Loved the cushion!! I have been putting off upholstery projects because they involve zippers! hahahaha! I have never put one in. Yours was so tidy! Well done!
OMGoodness you think Nico would mind coming a bit further than usual? LOL. 🤷🏻♀️ It is indeed very organized and how wonderful that you "have lights"👏👏.... Jealous you have a washer - trying to think what I can get rid of to make room for one. Water water water that's so great. Knew the weather was changing coz he was barefooted 😂. looking superb
You guys are going great guns w6your bus. Love the finish detailing it's the same colour as what I plan to use on the Camper. Hope to catch up one day on the road somewhere. Keep it up.
Tim Klassen Thanks! 😊All our water pipes are left accessible (all those shower ones are behind the fridge) so if there are more leeks in the future it should be fairly straight forward to fix. No walls to demo.
My bus is just a tad smaller lol. (Living space 10.5x77ft). I am far from done however, I was very surprised at how much light a LUCI light can produce and it is free power! No solar yet, but I have shore power at least now. I have the 12v breaker system in, now power to it yet though. Having a smaller bus I have to be creative, my bathroom is hidden in my office!
My goodness guys this is coming together so well! Miss checking in on progress in person though (your Gilby St neighbours)! Thank god for the internet. Make sure to show us the finished Bus before leaving Chch! We’re emotionally invested in your project you know! 😊👍🏻
Did you play Alice In Chains in the background when you fix with the rubber tubes 1:20 into the movie? Wonderful to see everything put into place, good work!
Acegoo RV Boat Recessed Ceiling Light... dimmer switches that actually work with LED are hard to find, we got American Technology Components 12 Volt DC Dimmer Switch for LED, not pretty but works. All ordered from Amazon.
@@RebootLife Thanks, really appreciated. It's not easy finding good 12 V LED lights as it is, and as you say, finding a dimmer that will work reliably with them is even harder. You'd think with all the stuff coming out of china at the moment they'd have plenty of options but there are relatively few. Just looking at the dimmer unit online, I am seeing one with a slide potentiometer - is that what you have? If you don't like the look of it you can always transfer the control board to a nicer faceplate and swap the slider potentiometer for a rotary one with a nice knob on it.
We don’t need more power. We happily run everything we need off this. We have never needed to plug into mains. We do hot water and cook on gas. Why not lithium... well, price. Next time we might go with lithium though.
@@RebootLife Oh okay cool thanks, I deck cars, vans, buses, out and I had always found more power the better, but It depends what you run. I'm in the North Island of NZ tho. So you use a washer not a washer dryer yes? How do u find it? I didn't see a video of after you guys have been living in it while saying what you'd changed or not? Would you guys make one? Or am I blind and you already have one.
We are very happy with just a washing machine, no dryer. We just wash in good weather and hang stuff out to dry. Easy as. We can easily maintain our lifestyle on this kit. The panels even pull in enough solar in the middle of the raging West Coast storm we have right now to keep our battery levels safe while running the fridge and just normal use (no big draws). No need for generator even after 2 days of heavy rains.
Both of you are very talented and patient
Thanks very much for this. Everything is done with great style and attention
Cheers! 😁

Kia ora, it looks amazing. I really love the bathroom!. What wood did y'all use in the walls in the bathroom?
Thanks! We live it too. It is native New Zealand red beech. Same on all walls, and floors, of the bus.
I love watching you guys and the amazing job you are doing. I’m going to be lost when you’re finished! Thanks so much for sharing.
David Landreth Thanks! 😁 Happy to have you along for the journey!

greetings from Ireland OMG the bus (your home) looks FANTASTIC !!!
Thank you! 😃 greetings from New Zealand
You two have made great progress on the bus and leaky water parts can do lots of damage if not detected early .

We love the size of our bus! 😁 Good luck with your build! Getting the electrical hooked up was an amazing feeling!
Your Bus is coming together so well love the Natural timber. And the bathroom looks amazing! kiwi From Australia :)
Kia ora! Thanks mate! We love the beech timber too! Beyond expectations. 😊

Thanks a lot guys! 😁 We’d love to see you before we leave! PS! I got the work visa!!! Step one...
Fantastiskt 😀🤩😎
Tack!! 😁

Thanks! Ah yes, that was Alice in Chains unplugged in the background ... a bit of nostalgia. 😉
@@RebootLife Now a love you a little more ;-)
👍
Can you tell me what the brand of LED lights is that you used and where you got them from? Thanks!

Hi, why such a small power system?
How often do you charge? ( off 240v)
What was the deciding factor on not going lithium?
We don’t need more power. We happily run everything we need off this. We have never needed to plug into mains. We do hot water and cook on gas. Why not lithium... well, price. Next time we might go with lithium though.

@@RebootLife nice that's pretty good, what do u get per hour from the solar do you know?
Sorry, don’t have those numbers for you.
