I booked into the sky city hotel in Blackpool for a one night stay because the hotel I booked on booking.com said I was not booked in.
so after ringing around Blackpool Hotels and b&b's, I was having no look at booking somewhere to stay the night.

So I know ADAMS ROTTEN ROOMS was staying in a hotel called SKY CITY HOTEL, so I walked into the hotel and booked a room I REGRETTED IT FROM THE START....

That mattress is grim. 🤢🤮I've seen cleaner looking mattresses outside waiting to be collected to go to the tip. The overall cleanliness of the room is non-existent. What a dive. You deserve a medal just for walking into that crap hole let alone stay in there. You're a brave man 🦁

My wife and I lived a few doors down.
It used to be called Cleopatras. The guy who ran it was a delinquent who rented it out dirt cheap to the most undesirable tenants and throughout 2020 and 2021 there were always police vans outside. It was always boarded up, leaking from the roof (I assume your room was top floor) (there's also a water tank on there but I've never seen anyone maintain it) and getting smashed to bits by the tenants.
He packed up and left in 2021 and went to a pub in Cleveleys which is now also boarded up. The chap who turned it into Sky City is a really nice bloke and was full of aspirations when he purchased it but I don't think he was prepared for just how bad it is inside. It's a shame to see it like this, I always wanted him to do okay.
Now if you want somewhere with volatile staff and rooms of similar quality you should try The Barrons across the road!! Can give you plenty of stories lol.
Dan, this is by far the worst room you have stayed in. The hotel needs closing down. It's not fit for people to stay in.
Are hotels or B&B's checked by local councils? If so, report it. It's absolutely disgusting. Glad you showed us what it's like 👍

Whoever says what you expect for £40 need their heads read. What I've seen I'd be out the door and if they asked why what's wrong, my answer would be what's right with room would be quicker

cheap or not, thats no excuse to have a place dirty and unhygienic. If a bnb or a hotel looks like a default home/bedroom, at least have it clean. Cant be that hard? Really shocking how some of these places are even allowed to run

£40 is definitely too much considering Premier Inn Blackpool North pier is only £61 and Travelodge South Shore is £42.99 for tonight (Sunday 24th March 2024.
Both of which are have higher standards and better value for money.
I thought about running to the Premier Inn
I wouldn't stay there it's dirty absolutely dirty and the mattress is a health hazard it's a health and safety hazard blood that's not been cleaned wow. This hotel needs reporting. I would of just walked out. Thank you for what you do. Its so helpful Emma x

@@ThehotelhunterukApparently the hotel was letting all sorts of people into the rooms. I worked with substance misusers for years and the pattern of the blood and where it was on the mattress tells me I'm probably right. That hotel is clearly a health hazard even without the blood. 😵💫😵💫

Those marks on the Mattress that looked like biro marks are classic signs of bed bugs which you could pick up on your sleeping bag and take home 🏡 whatever has happened to our country Dan 😭 people work hard for their wages! Stayed in a few places in blackpool (mainly Lord Street/Dickson Road) £30/£40 a night and theyre immaculate. So this for £40 a night is a joke.

The council put the homeless and drug addict in that hotel mate , reason so much blood probably from injection drugs ect ect , that's honestly the truth

You could write what's good about that place on the back of a stamp! To stop the water in the toilet, you need to lift the ballcock up to cut off the water! And that mattress just needed some chains draped over it and it would have looked like the sacrificial mattress from the Hellraiser film with all that blood.

You should call the reception and confront them with this. So if you just leave and let your money there, they get away with it and that is why they still can do this.

I stayed in Blackpool last week and paid £40 a night for a hotel on Hull road..I thought it wasn't great but at least it was clean..watching your video i was nearly crying for you..words fail me .OMG 🤬🤬

The Chorlton on Hull Road..Room was tiny, no breakfast which I already knew so wasn't bothered..I personally wouldn't return to it but after seeing your recent video I think I was staying in a palace lol 👍
Quite new to your channel really like it especially the hotels you go to in Blackpool I love Blackpool but the hotels are not great me and my husband have found a couple of hotels we like . This hotel when you first walked in it looked OK looking closer 😮it's bad that mattress 😮£40 night you would expect more anyway wanted to say hello 👋 really enjoy your vlogs and looking forward to watching more 🙂
Absolutely vile i would have got the bloke on reception to come and have a look for himself point it out to him show him the mattress upside down point out the filth to him then demand your money back and leave thats what i would have done mattress was probably full of bed bugs too absolutely grim 🤢 great video tho i know where not to stay in the future 🙏👍

Omg - I know £40 isn’t too much, but for £40 you would expect better than that, adams rooms mattress looks like it’s from a skip - how people can let out filthy rooms in a beyond me, my family had a hotel for 20 years and I helped run it , this standard of room is not acceptable in this day and age at any price.

Stayed in a hostel in London that was about £9 a night and it was better than this with free WiFi and breakfast. Even gave me a map to help find my way round

Try Jesmond hotel,blackpool...doors falling apart,wallpaper falling off,manky carpets marks on wall and manky bed too...all for £86 for 3 nights nights for me and my grandson
