny for my liking
'You see, Kerrigan, you're not dealing with the average Zerg Brood any more...'
They shall be escorted to the gates of Valhalla, shiny and chrome!
If Tamatoa was infested by the Zerg.
i was wondering did acid spores also amplify damage taken despite the slow
Acid spores do slow the attack speed + reduce the armor of its victims, so that's why Devourers + any ranged units combo is very effective at destroying enemy air.
Почему тёмные архонты Зератула не переманили Разшагал обратно? Уверен, подобное им было бы по силам.
Sad the mc can't be used gg. 3 more missions to go including the bonus mission
