- Star Citizen 3.20 is absolutely filled with updates and the Hull C is the latest ship to come to star citizen and I really love it. It's the biggest cargo ship to hit star citizen and I can't wait to figure out how to daily drive.

*Enters Decoupled mode instead
*Falls like a rock 🤣
I haven't played yet obviously but that change alone pisses me off. I DON'T LIKE COMBO KEYS! There's already enough goddamn keys to remember... WHEN I come back, I'm probably going to foget that and crash cause this keyboard warrior can't fly without coupled.
Hate that change. Surely there’s more of us that use cruise control more than decoupled mode. I know it’s an easy change to put back but WHY!
If I didn't read this comment that would be me
But i'm sure ill forget
@@JarofMayonaise This is why I play with HOSAS(2x VKB Gladiator Evo's with 1 GNX-SEM module button expander) and rudder pedals. Oh and you don't need Cruise Control when you're using a stick that will stay put where you left it.
@@SternLX sick! you paid 1000 bucks for the game to not be arse! what a great game 👍
I'm personally looking forward to the Hull B. The ability to land fully loaded but carrying way more cargo than the Hull A feels like the perfect balance for me
Not sure if the B can land as concepts have the cargo sticking out the bottom still like the C
As configured in the concept now, the B would need some pretty long landing gear to land loaded. I wonder if the might just make the B cargo grids a larger version of the A so cargo is loaded on either side of the fuselage instead of on top and bottom too
What the Hull B isn't out yet? Why the heck did they build the Hull A then skip through B and go straight for C?
@@yous2244 they probably haven't, they're likely working on them simultaneously, those who worked on A are probably now working on B, but C was being developed separately as it requires very different tech to get it to work like the new loading/cargo area on space stations.
@@yous2244 the Hull C is in Squadron 42 I believe
I don't know what I expected for the Hull-C when I first saw the concepts, but I definitely was not expecting it to be THAT BIG.....

It's a bit of a surreal moment seeing the Hull C in game after all these years of concept art day dreaming. I cannot wait to get into the verse and hit the trading lanes
i feel you too.
cant wait to see them all explode -- so excited!@@rots3123
And here I am waiting on the Crucible.... maybe in another 5 years!
You can say "that's what she said" to pretty much everything in the first minute of you looking at the ship
Hearing the excitement of Ollie first seeing his Hull C, and describing it in terms starting from compact to rather impressive, gets bigger, fairly narrow but quite long, with real special sauce right down the middle that make it expand and unfold.... phew... Not even Bezos's "Penis" spaceship made me blush as much :)
Lmao yes
The ships are cool, but i dont see the point if you cant really fly around in them. Yeah you can in Space but its very limited. The game is a bit of a disappointment, especially with what games can do now a days! Im not hating on the game, im just expressing my disappointment. I hope you enjoy the game if its for you! :))
Wait until you find out about the larger ships that can't even fly near the planets as the gravity is too much for the ship's thrusters to hold them up.
i dont want new content... i want the game to run smoothly without having to own a nasa pc
Same. I just want a game that has mininal bugs and crashes while running smoothly
A fully loaded Hull-C being limited to space would be so cool, there could be small industry set up around ferrying cargo pods from orbit to surface
IIRC that is the intended plan. The Hull series isn't supposed to be able to fly in atmosphere while extended, which is that the MPUV-Cargo is for. Hull series is the equivalent of container ships IRL. They move stupid amounts of cargo from port to port, then leave it to small trucks to move the cargo from port to destination.
Though either way, even if they can fly in atmosphere, it's useless to do so. They can't land with the cargo spindles extended, so atmos flight would only be to/from a home hanger planetside.
I think the Hull A is intended as a surface-to-orbit ferry.
That ship view on the scanner…. The hull shaft….
The Pying Fleenis!
Been playing SC for a couple years now and I'm still just in awe of their attention to detail in their ships. But oh my god..that top profile on the screen. Looking like Dr Evils rocket
Hull-C was stillborn. It's in game, but completely broken and pointless.
BRO a Cargo ship is not an update. When is this game going to get a bug fix update? Y'know, like, make sure all the basic functionality is proper for a 11 year old game? I attempted to play this for the 5th download and still nothing impresses me about this game aside from the fact they can suckle on that real life money you have to spend on ships for a game that is a 50/50 chance itll be worth your time or just crash or bug out and kill you for no reason.
The Intrusive thought to try and close the spindle while it's loaded. A worthy sacrifice.
What a fiasco this ship has been, it still does not undock properly. You can work around it by storing a smaller ship on a pad, getting your Hull C out, then flying to it with the small ship and EVAing into it. Starting to make some money on it but lost millions initially. Cargo can cost millions and it is woefully armed to defend itself and extremely slow out of QT.
I think for larger ships, there should be an interface near the doors where you can power up stuff, like a little engineering console.
You do everything from the pilot seat right now, but I believe (and I could be wrong) that once we get the whole resource management system, you'll have to go to engineering on these larger ships to start the whole thing up.
@@chrishoppner150that’s when having a crew wi be necessary for large ships. It’s going to be so much fun!!
When the cargo is being loaded it would be so cool to have little drones flying from the station to fill up the cargo space on the ship! Something like what @draakdeon mentioned elsewhere in the comments

Thiss
so happy to finally see this ship in the verse, and can't wait to see what sorta crazy antics people come up with for it. The devs really outdid themselves again on this one. My one and only real question about it though is did nobody on the dev team stop to question the very phallic shape of the Hull C in the little menu window of the dashboard? Or did they notice it, and leave it as is for the memes, considering the fact the ship grows longer?

I think those are EVA suit lockers in the airlocks. Thats a pretty cool feature, if you could actually store space suits in them.
just a few more decades!
The little cubbies labelled "captian" "pilot" "engineer" are suit lockers for EVA. It's why they're in the airlock.
They know Starfield is coming out so they're trying to keep people interested lol
It's so impractical for a solo like me, but I expect I'll still fly it.

This is one of CIG's MAJOR problems. They do something before they actually think it through.
Nothing makes this more apparent than the Co-pilot. Currently the Co-pilot cant so much as even monitor the ship's state with coupled and landing gear.
So in reality, what the Captain SHOULD be able to do... is remote commerce and logistics. They SHOULD be able to look at prices, availability and actually BUY the cargo before you even get there. Currently, however, they just sit there pretending to be self important.
sitting there pretending to be self important is literally what SC is all about... beautiful graphics, not much to do beyond just existing and feeling like a cool space person
Looks like a gigantic bus lol all Misc ships does lol
And this is literally the first ship i seen on here where the pilot chair and the captain chair is in the right place. All the larger Origin ships should have that as well.
Imagine having this ship and CIG had xenomorph like creatures. "Proper" amount of creepy would be had.
Pirates raiding that ship would be proper fun too with a full crew.

I hate sw, and don't want anything related to this shite.
I want original.
SC > SW
Look at SC fans getting all excited over the bare minimum
The cargo loading zones should have multiple tether or docking hard points for collection/drop off IMO. The zones coulkd either be accessible by elevators (but can't spawn ships there, need assigned a loading bay), or they're like little self contained industrial sections. The box to hover in looks crap. Filling a super large ship could take 20 minutes at that rate, unless you can pay extra for more loaders to speed it alone, perhaps being able log out/in while it takes places, or do something else in the mean time at least would be cool.
You should've plummeted like a rock and crashed in an atomic fireball on Microtek when you flew down there fully loaded and not even in VTOL mode. I guess CIG hasn't got weight, gravity and thrust figured out yet.
It's the 'Dammnn' for me at 1:45 xD Sounds like the dude from the ford commercials
did you have to give them another thousand dollars for that ship?
It would be cool to play in these vehicles if they were not the fucking worst ships in the game. Another guy had a ship and it had like 5 or more gun bays that people could get in and out of but getting out you could find yourself kicked out of the ship while flying at jump speeds, you would actually expect that to kill the person who fell out of a ship, and I think the company who made the ship should have every ship they ever made confiscated and then crushed into a fine dust and told that all of the executive officers are about to be executed and then the whole corporate skyscraper blows up into trillions of little pieces and the police call in the army to nuke the building until it is no more.
so I havent watched the video yet but.. the title got me thinking.. they add a massive ship, but still havent fixed and launched the game. They are still SO FAR from being ready to launch.. its absolutely disgusting
I wish there were planetside structures where the Hull C could dock and drop off or pick up cargo - it’d be cool to have SRV assist in leaving atmo quicker when it’s fully loaded
Definitely should be loading towers at major cities or industrial sites. Kind of like the towers for zeppelins in the 30s. Could be balanced by requiring a tow ship to bring the loaded cargo ship back to space. The tower itself could also have a tractor turret to hold the ship in place while loading.
I hope they will stay true to the plan and not have large ships with such bulk able to land in atmosphere. Rather have orbital ferries that will transfer from orbit to planet for a fee. Can even be player controlled.
One thing I noticed is when in quantum flight. If you walk over the bridge connecting the two halves when it is extended. There is a spot where you do not register as being on the ship and you get yeeted out into deep space
3.20 is such a nothing of an update. Watching the Star Citizen dependent content creators desperately pretending to be excited about this absolute non-patch from a content perspective is more entertaining than the video itself.
"im sure they know about the things that need tweeking" they do, and they dont care, this is the whole scam of a game, now its just for bleeding money from people that still think it might be a thing one day
except it already is a thing and you can play it?
Ah yes, a phallic ship design that also extends. It had to happen !
But it doesn’t have all functions, like tractor beams. In fact all ships lack 10-’90% of all functions.
Damit fold your cargo platforms if they are empty before blasting through the atmosphere I can't believe that they are still not ripped off
I can’t believe how true to the concept they managed to stay. Blown away. Well done CIG
I have a ten year CD that I just cashed out, I bought it two years after Star Citizen went into development. >.o
nah dont worry mate, the stutter is from the game with 10 years of ''dev'' :)
Maaaan I can't wait for the day this game doesn't run like garbage. Can't wait to play in more than 8 FPS.
It is just me or this ship looks like a cck?
There should be high privileged, high payout missions for salvaging ships within armistice zones. It would take a bunch of rep to earn them, and if the privilege was misused, it would be taken away.
Yeah, that's what we're hoping for. Everything is so damn barebones right now.
They just need NPC ships doing it.
@@Anubis78250 From what I heard, and you know... EVENTUALLY, and all that... they want salvage missions to populate dynamically from existing wrecks; which can be picked up by NPCs or players alike.
You know, some day. Maybe. Hopefully.

Clicked on the video before the thumbnail loaded that's how intrigued I was
I've been watching Star Citizens video for years (because I have no desire to pay to be a beta tester), and one of the interesting point for me was this notion of being able to become a space privateer. Now that Starfield is out though, that itch has been scratched. Especially since it's not forced multiplayer (which I typically dislike in a game, preferring a solo immersive experience).
Also looking at the features both games provide, you can't help but see similarities. Honestly though, the fact that in Starfield you get to create your own ship and have more control over your gaming experience, that is what to me, puts it above Star Citizen, though I understand that people who play Star Citizens are likely looking for a different experience than what solo players like me want. To each their own.
You could see an exploration ship with a similar mechanic, like for solar panels or scanning things.
not sure about average customers wanting their cargo to be radioactive but whatever.... it is just a game. :D
the Hull C when its closed up looks super rad. Like if you could make custom ships, you could totally turn the Hull C into a smugglers ship, like remove the ability to extend it like that, tighten up the joints and close it up and you could turn that ship into a crazy awesome blockade runner.
Like for real, this ship better be super fast when you're closed up, cause all that engine with no cargo space, there is no way this ship is NOT fast.
I just can't but look at the HULL C's self status MFD...

You can barely catch it in the video at 24:43, but the first time you loaded up, you got 4609 out of 4608. Others have reported this issue, and if you see that, they won't load up the ship with cargo.

Looks amazing!
But fact that it has PVP and u can't use "passive mode" or something stopping me from playing this nice game)
Elite Dangerous has a closed seasons for friends only and it's reason I'm playing it, don't want to tryharding, i want to chill in game and being relaxed. Sad to see how nowadays games becoming a second job and every game devs decide to add more PVP to make your chilling impossible)
Im wandering if those cargo pads can carry snub fighters, and act as a sort of guerilla carrier like how the Caterpiller can fit the Fury in its cargo bays. Cant wait to see its applications
for all the "realism" in the game, im surprised the arms dont break off when jumping into quantum or when trying orbital airspaces. as obviously those thrusters are not made for dealing with atmospheric airspaces #1, and #2 those arms surely dont seem strong enough to hold that weight in quantum or gravity air spaces.
as the constructive amazement for what the hull c is, kind of seems like a degrading failures for every other ship. for "realism" aspect they so intently push for the game.
like is the hull-c right and every other ship wrong? or is every other ship near balance, and the hull-c a failure of a realistic construct.
as in all honesty. most cargo running ships only fill to about 280 units before locations reach max exchange capasity as current. which is about 50% of the storage for a C2 herc. so 485scu to 1490scu? whatever for. now, if the back sides of those lever arms would hold storage, and the opening arms were opening to expose solar sail pannels... i could totally see the hull-c still having about 690scu of storage internally as well as when the arms extend... as that makes 110% more sense than filling the entire space with cargo. being a method of super slow thust that accelerates over time to a speed that is faster than quantum costing no fuel. like real solar sails do. meanwhile also charging the ships core with solar protons as they reflect into the pannels. which makes sense for why the ionic fusion reactors x2 in the enginering bay looks like. gathering power from 6 arms and tramuting it to 6 power cells. as if it had 6 arms and not 8 that would make logical sense for 690scu storage as well both internally and when opened. but the hull c has 8 arms total. so the entire ship seems like a confused project result from what it "should be". but hey lets not use logic, right. i mean that isnt rocket science or video game design but what is known as quantum physics. i dont expect everyone to understand it.
end result, not for me i dont buy stupid ships that do not logically relate with physics.
The blooper reel at the end is a great addition 😁
Thanks for sticking around to the end! Hope you enjoyed the video 👍🏼
Very impressive. I recall all other physics grid work they had to do for years to get this in....wow. it is here
I tried some Hull-C trading the other day, and I'm so disappointed. If the gameplay stays as it is in the PTU now, I won't keep the ship for one second. Sure, it holds a lot of cargo, but trading with it is excruciatingly slow!
Docking at a station, buying at Admin, going out to get it loaded, docking at the next station, going in to Admin to sell, then going back out to get it unloaded, then docking again to go back to Admin to buy new stuff to take from there, then going out to get it loaded. It's painful! Why can't you call Admin from space and unload immediately? Effectively you make less money trading with the Hull-C than you do with a Caterpillar or C2, and with more effort. At the current state of the game, I see no point of using this ship.
This is awesome been looking forward to this ship significantly - BUT that blue box is horrendous, illogical and view obstructing. Its also quite unpleasant on the eyes.. >_> here's my idea - why not like a parking with nose touch on a soft physical extension thingie and floating parking lights signaling the area dimensions isntead. Like those space station runways no one is using ?? - then full halt - approve loading - 10s of drones bringing out the cargo slowly for the visuals - reflex covered cargo extension nose touch thingie retracts when done and off you can go.
Also the immediate "you have 10 mins to pickup your crap" seems very very demanding and therefore feels rushed - and not to mention the immediate vehicle impounding after loading... like what if im afk cause i have to wait that long, it should be possible to be parked for a bit after loading. a 2:00 minute countdown before i have to start moving perhaps? Also on that note - when diving down into cities or being in front of parking areas - if theres no immediate danger cause a ship is spawning in the bay - then why not use an unrisky warning for a bit before the impounding countdown happens. my point being, you have to immediately pull up and leave the area youve dived down into/parked in front of. and it might get you to crash instead of safely navigating away from said sudden danger area. and a short note on the extending of the cargo holding areas .. it looks so awesome yes, but why are they so limited ? the sheer amount of goods is very large .. so we certainly dont need more, but if you used the leftover surrounding space you could add 50% more cargo easily without making the area it occupies larger. so why in a lean/long cross configuration? The lower cross beam could easily be distributed across the sides towards the top AND you'd be able to land with the ship near outposts on flat areas AND it wouldnt mess up og over saturate the already impressive load capabilities.. theres prob very few flat and large enough places to land this in an unfolded state, agreed - but still how about for maneuvering near a space station - it'd make it easier to fly without hitting something i bet. The question really is - why is it extending so far if if could be more compressed and hold the same cargo amount? ^^ just my thoughts.
yeah and still not able to play on stable servers what a game
Imagine the Hull D and E
My only thought is.....one little punk that wants to ruin your day with an anvil arrow splitting that ship in half with a ram and you potentially losing millions worth of cargo. No thanks.
New ships aren't really an update to me anymore, just a distraction.
Star Citizen: TEST VERSION - This is an "EARLY" test build and not indicative of gameplay/content on the official live servers.
Starfield: *HAHAHAHAHAHAHA*
They charge way to much for these ships. If they were like 60 to 75 like DCS charges for their modules I would probably buy them all day.
4:33 im proud to say i laughed at exactly the same time on that one 😂😂
i think it would be amazing with this ship if you could put salvage crates from a reclaimer so it can keep salvaging while someone in a Hull C goes sell the salvage crates yknow
how much will that be sir 2,3 grand?
It's funny that we only see it now. Considering the ship has essentially been complete for like, 4 years.
I noticed more then a few things on that massive ship, while you were running and quickly inspecting the new ship. it looks like this ship sleeps 4-5 people, the space saver loo "toilet" was funny as heck, as well as the new storage area on the satellite set-up. Not really any weapons as I could see, but I am sure they are there somewhere. It does look like a super massive ship for sure. Are ALL there "updates" include a total wipe of the whole system? then start over kind of thing?
iirc only the big updates with huge tech changes cause a universe wipe, but I don't know for certain as I don't play the game (Just watch and see if it will ever reach its full potential)
the reason this doesn't make the caterpillar irrelevant is that it can't land planetside with cargo. These types of ships go between stations, and then if any of that bulk cargo needs to go down to the surface or some of it needs to go somewhere else, a caterpillar or something similar does that. And presumably there will be planets with no space stations in places like Pyro, which is where the caterpillar is probably going to shine.
Caterpillar is still cool AF no matter what. Detachable command pod, exchangeable modules
can I play this game in the test server too ?
Having played Starfield, this looks incredibly mid.

With cargo loading it would be cool if they use a little tractorbeam ships stransporting the boxes
The hull c has multiple tractor beam stations on board for this
I can't play star citizen and probably won't ever
Whenever there's a free week, the install or update bugs out

At one time I remember they were saying that they would have an app that would work like the stock market for in game investments. Did they ever do that? I'm still not playing yet. I've got to have more computer before I get in. Anyway the app was supposed to show you the "buy" and "sell" price at the different places that could do that. That way if you knew what you were doing you could buy at the cheap place and then move it across the (SC) universe and sell to the place paying highest, and you make .005 on the dollar...or whatever. THAT appealed to me instantly...but I haven't seen that it yet.
Ill have to be honest with you the Hull-C can only sell at stations at this time so you would get half the Ammount of profit made from flying to planets Capital cittys and sell there i mean it could maybe happen one day that we get Shipping station´s/ Cargo stations, where you can buy and sell, becouse we allreaddy have one flying around Daymar, but the Kraken its self would make more profit even tho it 1000 scu of cargo space less then the Hull-C, it would gather more profit since the Kraken can land on Planetarry Surfaces so i actuly see it as Unefficient later in the Game when oher ships Join the game with more Cargo space maybe.
