The long-awaited Atlantic crossing. A big shout out to Dylan, who stepped up from his regular position as a deckhand to Videographer for the crossing to bring this to you while Steve and I were away on vacation. It's a weird feeling watching these videos and seeing life on board when I'm not there. However It's great to see the crew continuing on and getting it done. 😎

For those eager to know if I was ever able to shower again; I can confirm there were multiple spouts that released water, largely into my eyes and gaping mouth as I screamed in horror. But it peeled off rather easily and I spent the remainder of the shower plotting revenge on the deck team which you’ll see in part 2 😄

That's the issue with having cabins up front. Also why I woukd never have a main deck owner's cabin on an explorer yacht because I wouod be living aboard that yacht going places. I would be in the back and down as low as possible. Like sleep in the beach club. Lol. No, but low as possible. It sucks on small crew areas like a Sanlorenzo where your bed is not only small and oddly shaped, but also the ceiling is a couple inches from you and you get bounced into it all night. So we would sleep on cushions In the main salon.

  •  Месяц назад

It's easy to see that the owner is very consistent in his preference for all things (and crew), to look their best.

I have been a number of times and while the seas can get rough/rolling like, I’ve never gotten sea sick as others are puking their toenails up, I can sleep like a baby during any high winds/storms (although I’ve come close to being tossed out of bed several times), some get sea sick while others fare just fine! If you’re ever adventuring off on a cruise it’s probably best to pick up some Dramamine to bring along with you, just in case, you don’t want the experience spent hurling over the side of the vessel or in a bathroom for many hours, constantly feeling nauseous, unable to keep anything down, and miss all the fun and sights/scenery.

    • @Buddy89538

Besides the seasickness the feeling of being completely isolated is something that is humbling and brings you down to earth. The everyday things we worry about on land are a distant memory. It’s you and the sea. I used to plan my whole life out while I was on watch late at night or early mornings watching those sunrises and sunsets takes you away.
