- I was shocked by what i found in the hotel avano in Blackpool.
The hotel avano in Blackpool next to the Pleasure beach was one hotel I've heard a lot about, from its a great hotel right down to its worst rated hotel in BLACKPOOL.
I was SHOCKED about the amount of problems I found within the hotel avano.

It's a shithole and shouldn't be allowed to open.
A health hazard and probably fire risk.
Blackpool council should get their act together and close these places down.
Accommodation should have at least minimum standards, clean and safe.

Same, I'm amazed at this day in age, businesses such as these are allowed to exist, cannot be safe - How can there be any profit to be made at just £20 per night!??

With that hole in the wall, it reminds me of a hotel from a Carry on film 😂 I can just picture Sid James, peeping through at Barbara Windsor in the adjoining room as she gets changed. Come to think of it, it looks like the Carry On film era was when that room was last given a good clean! 😃

Me and my family stayed there for one night no hot water and absolutely freezing cold all night it was awful, when we first arrived they gave us a key for someone else’s room and walked in on people when I went to tell them they just didn’t really care, love your channel xx

I tend to stay not far from this place just down that same road on the right called the Crosby, it’s £23 a night, not the best but it’s honestly decent for the price, I’d love to see what you think of that place if you ever get the chance.

Just the look of that bed when you first opened the door to the room was enough for me. It looks as though it's leaning toward the bed rest and yellow is never a good colour for bed covers, for obvious reasons.
I really love the UV light. It really exposes the dirty stains the eye can't see. Love your videos keep them coming. Emma

Dan how can this hotel survive, looks absolutely disgusting room not fit to stay there. The mattress was worse Staines everywhere I won’t want to sleep on that bed as for yellow sheets no way plus the tv should have been fixed to wall was left in a dangerous position

Hi Dan great video. I was wondering if you could share with us your strangest experience and your most pleasant experiences with these hotels that you have stayed at. I once stayed at a Hotel that had a strange noise I couldn't figure it out stayed up all night trying to figure it out went to look in the cabinet and there was a possum. The sound I heard was the possum trying to get out.

Always wondered why you can'ta get a hotel room for under 100 quid most places. Well, I guess that's what they're like at that point... 22 quid a night is about what I pay in rent actually.... and my house might not be any cleaner, but hey, it's at least my own mess.

What would be very interesting, is you going to a higher end hotel and looking at their mattresses, as i imagine most hotel mattresses will have some level of stains due to bodily fluids etc

That is beyond bleak which is sad. I used to go over to Blackpool from Ireland quite a lot for the illuminations and international amateur boxing at the tower and as you said everything was closed by 9.30? In my time there it was only coming to life and a great buzz. Terrible what the foreign. package holiday has done to the industry

You are being too kind on the managers/owners of this place. Regardless of the price, there has to be a basic level of hygiene. The hotel is not even vaguely clean. In fact, it's so filthy that it's a threat to public health and obviously needs shutting down.
I guess you get what you pay for with a place like this - costs next to nothing for cleanliness and giving the place a lick of paint though. Makes me wonder what the owner is like!
If this room were a small child, Social Services and the Police would be taking a keen interest
The police don't even turn up after a 999 call and we were listed as a priority!

There was a massive fight outside this hotel about 4 nights ago. A woman was taken to hospital after having her head smashed in and a man was arrested. This hotel is worse than a segregation wing in a prison.

Why did you touch those Boxers and Nightie, I would have worn the gloves and lobbed them out the Window, Place wasn't as bad as Sky City, but you have stayed in much better, needs a deep clean and a Refurbishment, also that Extraction fan sounded like a knackered Moped. Overall it didn't seem to bad decent ish for a cheap place if you didn't think about the stains to much

Horrible place wouldn't want to stay there. When I rented a house living in Blackpool the dodgy maintenance man claimed to be the maintenance man at this rubbish tip hotel and wouldn't surprise me if he still is judging by state of that place. I agree with you totally no matter the price you should always ger a decent level of cleanliness no matter how cheap no excuse and those clothes down the bed absolutely rank and the noise would've drove me round the bend.
HI DAN the room or my god I know IT WAS CHEAP it could been cleaner also the room looked dark and that hall in the wall was bad how they can sell rooms out like this is unreal the bedding I WOULD went back down to complain about the bed HOTEL ROOMS SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED to have rooms like this the room was so dirty and other thing hotels like this DONT even serve food if the bedrooms are like this I wonder what the kitchens are like hotels like this the council wont let them serve food because of there hygiene rating more hotels like this are not great the rooms should be clean and tidy also it seems you could here people poor sound proofing also the MATREESES are bad THANKS DAN THE HOTEL HUNTER UK FROM KEITH

Why don't the owners make life a little easier for themselves. Get rid of some of the rooms, make rooms bigger, with better soundproofing, revamp to a higher quality standard, charge more, because you can, and the turnover will be greater than it is, with less people crammed in!
