I bought a 2022 Tacoma sport with a full size bed. I went with a flip cover, but your review is making me question my decision. Can't wait to see more!!!
After my Bakflip cover got pry into, I went with a Diamondback. The chrome one is a great theif deterant visually because they can see that its made of metal.
These are one of the best covers I’ve used the only problem I have with it is when spend $2,500 i wont to have stainless steel washers on the aluminum I bought and replaced all of them for $10 from amazon I would pay the little extra for diamondback to do it at the factory
My biggest concern with any cover is reliably waterproof. I wish there was one that was that way. You make it sound like this one is if you do that extra seal work. Is that the case? Are you aware of any others, if so which? Also, something I didn't expect but love. I've wanted a non fabric cover, likely segmented that could be moved out of the way or taken off easily and put back on, so I could use the inside of the bed say for fold up chairs and hanging out. No need with this one, with that weight capacity, I'd have the entire outside top cover surface as usable living space, not just storage or rack space. Love it!
I wish they could find a way to move the openers to the side so you can get a sheet of plywood on top nice and flat and also make them easier to open in snow country. Would also be awesome if they could be compatible with Magnum racks - the best truck rack out there.
Agreed, although a couple 2x4’s work great to clear the handles and hinges. Fortunately more and more racks are becoming compatible with the Diamondback.
Just wondering, I have ordered the same system you have. Diamondback HD cover with the Decked system. I believe the weight of the cover plus the deck system is about 300 pounds. Did you add a leaf spring to your suspension? How much did your truck sag after everything was installed? Thank you…

I ordered my HD and I can’t wait to get it!

The perfect cover for those pick up owners that really only needed a small car

Why the decked and the diamondback?
Do you regret doing the decked system and a tonneau cover. It looks like it kills the useful amount of space under the cover?
If you flip the tailgate cover 180 degrees - can you drive with it like that at slow speeds?

@@livingsurvival Excellent idea Ben. Enjoying your videos, thank you for doing!
@@heathmarsden2288 We just launched a new design of the top items including the hinges and locks. They are now less of a protrusion!

Thank you…
My truck isn’t sagging but I am adding new leafs when I do suspension.
Hey Ben what’s doing how is everything after the Tree fell. I am loving the Diamond back looking to get one for my ford F 150
Got it mostly cleaned up. I’d put one of these covers on any truck I owned.
Were you sponsored? You bought the truck but what about the other stuff?
Can you drive it with the back half flipped over?
I have the same question.

Nicely done amigo
Definitely a heavy duty piece of kit.
That's pretty kool
They've priced themselves out of the market.
It’s worth twice what a soft cover is worth.
What's the equivalent alternative?
Got to wait many weeks and pricing is ridiculous!
They ship within a week and IMO worth twice what a soft cover is.
