Tim, have a couple of nights at the Rock Hotel... a throwback (in a good way) to how it was and still should be in the world of hospitality. It aint perfect, but John Lennon got married there and you might just get the Apes gracing you with their company on the glorious outdoor terrace whilst you reflect and look out to Africa across the strait.
Can people go on that rock?

What a gorgeous hotel. The room is clean and elegant and the bathroom is just fantastic. Even the balcony is quite wonderful.
There’s something about the way Tim invites us to go with, when he says “C’mon…” that I really love. ❣️
That black helicopter-like contraption on the breakfast buffet is to chase away the flies from the food

I think the Sunborn 5* Hotel is nicer than the Dubai 7* Hotel you stayed in. The food looked amazing! I don't like large platefuls of food so that tasting menu would suit me down to the ground. Definitely worth saving my pennies for a holiday there.
I think the square pen keeps the pen from rolling when the boat rocks

Finally a hotel that I've stayed in. My room had a black marble bathroom but no seperate toilet but it had a bidet and bottom sprayer. And you could see through to it from the wardrobe too. We had Molton brown stuff. No seating area but the the view from our balcony was even better. Also loved breakfast.
Stayed here in 2019. Found it very "Fur coat, no knickers", almost like a shrine to the TOWIE brigade. Still, each to their own, but give me the Rock Hotel any day.
We were in Gib just before you, at the end of April. Stayed in the Holiday Inn Express, but had a meal on the Sunborn. Loved it so much, we're going back with our friends at the end of May & actually staying on the Sunborn this time

Welcome back to Gibraltar. As someone who lives close by, i've never had a reason to stay on the sunborn, so its great to see how nice the rooms are there! We have really had a heatwave at the beginning of May so you did well with the weather.. tho i noticed the dreaded levanter cloud on day 2 on your video!

I really liked the room and ship. Everything looked really elegant. The views were fantastic. I could see sitiing out there and watching the world go by. This definitely will be a place to go. Safe trip home.

We travelled to Spain for 3 weeks in our car with Brittany ferries on its flagship ferry the 'Pont Aven'.

Stayed there in 2015 and had a fab time. Highly recommend for a weekend break from the U.K.

This hotel cruise ship is amazing!! Id love this place! I love hotels! The pool deck sounds lovely Id be up there swimming and have a drink at the bar.
Wow what a stunning ship/Hotel it certainly puts a lot of 5 star hotels in the shade!! Quite suprised about the cost of the Rock Suite you stayed in ( still a lot money i know) but in comparison to many other hotels you have shown us i thought it was really good value!! Great also to see Gaby & Casper share the experience with you ❤

One question I have is:
Is it genuinely a floating hotel? Can you actually feel the waves rock the yacht or is it more a fixed structure designed to look like a yacht but constructed in the water?
It is floating but you really don't feel any movement as its in the marina. It wouldn't surprise me if it is hooked up or grounded so it doesnt move in case of storms. There's a lot of walkways connected to it as well as infrastructure, so it really can't move But it is a real yacht and it was all fitted out in queensway gibraltar and then was towed into position in Ocean village. There should be some footage of that somewhere.

I still think Id take a nice little family run hotel in Greece over this (good thing because I cant afford it anyway!) but it does look lovely.
Another amazing post! The bar with the blue superman lights and other lights is beautiful and it's great to see how you appreciated all those small very sparkly gold tiles in the bathroom - really nice! You should do some posts on cruise ships and river-type excursions! And the mountain view in the morning looked neat with the clouds on the mountain. I'm guessing the spinner think at the buffet is to keep bugs away? So funny, click the box in front of Gabi's face -- you guys look very happy! Best, from Colorado

My very first holiday abroad when i was 18 im now 66 and its still one of my best xx stayed with friends and it was the year Saturday Night Fever came out there were 20 k sailors on the island and me and my friends taught them the famous dance ha ha xx

Those hand spray toilet hoses are not as hygienic as you might think. the water vapour that comes off from it can be easily inhaled which is very unhealthy and the reason they are band by our Plumbing services on our City Council. just a bit of trivia I guess :) love the video.

Hi Tim, love watching your Gibraltar videos. I recently returned from visiting. The weather was a warm and sunny 22-25 degrees cel. It was my first visit and I am hooked. Gibraltar is amazing! Clean, good food and friendly. Definitely planning my trips there from now on, now that we will need visa's for main Europe. Gibraltar being a British territory means travelling there is hassle free as we just need to flash our British passports. 👍🏻🙂

You should try a cruise ship. It'll be one of the experiences of your lifetime. However, this floating hotel looks absolutely amazing. Shame there was no price given at the end. I'd definitely stay there.

Hey Tim, I've now noticed in several of your videos you mention the 'Snake Skin Leather' it's not, they have all been 'Crocodile Skin'! Snake skin has tiny scales to it not much bigger than a couple of millimeters. Crocodile skin, as you keep finding, has the large flat interlaced patterns like paving ;)

Beautiful room Tim , I have not travelled to Gibraltar but a lot of my friends have , they always tell me when we do travel to walk across the Spanish boarder and stay in a hotel there then walk back into Gibraltar as the hotels are a 5th of tbe price and just as good over there , they say at airport security they will ask uou if you are planning to stay in Spain but tell them no , ( I have asked them why but they say that's what they have always been told 😂 ) keep up the good videos.

I stayed in the Sunborn in London Docklands it was slightly less impressive, but nice for the O2.
