Nice video Brett. The A500 Mini is my favourite of the mini machines. I'm hoping they do a full size with working keyboard, like they did for The C64

Until they do. it will be bit of "half 'n'half.".
I already have Amiga Forever & C64 Forever, so this thing could b a waste of money, but you can't go past the design.. They created that perfectly. Right down to the smallest detail...
Perhaps would been good to have a little cardboard sleeve inserted as the original one did. but that's just a nit pik. Since the mini is fake visually they could have the cardboard in the "floppy drive" and build around it.

I prefer a product i can actually buy.

Yeah I'm not a fan of Joypads either for the Amiga, I'll just stick to my old Quickshot Python.
Luckily I've still got my A1200 with an 030@50 I bought back in '92 after selling my A500 👍

Bit strange you have cannot use the mouse in setup/Options. That would just suit more than gamepad buttons. I love the LEDs lit up.... though, on the A500 mini,
😆 i always like those comparisons... One giant HDMI display, and a small A500 mini. I always reckon that would always be the 'perfect setup' to fool your friends.
I think the mouse/game-pad cords are long (on purpose). Since its all just visually appealing, i think they designed it so it's meant to be placed below the display, then sit quite a-way back to play. If display is large you don't need to sit that close. Otherwise the cords would be shorter by default.
Even my 22' Toshiba, i sit about 3 meters away to watch TV.

Have you tried running Pandory emulation from a USB? It’s not perfect, BUT CAN EMULATE C64 and other retro consoles. It has Quake with the Gamepad set up out the box, has Scumm vm and run most Nintendo consoles. As for Amiga games, there are some nice home brews you can run from usb, such as a new Bombjack and Ooze. Couldn’t get the Speccy to run and a few others. It’s not bad, just has some issues. I’d like to see a Carousel editor such as on the C64 maxi, the Maxi Tool. Great PD games include Tetris Pro and Cabinet Asteroids.
