WHAT??!?!?! Whoever made this video has no idea about pricing. These prices are nowhere NEAR the actual prices some of these cigars are sold for. You can buy an Opus X from anywhere 15 to 30 dollars are most stores in the US. Sorry.
You are aware there are different variations of the cigar? The cheapest one in the UK is 21£ however you have other options. Depending on age tobaccoo etc. The more expensive ones go for 250£+.
@@stoyanstavrev8026 there are not different variations of the Opus X Lost City that I'm aware of. They come in different sizes maybe, but they all retail for around $40-50 USD.

Yeah, it shows that cigar smoking in moderation is actualy a relativeley inexpensive hobby. The upper half of the list are just silly gimics like throwing gold and diamonds at it, buying literal historic artefacs or Nr4 is actualy a relativeley good deal (getting 1000 custom made cigars +1 additional rare cigar means that you get cigars from a famous producer for about 52 bucks a piece). Also, in my opinion as a purist aficionado, infusuions (most Ghurka cigars have them to artificialy raise the price by wasting expensive alcohol) actualy result in a reduction of the tobaccos quality and taste. Cant stand it. If i want to pair my cigar with a certain bevarage or food flavor then i drink/eat them while smoking the cigar instead of tainting both of the products purities. All of those cigars that are somewhat justified to be expensive (limited, aged and certain production year -like it is with wine some years the tobacco is better than in others) like the BHK 52 anniversary are still below 500 bucks. However, flavor wise i wouldnt recommend buying anything above 100 bucks. For example a normal BHK 52 you can get for 50 bucks. And who knows, if you put something like that in your humidor and 5-10 years later (during the aging process) the high end cigar stores realize that this specific year was a really good year, then you might also be in the possession of a stick worth a few hundred bucks. Cohiba has also sticks that are in the 20 buck range if you want to get the cohiba taste. And Cohibas (same goes for new world high end cigars and their counter parts) are not that much better and different than certain other cubans which are often much cheaper (like montechristo, partagas, h upman or romeo y julieta- all top tier cigars). Thats the beauty of cigar smoking, you get fresh cigars (including limited anniversary editions) of even the high end brands like cohiba, montechristo, partagas and so on for affordable prices and you can age them yourself to top tier cigars if you have patience and a proper humidor system in place (smoking your aged ones and periodically refiling new ones which you only touch after they have been aged). And getting that started is inexpensive too, you just need to buy something thats 100% spanish cedar and isnt too cheap to break or malfunction. I got a pretty large (up to 200 cigars) cedar wood humidor for a mere 150 bucks and its extremeley efficient with its boveda pack (2-way humidification is just the best for mold prevention and its the least troublesome to use) consumption therefore the run cost is next to nothing.

If you enjoy cigars, and had one of these once in a lifetime priced cigars, you would compare every cigar after to that one because it costs so much. May not even be the best cigar you ever have. The current most expensive cigar it's not a Gurkha, but one that I blended and created myself valued at $1,000,000,000.99 but if you call in the next 15 minutes it could be yours for only 1,500,000 + 999,000,000 for shipping and handling.😳
It would have been nice to know where the tobacco was sourced from in many of those ridiculously priced cigars. I thought the list as kind of a gimmick. Cigars infused with fine liquors, or wrapped in gold, or an exotic wood humidor doesn't do much for me. I'm only interested in pure tobacco of excellent quality. However, this list was interesting to watch.
