Very Underrated Ship, wish it had a backdoor or ladder into the living area. Would def be my daily driver if it did.
back then it had a hatch underneath the hull but they removed it for some reason

I love the Beta. My only issue with it is that it's so hard to carry boxes. If it had a little half SCU tray in the back to put mission boxes on without having to use a tractor beam, or a way to enter into the back without having to sit in the pilots seat first, it would be a perfect ship.
This, I think every starter ship needs a nook to store 1 or 2 1/8 boxes. (And not just drop on floor)
I really think it needs a small drop down cargo section, especially given its role. Even just a few SCU would be amazing!
I find a lot to like in the Beta. I just would like to see a secondary entrance and maybe a looker for 1 or 2 of the small boxes (1/8 scu?) and I would like to see something other than an all-orange hud makes it hard to see targets. But the views from the pilot's seat are fantastic.
I agree, and think those changes would really bring the Beta into line compared with the other multi role starters!

How do you get into the living bay?
If holding Y doesn’t work (and makes you exit the cockpit), then hold F and look to the right, there should be a prompt to exit to the rear or something similar!
Definitely love the idea of the beta but I just cant find a use to it myself over something like the titan.
Atm the Titan is just the far superior choice!
The Mustang Beta is the "van life" of ships.

The Mustang is such a great camper, more people should check them out!
The only reason I don't use it is because it doesn't have a ladder tool enter the interior

wings explode during combat. love it but its a nightmare for combat xD
I used to have the same issue. But I started learning from pvp players and found a sort of hit and run tactic with it. Also going into engagements with all power to shields helps out A LOT

Awful ship right now. It desperately needs a redesign. Internal cabin looks like a prison cell too.
