There's a tool from lisle Tools 47000 that really makes that job much easier for installation. Great video. I also heard you helped a lot of people on power tour!!

Oh thank you! I’ll look for that tool! And yes, it was a great learning experience for my son to bring his mobile welding gear with him on Power Tour! Helped a lot of people. ☺️

One of my favorite channels. You all aren't far from me. I live outside of Richmond Indiana but I use to live in Indy. Anyway I wish your videos came out sooner because I saw the blazer during powertour and kinda wondered when did you guys ls swapped it and now I know way after powertour lol! Great content. Can't wait for the next video!

Thanks! Yeah I’ve got a pretty busy full time job and it’s difficult to keep up on videos. Am trying to do better.

You guys killed it with the wire tuck, looks great! Definitely worth the extra time to make it look like that!

I dont see the transmission jack... that trans needs to be jacked up to floorboards when lining up motor... i usually get a few bellhousing bolts in then lower trans jack and motor to set in clam shells

Looks good. I like the clean engine bay. I dont like the look when people detail engine and dont touch engine bay

Beautiful orange paint on the engine

I’ve seen people use some sort of rope to set the windshield. Edit: I guess that’s a different style. I didn’t realize there were varied styles. Glad I know that nugget of knowledge.
Congrats on the new glass. One of my pet peeves is trying to see through a dirty or cracked windshield. Same with my glasses or sunglasses! Lol

That’s a neat little gadget you have to tilt the engine while installing the engine. Is that manifold made of plastic? You handle it like it’s so light.

Yeah that tilter I think was from Harbor Freight? And yes, it’s plastic.

What all do you have to use for wiring up ls...I have 89 k5 no wiring its pretty bare...also are you guys using the original clam shells for mounting motor...would you happen to have the list illustration on a vlog...

The wiring we used for the LS swap itself is all Holley Terminator X Max. The rest of the wiring is factory Blazer. The previous video we mentioned the engine mounts we used but yes, we used factory (new) clamshell mounts with LS block adaptor mounts on the engine side from Holley.

I used dingo mounts on my 78 blazer. I needed the adjustability due to replacing the transmission, transfer case and drive shafts. a few other parts are also needed when doing it that way. Like an 80s shift linkage for the 4l60e or 700r4. The transmission shifter linkage is so close it looks the same but the slight difference makes a lot of difference. The transfer case linkage was also 80s and basically needed a little modification.

Do the electrical, computer systems cause a lot of trouble?
