It seems we're going in circles. After a hefty nerf, they seem to buff HOTA again. Why? There are so many unused and potentially good skills, from DS to Upheaval, to the all-time fav WW. Why hota again? Same thing with ball lightning. No originality, no creativity, just the old D3 formula of circular seasonal OP builds that get nerfed and then buffed again. I thought we were beyond this. I thought the devs learned from past mistakes. Apparently I was wrong. I am not hyped at all for season 7.
My issue with D4 skills since launch is that they just are inferior in basically every way to D3's identical or close equivalents, and the reasoning, apparently, is because their extremely laggy and unstable 'open world' can't handle people moving (or spamming skills) too fast (a few evade spiritborns breaks everything lol). Rogue's new dance of knives is nothing compared to D3 GoD DH strafing, all of rogue's other skills are way slow compared to, say, D3 UE DH playstyle, and barb especially got shafted the hardest. WW doesn't gain movement speed bonuses like it did in D3 so there's no way to actually make it go fast, you can be moving extremely fast but just like LE Warpath, the second you start channeling you lose a bunch of speed for no reason. Upheaval too, it's D3 seismic slam except has a terrible slow 'windup' time that makes it not spammable. Why? Why design all these skills like this? Not to mention necro not having blood rush or any traversal skill compared to D3 where every class got something, or in DH and WD's (and later Crusader's) case, the ability to just move really REALLY fast? DH even got two ways; vaulting was already extremely fast but you could also just use shadow power and a few other skills to make yourself shoot around fast too. Obviously when you're in the endgame, you might lose some move speed for toughness and/or damage, but D4 doesn't even do this. The best 'speed' builds are basically the same build used in endgame content as well. Unlike D3 where you might use ingeom for speeds, then switch to furnace or something class specific for pushing content, nah just lightning spear all day all the time, you teleport constantly with it and its also the best in general, and yet clearly its design wasn't intended or they wouldn't have had to nerf its amount of conjurations and buff its damage to compensate way back in that hotfix patch... Yeah, I'm not hyped either. I guess if you play nothing but Spiritborn you'll enjoy it because with the buffs you might actually try something other than quill volley, but all of those other builds are already so much better than every other class still anyway.
@@Smudge7Four Yeah, like I said in my very tl;dr comment, it sucks because instead of just taking the skill from D3, they took it and made it worse. Same with DH multishot becoming barrage which is much slower and harder to constantly kite with like was fun to do with UE DH in D3, and many other skills.
I can't stand Blizzard's approach to "balance" and trying to encourage build diversity. It never works. They take the builds that people play because it is one of, or the only, build that can actually scale to do end content and gut it. They give other passives or abilities some meager percentage increases and say "job done!". The next season players find the new one good build and everyone plays that while the rest of the changes and builds are completely ignored because they aren't able to scale. Then Blizzard guts it and the process starts all over again. Remove the stupid caps from builds, rework terrible systems like Sorc enchantments, let builds go nuts if you are able to scale it and gear it. The end game in D4 is a joke and extremely shallow so who gives a shit if you are playing a ultra damage build. Sure fix bugs like the crazy spiritborn stuff that wasn't ever intended, but god damn Blizzard you make enjoying playing your game harder then it should be.
Now that the base game has been overhauled to be pretty good I'm hoping the seasons from now on improve a lot. Between D4 (hopefully improving the seasonal drops), LE's new season in Q1 next year, and PoE2 we should be eating super well for the foreseeable future in the Diablo/Exile/Epoch-like genre.
I hope POE2 pushes diablo to do better. Season 7 seems way better than other seasons but it still seems to lack new seasonal content. I hope competition makes this devs do better
I’m actually looking forward to spiritborn in season 7. Will be nice to experience the class as it was intended instead of ‘blue wings go burrrr’. My current build is my own mix but let’s be real, any build with Kepeleke is broken even if not doing trillions+ of dmg.
I'm going to play sorc all PTR. I don't know how the devouring blaze nerf is going to impact the class. They changed a couple other passives to compensate, so we'll see. And I'm looking forward to trying the new unique focus.
Same. I will copy over my two best Sorc builds to the PTR. I will set a baseline on Eternal and then try to use all the changes on the PTR and see whether I can compensate for the Devouring Blaze and Conjuration Mastery changes. I will not be testing any of the seasonal content in PTR. For me, providing feedback on the state of the Sorc is most important.
I know, right? Im excited for POE2, im not gonna waste my time shitting on every diablo content if I end up enjoying that game more. For now I like both games, if I end up liking only POE i can just stop commenting on diablo content
Sorc definitely got the short end of the stick, and I am not a fan that CLAW can no longer proc TOXIC CLAWS for Druid like wtf... Other than that these are generally fantastic changes and I'm kinda torn between Fire Barb and Naruto Rogue - the latter I have already been playing this season and am tempted to do a video for. Also really digging the Thorns love it's about time. Razorplate still needs a massive rework though.
You guys keep saying it's a step in the right direction and "just needs more of the same" etc every single season. It's had plenty of the same. Damage buffs every single season.. more and more torment difficulties.. more drops.. more density.. more random end game activities without a progression system. The game has a lot but it's all scattered things with nothing tying them together or an actual progression system. The game needs a total rework in my opinion.
15:45 thats tricky though, they removed toxic claws "universal" poisoning and now they are forcing us to take poison from other sources, which in my opinion is bad. You can't create new ways of playing and building your character by limiting and reducing existing options. Thats not how arpg balance should work.
Overall good changes and hopefully more to come. It would be great to have the Rogue/SB class designers take a peek at the other classes to add some flair to them. I think those 2 classes are by far the most diverse and fleshed out of any in D4. In any case, S7 will be a solid move forward.
I'll probably skip this season and wait for masterworking and other progression improvements. In my opinion how the whole item system should work is that items should only be able to increase in power, a reduction of power or straight up bricking should not be possible, the only reason you should ever hesitate to upgrade is the resource costs to do so. With enough time you should be able to reliably max out any item, although "max" in this case is relative to the initial rolls of the item, you obviously cannot add GAs and such to an item through upgrades. The amount of resources required to max an item should also scale relative to how good the initial rolls were, so a shitty item should be cheap to max out while a godlike item should be much more expensive.
Glyphs should be shifted to Codex and made class/realm bound. Like Aspects, temper recipes, paragon, mercenaries, etc. Glyph leveling was the most annoying part of progression (after tripple crit masterwork), even with 21 glyph levels …
Good first steps, but theres so much more that needs to be done. I hope the best for D4s future, but theres still very little that actually gets me excited.
I do hope season 7 is gonna be great, i really like this Diablo-like :D EDIT: i think the drop rate increase of ancestral is a mistake. The buff to the aspects and the fact that they always have ga is great, and current drop rate will be fine with the buff. EDIT2: Running charged bolts focusing stun was great this season, tier 4 build, but not a high pit build. It sucked on bosses, purely because the stun effects didnt work. So now that they do, it could actually be really fun.

Rain of Arrows looks like it's going to be pretty crazy this season - those two ultimate skill new aspects look huge. I'm already hitting in the billions in season 6.
They just need to take a step back and put real content in the game. While doing that make ALL of their classes feel good to play. It’s going to be a while before the game feels actually worth playing
Sadly, we know from ActiBlizz's past actions, that even if they hadn't outright admitted it this time (they did though LOL), they always want the 'new thing (that can be bought with real money)' to be extremely overpowered so that everyone buys it. There's a reason they haven't nerfed Quill Volley into the ground, and the only reason they nerfed the evade animation canceling was because it was affecting server stability (the same reason they originally nerfed lightning spear). When their team cooks up some new 'strong' thing they want everyone to use it, but doubly so when Corporate want the millions of people that have bought but quit D4 in the last year to come back and buy the expansion (even if they then quit a week in when they hit paragon 250+, do a pit 120 or higher, get bored and never come back).
They won't, d4s initial sales were crazy and they also made a fortune from microtransactions. If they wanted to put out large amounts of content they would of for voh, it's obvious the bare minimum for maximum profit is the driving force at this point. I'd expect more of the same going forward.
Yeah you both are very very spot on lol sadly, I was a very very big hyper of D4 from announce to closed beta and to launch, it’s just so sad to see something you WANT to be good just fall short every single time. That’s why I personally dropped it in Season 2, they don’t care about the game as a good experience just a “product” to have out, it’s unfortunate
@zzziiiR Give poe 2 a fair shake, nothing stopping you from coming back to d4, I've played from beta to this point despite still playing poe. The one major advantage of d4 is the lack of content means your done with a season so quickly it doesn't interfere with anything else.
@ oh trust i am glazing for POE 2 haha I have been only playing PoE 1 at the start of this last league, have thrown nearly $900 already at GGG no shame. The second the reveal was over that Thursday, I went and bought the highest supporter pack so I am very much looking forward to that
If they announced decent rewards for their uninspired content I'd still play. Give me a carrot. But rewards have been lackluster thus far. That's my biggest disappointment.
The long term health of the game depends on the vast majority of players who aren't playing it 12 hours a day and/or streaming it. Which means that the one character and build that most people will be playing needs to be fun to play for the season, with a tangible feeling of progression, regardless of class and build. If you're locking the game behind arbitrary progress limiters that can only be overcome by the most devout non-working, non-studying people, you can only expect it to fail. Hello Rod *malignant tunnel* Ferguson.
Blizzard should take the time while POE2 has its reign to totally revamp all the classes and add more depth to the endgame of D4. Blizzard should take it as a compliment that A developer like GGG was inspired by a Blizzard(North)title, Namely Diablo 2 , to make games like POE and POE2. The best form of flattery is imitation. I’m excited for POE2 and I am also excited to see what Blizzard does with Diablo 4 going forwards after this shake up in the ARPG community.
Poe fanbase one of the most toxic i've seen. its almost the same level as LoL or Dota. They come to shit on every d4 video. its just lame 🤡 shitting on other games dont make your "favourite" game better.
I never played Poe in my life but i'm saying the same things as those "toxic Lol and Dota"people , maby the game is just really bad and people want something better wich Poe2 delivers? Did you ever think about that or is your IQ too low for that?
Its not PoE fanbase. Its the Diablo fan base disappointed by Blizzard and watching another game embarrass what used to be a powerhouse development studio.
It's designed for 2+ players. What you're asking for is the equivalent of legacy raids in wow which is also stupid. Don't want to group up, fine do the rest of the content. Quit crying.
@@Dookapu177 the very fact that they made the game force people to play online in the first place is an insult to gamers, not everyone wants or even can play online so to add something that is specifically targeted for people to play in groups is an even further insult, if you don't agree with that, you are welcome to Fu*k Off seeing as this is my opinion and that is what the comment section is for
I tend to agree with your sentiment, although my wife and I were able to duo it quite easily. You're not missing out on much. It's interesting the first time but has zero replay value. The areas between bosses are copy-paste. The boss mechanics were fun to learn the first time, but once you know what to do, it's just dullsville.
Nightmare dungeons are useless and annoying already, and they are tuning up the annoyance even more. I have a strange feeling there is a team in blizzard responsible for stuff that irritates players. They gather up and think of a new way to annoy people with their "cool" ideas.
Hate to say it but I’m jumping off the D-train. I’ve been playing since release and with each season Blizzard has proven they don’t understand what it means to have meaningful content and endgame. It was fun at first and but it gets old and it does not seems there is going to be any changes to the formula. It’s a shame cause they have an awesome world with awesome game play but the game is so shallow.
The fact they put such a large focus of their new expansion's endgame on a shitty multiplayer dungeon that is only hard the first time you do it, and then you probably will never die again whether 2 or 4 players, and you only need to do it once a week, and there's no real incentive to farm it more except for an extremely ugly goatman cosmetic set to buy with its currency... yeah, the D4 team needs the kick that PoE2 is giving them.
D4 one year gone and still no balance 😂 cant belive that 1 class addon and this crazzy multiplayer destroys the hole game T4 is easy as fuc4 no content
Nothing to be excited about. No changes to whirlwind, whirlwind is still doing zero damage and the dust devils are doing all the damage. That's bad class design. They should rename the skill to dust devils and remove the spin effect.
More accurately, it's what you get when you hire entirely off of diversity quotas instead of talent. Hey it doesn't matter that their work sucks if they are women or nonwhite men, because their 'value' to the corporation is not in their talents. The funny thing is I'm not even joking or exaggerating; the company should want the best talent to produce the best work to make the most money, but DEI/ESG "initiatives" have a different goal in mind.
@@amanvellamang1342 Why? I played D4 for 18 months since beta , over 30 lvl 100s so I tryed it , waited for it to become better but its just a bad game. Maby grow a pair and don't get your feelings hurt when people say something bad about your precious game that doesnt fit your narrative.

@nitro1048 the thing is. I can have fun with multiple games. My enjoyment isn't tied to diablo or Poe. The fragile one is you and your ilk that can't enjoy your game in peace and leave a turd smell everywhere you comment that's not POE related
It's sad because, while yes the MUH POE2 comments might be annoying, but they wouldn't sting so much if Diablo 4 wasn't extremely boring if you arent someone with thousands of hours (and lets be honest, lots of disposable income, or 'good friends' like elon musk has lmao) to get to 300 paragon as spiritborn and spam quill volleys. This is anecdotal, but I hopped back on last week for a single day (only paragon 268 but 'good' geared spiritborn) and in a legion saw a 300 barrage rogue with amazing gear and his full 3ga legendaries and 3-4ga uniques and even a 4ga starless skies, and bro was doing only 'okay' damage like easily killing trash but doing almost nothing to elites or the bosses... Sure this is on the 'super hard' t4 difficulty but us spiritborns were just running through everything with evade, monke smash or QV. That was the moment I actually gave up on D4; I never wanted to main spiritborn but after getting nec, sorc, and even druid to 60 and starting to gear them off dtrade and realizing I'd be having trouble on pit 90-100 versus my spiritborn already doing 130 no problem? Nah, I'm good lmao

In BTW after 10k hours lost in the so called game produced by ggg , will never comeback 😉, about the bad made copy of d4 they call poe2 , no words to explain 😂
I want to add these lines: "Ok, we dont have new things but, here is old ball lightning, but bigger balls. Dont you ever like bigger balls? Everyone likes bigger balls. Here have our bigger balls. They even rotate around you, the our bigger balls."
@@vevabgImagine being such a blizzard cockrider lmao
Poe 2 is going to run circles around d4, but you just keep coping buddy
@@MusaOsmanKaratosun hey guys we took an old aspect and put it on a unique as a power instead. Is that not exciting? But wait, there's more! We reskinned S1 and S2 !!! Dont ya love us!
@@sols.2525they put the aspect power on a unique, added the a new aspect to be a substitute and this without taking the place of Sorc new unique and aspect of the season :)
The second the reveal was over that Thursday, I went and bought the highest supporter pack so I am very much looking forward to that
Season 7 is season 2 reborn
Thanks for the update Wudi and can't wait to see what u cook up for poe2 also.
Might as well wait for po2 😂
the druid ammy is meh they should make item for tornado something gg like glove or amulet
D4 is best ARPG
Blizzard should take the time while POE2 has its reign to totally revamp all the classes and add more depth to the endgame of D4. Blizzard should take it as a compliment that A developer like GGG was inspired by a Blizzard(North)title, Namely Diablo 2 , to make games like POE and POE2. The best form of flattery is imitation. I’m excited for POE2 and I am also excited to see what Blizzard does with Diablo 4 going forwards after this shake up in the ARPG community.
Shortest PTR in history of diablo
Poe fanbase one of the most toxic i've seen. its almost the same level as LoL or Dota. They come to shit on every d4 video. its just lame 🤡 shitting on other games dont make your "favourite" game better.
deserved shitting tho, dunno guess d4 players who gonna stick to that are really dumb, eating every season same stuff without any content update
Tbh Blizzard makes it easy to do so, they're just an easy target because of the state of the game.
I never played Poe in my life but i'm saying the same things as those "toxic Lol and Dota"people , maby the game is just really bad and people want something better wich Poe2 delivers? Did you ever think about that or is your IQ too low for that?
The funny thing is they haven’t even played POE 2 yet
Its not PoE fanbase. Its the Diablo fan base disappointed by Blizzard and watching another game embarrass what used to be a powerhouse development studio.
No pit improvement = L
D4 season7 : season of poe2.
Thanks D4, i love the AI songs
menue??is that french?
D4 is a product, POE is a game!

They need a Diablo 3.0
The Poe meat riders are here!
but how will the "greatest d4 player in the world" feel about this update i wonder? surely elon will buy blizzard so that SB stays as is
Until they allow solo players to do the citadel as well I am not really interested in diablo 4
No one plays citadel. Its boring af. But d4 party finder is actually working. Try shift+o 😊
@ well it’s the only but I haven’t been able to do on my own or at all yet
Not bad been playing Diablo since the start so I enjoy it all never gets biring
trading has ruined the game... but no one cares D4 is trash
No change to shadowblight is nuts
Hate to say it but I’m jumping off the D-train. I’ve been playing since release and with each season Blizzard has proven they don’t understand what it means to have meaningful content and endgame. It was fun at first and but it gets old and it does not seems there is going to be any changes to the formula. It’s a shame cause they have an awesome world with awesome game play but the game is so shallow.
Skip the first 9min of the video if like me you don't give a single f___ about the cringeborn. You're welcome.
Diablo IV is just sad man. I love the franchise but there's no reason to play past 5 hours. The endgame is basically non-existent.
As owner of Diablo 4 Ultimate and Expansion (standard edition) I say: Goodbye Diablo 4.
TLDR: no new endgame. another L
D4 fuckn blows.. shit is still a meme
D4 one year gone and still no balance 😂 cant belive that 1 class addon and this crazzy multiplayer destroys the hole game T4 is easy as fuc4 no content
D4 is dogshit. Abandon this moneysink and let's all go to POE2.
What is this game? Is it an Exile-Like?
PoE 2 waiting room
Nothing to be excited about. No changes to whirlwind, whirlwind is still doing zero damage and the dust devils are doing all the damage. That's bad class design. They should rename the skill to dust devils and remove the spin effect.
notice since poe2 been highly talked bout in the last week d4 seems to be crashing a lot like last night my game crashed like 4 times in half hour
Diablo 4 is what you get when you hire B students only
Go play your souls expansion and stfu
More accurately, it's what you get when you hire entirely off of diversity quotas instead of talent. Hey it doesn't matter that their work sucks if they are women or nonwhite men, because their 'value' to the corporation is not in their talents. The funny thing is I'm not even joking or exaggerating; the company should want the best talent to produce the best work to make the most money, but DEI/ESG "initiatives" have a different goal in mind.
WHO GIVES A FUCK ABOUT D4 LOL. POE2 IS AROUND THE CORNER
Like literally 10x more people than poe, for example

The biggest change in season 7 for me personally is Poe2 , not coming back to this pile of ****! Finally a real Arpg to play.
grown ups will ya?
@@amanvellamang1342 Why? I played D4 for 18 months since beta , over 30 lvl 100s so I tryed it , waited for it to become better but its just a bad game. Maby grow a pair and don't get your feelings hurt when people say something bad about your precious game that doesnt fit your narrative.
You say since Beta bit lets be honets its still in Beta, speaking as someone who has 4.5k hours in d4 @ZakPatat14888
@@ZakPatat14888 wow so much commit into the game, pretty sure someone thats not a complete idiot wouldnt waste that amount of time into a pile of dung. Just be honest and tell us ure one of a lot of trolls out there that think people gets hurt insulting a videogame
Why do you need to announce that you're done with the game like it matters?
feels so pointless to talk or think about D4 right lol.
Yet you are doing both
Damn leave the ship while there are life boats.... They seem exhausted from pushing the expansion as hard as possible that there's nothing left for the game anymore
I think that's the problem, this team showed its maximum amount of ability and effort and all we got was quill volley, a worse version of diablo 2's runewords, and a multiplayer "dungeon" for casual players.
Played POE for 2 years, really liked it, dropped money on it. I refuse to play POE2 on principle based on the toxic community. Obnoxious bunch of people
I could understand this statement if you played Dota1 and u refuse to play 2 cuz of the toxic community.
But refuse to play a game what you can play solo it's just without understanding. 😂
@nitro1048 the thing is. I can have fun with multiple games. My enjoyment isn't tied to diablo or Poe. The fragile one is you and your ilk that can't enjoy your game in peace and leave a turd smell everywhere you comment that's not POE related
Tbh I feel the same, with this level of toxicity how does it make a newcomer to the franchise feel that may need help or advice.
waste of time, brother go poe2
What are you doing here 😂 ?! Simple question 😂 and pure example of all community of the bad made copy of d4 game 😂
You mean the souls expansion?
Brother, dive into poe2, don't waste your precious time on this 😂
😂😂😂 sure
HAHHAAHHAAH
Sad that D4 in this state where's nothing to do and will never be not like in POE. So sad to see ☹
It's sad because, while yes the MUH POE2 comments might be annoying, but they wouldn't sting so much if Diablo 4 wasn't extremely boring if you arent someone with thousands of hours (and lets be honest, lots of disposable income, or 'good friends' like elon musk has lmao) to get to 300 paragon as spiritborn and spam quill volleys.
Hi Wudi! ! You can chill a bit with the boring D4 PTR before the real game begins! See you on Dec 6th in HC!
@wudijo but you have giveway ? I received a request from you with your name and photo, where I had won a PC on discord?!?
