So what did we learn today? - you can use a Burst QT drive instead of an Atlas in the Beta which will shave off about 30 seconds between MT and Arcorp. -all variants have storage access by the pilot ladder. -Delta is currently a D tier PVP ship. - Slightly worse at bounties as time to kill is longer on bigger ships.
Agreed. I honestly didn't expect the Delta to kick so hard either though. I was just tearing through bounties in that thing. Not as fun when the rocket pod ran dry but still.
I love the distinctive look of my Alpha. Slap a blue/black or yellow/black paint scheme on that and you have a very sexy ship. The ability to carry 2 or 3 persons in the back hold make it a real cost effective drop ship too. :)
Great Video. I tried the beta and loved it but switched back to the Alpha because of that Cargo bed and being able to access the Storage from the ladder rather than having to get in the ship like the Beta. One thing I didn't realise before tho that sealed the deal. You can buy gimbals for the S1's on the wings and the Turret is gimballed already so you can get a full Gimballed build w/o losing DPS which basically means every shot lands. I'd love to try it again in PVP with that. Also u say the delta has no cargo space. Does that mean there's no Open Storage prompt at all at the ladder? That'd be unfortunate, cuz It was nice storing spare mags, med suppplies, drinks , armor or multitools in there when needed. Also I'm guessing that there's no way to put a 1SCU box in the Alpha's cargo bay. It looks like it'd be too tight.
This is exactly what i was looking for! Great video. It's a shame they are not selling the mustang delta right now, i was really looking forward to buy it. Would you recommend the Arrow as an alternative?
Definitely. The Arrow is an absolute beast of a fighter. But If you really wanted the delta most combat ships will be on sale during invictus event next month. But out of the 2 the arrow is the better fighter.
@@Reds_Resort Yeaaaap, and still just wishing the dev will implement more customisation on either the looks (That would look sweet with some nosearts) or internals (engines etc)
Disagree, the Mustang is a solid contender small fighter. If you need more expensive ships to do a small fighters role, its probably your flying that is lacking.
The Mustang Alpha is a great early earner, looks good and it's pleasant enough to pilot that I don't see the reason why I should change it as pledge ship. A starter's one and only purpose is to get you to your next ship, anything more is a bonus and the Mustang does very much take that extra leg and is still useful and nice enough to use that you do get back to it even long after as you manage to purchase better earners.

All weapons can no longer be auto gimballed but can still be manual gimballed without dropping a weapon size.
I personally prefer the Beta for the comfort factor but the new reworked alpha cargo box really solidifies its usability/utility

I like the Beta, just wish you could get into the ship without sitting in the pilot seat. Can't do box missions because of it
I never actually tried this. So is there no way to leave the canopy open and tractor things in and out?
@Red's Resort you can, but not in an armistice zone. Which is where most of those missions take place and are delivered.
@@drinksanddice6428 aww of course.
@@drinksanddice6428 I remember being able to throw boxes, or did they get rid of that.
@@TigerJaeger131 you can only drop and place boxes. And the small stuff you can throw most the time it doesn't work either
Wow what a fantastic video! This needs more views!
Thanks for the kind words dude.

@@Reds_Resort Thanks for the heads up!
Problem : boxes tends to glitch out from the cargo hold.
Yeah there's a lot of mad stuff going on right now. I was stuck on the C2 ladder for about 10 minutes last night. Games on it's knees.

How do i get the yellow and green paint for the mustang?
It's the default skins for the Mustang Delta dude. I only way to get it is by having that ship I'm afraid.
All the starter ships need a rework thye have been left behind in a rude way.
where is my mustang omega? I wish there was a comparison video for it. Im convinced its the worse apart from racing
Isn't it just a paintjob of the Gamma? Like the Emerald Phoenix.
Nice video but the correct answer to the question is: None
The mustangs are shit. Spend the extra money and get something better.

Idk about that, I’ve done vhrt’s in the delta and I’m a mediocre pilot at best
@@bangem1988 i agree mostly. Sometimes the wings get shot of completely randomly, but yeah, you can do great with a mustang.
