I stayed one night at the GRAND HOTEL in Blackpool with Adam rotten rooms in a twin room to cut the cost because all single rooms were fully booked.

The Grand Hotel in Blackpool has overnight parking, which is £5 per car per night, but it's free to part on the roadside just next to the grand hotel.
The Grand Hotel in Black has a swimming pool, steam room, and a Sauna plus a gym with if you're staying in the Grand Hotel it only cost you £2 to use the Facilities.

Dan I totally agree with you on this one! Im a non smoker and I absolutely cannot stand when I get a room that smells like that or when people start smoking in non smoking areas.
I'm really surprised how clean it was compared to the Britannia hotel in Eastbourne..... I would happily stay in this hotel.

I fail to understand why the hotels don't invest in a great mattress sack, to protect the mattress. The mattresses always look hideous. It is always easier to clean and bleach and wash a mattress cover than replace the mattress.
What I always say, sure your house may not be perfectly spotless but at least you know whose muck it is, and not the muck of strangers 😂

I used to work here back in the days when it was a Hilton, I left in 2010 and it pretty much looks exactly the same, same furniture in the rooms. That door is an interlocking room, so the staff could open it up and rooms could mix. Maybe a family 2 could be in your room and 2 next door, almost makes it a bigger room.
We booked in to a right flea pit in Blackpool a few years back. Holes in the wall, no bathroom light, smashed sink. It was delightful so I got a refund and went home
Great videos mate. I must say I empathise with you on the positioning of the toilet flush handle here. I encountered a similar issue in the loo Rotherham bus station once, lol.
In regard to the pictures behind the TV; they were there before the flat screen TV and the bracket holding it to the wall was there. The old style CRT would have been situated on the little turntable underneath that now has the remote control and stuff on top of it.
I love watching all your videos on both channels and I wouldn't want to stay in any of these places,on a budget or not but keep making them anyway x

When you review the hotels or b & b do you ever check for bedbugs, cause the blood on the mattress made me think of them straight away. Seeing the blood stains would put me straight off. Couldn't sleep on that bed. Thanks Dan.

Dan can I suggest you go and review some 4* illegal migrant hotels. I bet you find the food and cleanliness much higher. They also do not pay for it. WE DO AS ENGLISH TAX PAYERS.

Wow , the stains on that mattress really could be anything. Well put me off and I think the bed overall just let the room down. Good view though, and I would stay there if I brought a thick mattress topper maybe and some disinfectant to wash that mattress. I never stayed anywhere where I would need cleaning products but to see you take them in your videos is such a good idea. love your vids Dan. I have watched them all. Thanks x

Hi Dan, This hotel isn't too bad, This UV light, my wife bought one, when she checked my headboard she called me a rude word then left me, So because of you i am now single! When she text to say she had bought the light i quickly got those pillar cases in the washing machine! I am really enjoying the video's and yours aren't bad either! Cheers Mark.

I'll check the bed and the bathroom . I've never fecked about with the lighting or TV as i'm just sleeping in the room and not living there for ages.

Glad to see you popping up as I've just finished work and having a cuppa. I'm a non smoker and I wouldn't want to stay in a nicotine smelling room.The cleaner hasn't been doing must dusting to be fair.Naff having a fake phone. Mattress not healthy. Your face on noticing the state of the mattress was a real picture 😂. Cracking view helped a lot .You could have used the bread as a door stop 😂 Cheers Dan xx

Looks a decent enough hotel to stay and I actually like the matching patterned furniture and the looked decent, but appearances can be deceiving.
That white metal thing is an eye bolt, used for lifting items
What would we need to lift in are rooms ?
I'd be blocking up the keyhole in the other door.

Please please please go to the Wheatley Inn in Doncaster. Its £60 a night but peeling walls. No heating, no hot water, mould, no TV remotes and so much more. Literally mould on the mattress. I'd love to see you there.
I love watching your vlogs but as an ex housekeeper, we were given 20 mins to clean a room. And my god you could walk into shit in the beds, floors. Sick everywhere but the toilet. It was pretty gruesome.sometimes. Also the doors are ajoining doors to the next room. Only used if families are in the next room. Carry on with the hotels , very enjoyable.

@@Thehotelhunterukit wasn't a criticism. Some of the rooms were spotless and we used to check the beds to see if they'd been slept in. And yes 20 mins you had to go like the clappers. No wonder I was thinner 😂

s also watch adams channel, that mystery door will be linked to the room next door for a family with kids sharing we had 1 like that when we stayed at a hotel in Southport. A hotel of that size will need a huge amount of staff for the upkeep of maintainance cleaning etc.
Annoys me that they charge for parking when staying at their hotel.see you in the next one.
It used to be the Hilton (it was decent then) but of course, it's now Britannia - need we say anymore!
Before that it was the Stakis and before that the Pembroke. I worked bars and banqueting for both and it was a very nice place then!
As someone who’s family was in the hotel business for years in Blackpool I can tell you Britannia hotels are not the worst hotels and when people say the staff are rude I’m not saying they can’t be but 9 out of 10 it’s people saying that because they can’t have there way and when you book a room in a Britannia hotels you are not going to get the best rooms at there prices if you want 5 star book somewhere else
i stayed there last year i didnt eat there but i felt the hotel was ok the staff seemed realy nice

The door is an adjoing room door..ages ago it was common in the U.S. because if you were a group or other family, you could open the door and see each other...It was a Hilton,so im sure that was the idea....it could be locked from both sides
And as Brittania Hotels go,as far as Ive seen on You Tube, this one is good....not that their bar is high..lol
The tv on the wall is funny. Obviously the old tv went on the dresser below on the turntable....why you wouldn't remove the art is just not thinking...they could use it elsewhere.....I bet those mattresses are from the Hiton days...a while ago...

That’s an improvement in your overnight accomdation, but even this one leaves a lot to be desired. And the evening meal.? Certainly not freshly cooked from scratch, and overpriced. Another hotel that’s looking well past its sell-by date, but can they afford to do a full refurb? Great video, cheers mate.

I don't think that yellow is piddle in the toilet. The place appears on the surface too clean for them to leave urine in the commode. I think it is that lemon 🍋 cleaner. They just leave it in the toilet to keep it disinfecting as long as possible.
