@@KasumiRINAI think it's less hitting the wrong string as it is fingering the notes well to get the not cleanly and evenly compared to other notes, not fumbled together as a sloppy player may do but with the distortion noise the fumble is amongst that noise.
@@squaredcircle1111 Fumbling with distortion sounds very muddy with cringy dissonance. So unless you play in a wall-of-sound band there is nowhere to hide, distortion or not. Nothing as annoying as a muddy fuzz unless that's your thing.
Distortion always exagerrates details, everything becomes much more sensitive. It's harder to play heavely distorted and you have to be more critical to unperfections. Imagine it as crunking sound of everything up.
Even if you don't play that style of music on a regular, you should always have a small tid bit of it in your back pocket. Example, I myself don't usually play classic rock as in more of a slipknot, lamb of god, avenged sevenfold, ect kind of player however it's nice to rip out the back in black intro or even spoke sabbath out. I would unironically listen to an album of this
Guthrie Govan’s Erotic Cakes album kinda scratches that itch imo. Especially the song Wonderful Slippery Thing
Jazz fusion is your friend
Check out Alex Skolnick's (Lead guitar from Testament) solo stuff, is basically this.
Jazz Fusion is definitely what you're looking for. Check out Marbin.
Al Di Meola.

The to helfire solo sounds really jazzy clean
nah not at all
It's the way he played it, his skill did that, although metal and jazz aren't super far from each other.

A clean tone will really show all your mistakes. This guy is a master of his craft. I’m blown away 😮
Why won't people stop with this myth? Even try touching the wrong string with distortion, everyone will hear it.

Lorna Shore and jazz.
You are a f@cking Genius!

Lorna & Jazz - Soft Hellfire
MY FINAL BREATH SWALLOWED BY THE WOMB OF JAZZ.
funniest shit I've ever seen, almost spilled my tea, thanks
I processed it so long 😅
I was waiting on the drop when he stops at the end lol
Just casually rips out the solo to "Into The Hell Fire". Man this was nasty. Dude would be a permanent member after that
To The Hellfire*
@@mitchellmckay7302LMAO
Actually there was quite a bit of Jazz in the 70s and 80s that sounded like this. ❤❤❤
any recommendations?
there is a 2012 band that sounds like this
@thomas.thomas 'thank you scientist'. They make jazz fusion

No way bro just played the To The Hellfire solo, good combination with Lorna Shore and Jazz.
I can just hear at the end "MY FINAL BREATH.....SWALLOWED BY THE WOMB OF DEATH"
I've said once and i'll say it 10000 times this is the best series of shorts in all youtube!❤
🙏😁
I never thought i would immediately recognize the solo without distortion
This has no business working so well.
Jesus that run was clean af

I like how the solo ends in a tritone. Even in jazz, that feeling like you are going to die in a moshpit is still there. \m/
To be fair, tritones are a part of jazz too! Jazz has roots in blues and the minor blues scale has a tritone in it.
Jazz actually uses the tritone way more than metal, jazz harmony is full of tritones

Lorna shore + jazz goes FUCKING HARD
We need a Necrophagist version! Epitaph, Diminished to B or Fermented offal discharge would be incredible!
The pre breakdown got me 😂😂
Idk what I'm more surprised about: the awesomeness of jazz arrangement of the song, or the fact that a jazz musician character recognised Lorna Shore.

Best short I’ve seen awhile 👍🏽
That was a freaking tasty lick ... Jazz or not it worked nicely ..
That oddly goes amazingly well together 🤔
Awesome! With the last note before the breakdown!
Crazy good and super funny! Congratulations!
That. Is spicy.
I'd listen to multiple albums' worth of smooth jazzmetal.

I've been trying to learn this solo recently and have been struggling playing even with distortion this is a new level of clean. Great playing!
That sounded amazing!!
LOVE these every time😂😂😂😂
The accuracy it takes to play this this clean is unreal, the end has my dying lol
Lorna shore solos still be fire in jazz damn
The jazz band teacher at my high school learned this the hard way.
The slower parts between the shredding are beautiful and work really well
And that kids, is how jazz fusion was invented 👌
DUDE THIS WAS THE MOST AWESOME SHIT TO STUMBLE UPON!!!! Love me some Lorna Shore!
This sounds great!
Literally an out of body experience holy shit
Was NOT expecting that
I need to hear the still got the blues solo in a clean tone over, basically, an autumn leaves
