Scottish Whisky and Irish Whiskey.....and distilled not brewed! PLEASE!!
Perhaps most expensive whiskeys/ spirits from each country?
I suggest you guys delete this hilariously wrong video and do some proper research about all sorts of crap you tell in this one.
Brewed, call it whiskey, call single malts blends, every shot is some kind of liquor on the rocks, probably not even whisky, and so on.
Really sad and hilarious at the same time, or do you call this fake news?
Talks about scotch, shows a picture of a bunch of irish whiskys
lol that cracked me up as well
actually , the first pic was Basil Hayden
lol and they say brewed consistently, even though spirits are distilled
Everytime I see a Lux video on this channel, it proves money can't buy brains lol
lol
I noticed that too.
The mispronunciation and misinformation presented in this video is mind-numbingly painful.

😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Irish whiskey is spelt with an E and Scottish no E and the Irish Whiskey is older than the Scottish
Firstly Whisky is never brewed. Its a distilled spirit!
Beer is brewed
And single malt whisky means its a whisky only made up of 100% barley(not any grain) from 1 single distillery.
BTW its pronounced as (Glenfiddik)
Dalmore trinitas is a single malt not a blend!
If the different casks are from the same distillery the its not called a blend.
Dhrumil Modi a lot of people pronounced that wrong!!! Even professional... I can’t believe... But I don’t care!
yes Dhrumil you are right, but first understand what is brewing, when germinated grain is dried, mashed and steep in water and then heated up to make a mash, in the production of beer we just add hops to it and this is the only thing that is different in the production of beer and whiskey, till the process of fermentation. So we are using the exact same method so we can say that whiskey is brewed, fermented and then distilled.
and aged 50 years means the youngest whisky in the bottle is 50 years old not the whole thing. And one person pointed out :"Talks about scotch, shows a picture of a bunch of irish whiskys".
when people talk about a topic they have no idea about and the commits rip them apart for being stupid. haha love it.
Dhrumil Modi Whiskey is Brewed, fermented, distilled, and then aged in a barrel. The grains used and the way they are prepared determines the type of whiskey. And to take it even further, the type of barrel used plays a factor in what whiskey is being made. To say that whiskey is NEVER brewed is not necessarily true.
This is woefully and horribly inaccurate.
Scottish single malt is typically distilled twice.
Why?
@@ryanfindlay599 the figures are all over the place and the very most expensive whiskies aren't there.
@@Sidmacher thanks 😊
facebook.com/Whiskey_shop7-106691448044263/
I would buy to drink, and as soon as possible. At 81 years my time could be close and want to experience more of the best in life before I go.
Something mass produced for all the rich people in the world is not something special or probably even good. You need to find something local, some small quality produced whiskey unique in the world. And its probably not even going to be that expensive.
Hru man
Cheers ✌️
U alive?
Are u still alive mate
“Scotch is from Scotland”
*shows Jameson*
...oopps..🤣🤣
The Jameson family were scottish, believe or not…
Irish Whiskey is Better.
So many mistakes in this vid. Maybe try to do some actual research on a topic besides binge reading a bunch of Buzzfeed articles.
And I love how they spelled it "whiskey", showed Irish whiskey, talk about the most expensive whiskys while showing booze poured over ice, etc.
So come on, ALUX. Try a little harder.
yeah....they got the term single malt and age statement all wrong too.
You must be a complete idiot to drink one of these expensive whiskys. If a whisky is more than 25 years old, it's decreasing in quality (well, most whiskys are), it's over the top. And of course pooring your whisky over icecubes kills your whisky.
Whiskey is typically Irish and American, Whisky is everything else. Just a marketing thing really. I did laugh that they showed 10 bottles of Irish whiskey when talking about Scotch. So many inaccuracies, its like a car crash, i cant stop watching.
@@robertjordan1569 Glenlivet is irish since when? Macellen is irish since when? Confused how all 10 could be irish. One was a rye, which is not an irish style either.
Michael Bauers there was a picture at the beginning of the video showing a bunch of bottles of Irish as the narrator was talking about scotch.
If they're this inaccurate with a topic as old as Whiskey, I would argue against the quality of the rest of their videos.
a bottle of Macallan Valerio Adami was sold last October in Edinburgh (Bonhams auctions) for a mind blowing 848.750 British pound. The whiskey was distilled in 1926 and bottled in 1986.
amazing
I’m always impressed how Alux make videos about things I have recently search for. Looks like Google ads 😂. Good job!
Being able to drink all of these would be one of my very few indulgences if I were stupidly rich.
An American talking about whiskey. Like Ronald McDonald talking about salad.
🏴🇮🇪🤮
You do not “brew” whiskey.
shes reading a script.....
Technically you do brew the wort
I know she is reading a a script
Distillers beer
it would seem that many people don’t know how whiskey is made. Because the wort is indeed brewed. Same process as beer, but after fermentation, it’s distilled, and then aged in a barrel. 🤦🏼♂️
I have in my collection a vintage bottle of American made Night Train fine wine which was aquired in Baltimore Maryland in 1987.
One of those bottles could pay off my student loans.
Most expensive bottle of whiskey I bought was around $70, really puts it in perspective

LOL

When I buy a good bottle of whiskey 🥃 it’s definitely to drink it and enjoy.

Macallan M 6L sold for $633,000,and Yamazaki Single Malt 50 years sold for $337,500 are more expensive then your top 1 and top 2's.
so apparently the bottle of yamazaki that sold for 300,000 $ isn't on the list..
This entire time I’m waiting to see Blue label on the list lol
Yeah right! Not going to happen.
Lol that is good stuff though
Macallan 57 yrs is atleast worth 117.000$ and currently selling for around 200.000$ at the marina bay sands. Maybe you could include this one in the list!
Im going to start distilling my beers since brewing is interchangeable.
Use apple juice for hard cider
Makes Pappy Van Winkle look affordable.
Not up there, but an incredible character filled whiskey can be found in the Knob Creek brand.
I’d drink them all 😊
I just poured myself a glass of water, im only 16.
Just keep living...
I am a fan of Scotch Whiskys especially from Islay.
Awesome thanks for the informations!!
Nothing better than a good single malt and a nice cigar .!!!! Cheers .!!!
Number 2 sounds like the best one. The first one got price increased for charity and the bottle. The second must have such a complex taste
facebook.com/Whiskey_shop7-106691448044263/
A lot of people don’t understand a few things:
Whiskey: American/Irish spelling.
Whisky: Scottish spelling.
Also whiskey is indeed brewed before it is distilled. Before distillation if they added hops to the brew it would be beer.
The product of the brewed stage is not whisky, it is wort.
Awesome informational educational video experience Y'alls God Bless Ya 🙏
0:56 "Brewed" oh my...
The pronunciation in this commentary is awful.
got triggered on Balvenie and Glenfiddich parts....
My throat also hurts now
Was a little shocking that a production company that claims the “future billionaire” moniker would fail so hard on pronunciation
Well that was the most inaccurate video on whiskys I've ever watched!
Thank you!
I believe in the"medicine"😜😘😋😂😂
Alux - the place where overly pretentious snobs, overnight billionaires get inspired. #Cringe
I am just a blue collar blocke ho wants to buy whisky to Store it and hope to make a buck or two down the line
But if i make big money some day i think about truning in to a snob🤣
The “Single Malt” in scotch is not a descriptive phrase. Each word means something on its own. Single means that its been distilled by one distillery, not blended from products of multiple distilleries.
Malt, means that its distilled from one grain only, usually barley.
Scotch is Good. But there is a massive variety of Irish Whiskey and good stuff at a price that will not break the bank! :D
Definitely would not stash away. It’s a must have because life...
It’s not priceless when you’ve got the price paid on screen.

We must taste the expensive whisky, because before we die, we should enjoy rest of our lives. Because after death, God knows what should happen with us
so many inaccuracies in this video that I don't even know where to start.
The 50 year Balvenie didn’t distill or 50 years, it was in the barrel for 50 years. 🤨
Correct
I’ve had allocated scotch and still can’t stand it, but I like whiskey in general
I may be wrong, but you did not mention the Macallan Peter Blake 1926, which sold for $1.1 million U.S dollars
I would like to taste one of these One day.
You can do it! just sell your house and buy a bottle of these whiskey ......... :P
@Bad Cattitude Only works if you dont known shit about whiskey or wine.
Good luck 😉
Somebody get in a bar and ask for a scotch , he drink and ask for a second one, then he ask the bill. It's "only" 24,000 $. Before the client start to ask why it' s so expensive, the barman say :nuts ,olive and chips comes free on duble ordination . What do you answered to the barman ??
How can you distill without water?!? You know what happens to a mash bill that doesnt have water? IT STAYS DRY! So tell me Alux, how is this possible?
0:10 “Welcome future billionaires.”
Me with my -$2.50 bank account balance
(`•_•’) “...go on”
I am a collector of fine whisky! I enjoy consuming as well!
If I had that money I would buy 2 of each bottle, one to drink one to keep
Macallan Valerio Adami. Sold for 848,750 pounds. Its the costliest whiskey sold so far.
Macallan is Whisky,not whiskey!!

Wow here i thought i spent a fortune last year on a bottle of Aredbeg uigeadail at $100
"The Irish don't use an "e" in Whisky"? Who the hell did their research for this?
I beg to differ Phillip go have a look.
@@jamesneeson9825 I think you should have a second look at my post, I used quotes ..The standard spelling of Whisky in Ireland is with an e.....
They spell tire - tyre too but you spell it based on how you learned in your country of origin. I'm American and spell it with an e too. Get over it!
@@gofigure84 You totally missed the point. I am taking a jab at the research done for this video. It claims the Irish don't use the letter e in whisky but they do. It is the Scots that don't use the letter e in Whisky. Anyone with a basic knowledge of whisky knows this. There is nothing to get over here.
@@gofigure84 The Irish gave whiskey to the world.
We still use it to sedate internal wounds 😂😂
Didn't even try to keep count of how many mistakes were in this video.
I tried $30 -$200 whisky and they all taste almost the same to me.
STAAAAAAAAP!!!! The pronunciation is giving me the dry boak.
Single Malts
Tumblers with ice ...
I cant even.
No a copita glass with a drop of water
What does ice matter?
The CH in Glenfiddich is certainly not pronounced that way. It's an unvoiced "H".
Agreed
It's not pronounced the way she did, but the "H" is not unvoiced as such - "ch" has a specific pronunciation in Scottish words, which many non-Scots seem to have bother with, or don't attempt.
@@alanj9391 Also lock and loch.
Glenfiddich and Loch both finish with ch but the i added to ch and the o to ch are so different .
I would drink directly from the bottle
The macallan 1926 60 year old was sold late 2018 for around £848,750
I have an unopened chinese rice liquor brewed back in 1294. Gonna' drink it now.
If I had the money I would buy whiskey to enjoy.
I spend all that money on 🍺 beers 🍻 instead of one bottle of whiskey😜😝😍😍
I read about a bottle of macallan 72 year old selling for $150,000 AUD at a dan Murphy's
Stop putting ice in expensive whiskey.
Why? The best way to drink whiskey is however you like to drink whiskey. There is no wrong way. The only people that think that there is a right and wrong way are snobs. If someone wants to pay $50k plus and mix it with ginger ale then cheers. They are still enjoying whiskey. That is all the matters. Enjoying it.
I would do both for me and my family after the struggles and success of that family owned business… toast for the success after the long years of hard work 😎
Sorry, but ice cubes in Whiskey is a NOGO for a real connaisseur, thereby you lost a lot of credibility for the rest of your video 🤢
The best way to drink whiskey is how you like to drink whiskey. The only people that think there is a right and wrong way to drink it are snobs.
@@gofigure84 You are exactly correct, thank you.
I hate whisky snobs (like walter up there) who think they are some sort of whisky "expert" or "connaisseur". Or think whisky should be some sort of pretentious drink.
I have worked in the whisky industry for years, tried easily 1000+ in total and sold well over £1 million retail price in total bottles of every brand. I hold industry qualifications, have worked for several brands at various events, Hosted hundreds of training and tasting events and even helped create my own single cask expression of makers mark private select. (I'm one of only a handful of people in the UK who has EVER done so)
I'd consider myself a journeyman at best. I know several dozen different brand ambassadors who each know as much as I and are easily as experienced as I. Not one would call themselves a "connaisseur".
Truth be told unless you have a PHD in chemical engineering (or something similar) with a couple decades experience in a distillery, your not an expert. And if you do fit those requirements, I can basically guarantee that they wouldn't say something as stupid or pretentious as "ice cubes in a whisky is a NOGO". I would know, I've gone drinking with several of them. Everyone of them has enjoyed a good whisky cocktail and not one of them thought whisky should be pretentious.
Rant over.
Whiskey drinker here. Wow! I can't believe my eyes... Cheers!
🥃😂🥃🥃🥃
That was amazing.
Tried Johnny Walker Blue label last week. Immensely tasty for 150$ a bottle. Best use of my hard earned dollar.
Wow you got that bottle cheap!
Dalmore is a brand that looks exquisite and is affordable on top of the luxurious
Nice lineup
Does the sun going down qualify as a special occasion? Asking for a friend…..
Enjoy! I didn’t save my wife for the next guy and not my whiskey either. Lol
So, drinking Johnnie Walker Blue Label makes me look like a peasant now...
Sorry to SAY!!! YES!!!!! Johnny Blue is a Crap Blend. That is why there is no age to it? It was marketed to the Japanese about 40 yrs ago
$100,000 for the George Washington Rye? only if he distilled it himself would i buy it.
that no1 spot knocked me sideways!!!! UNBELIEVABLE!!!
I would definitely enjoy a glass from each bottle before putting it away so I can understand why I spent so much for it.

Johnny Walker's Black is nice.
Well I'm not into alcohol, but very interesting

Such expensive wiskeys, then they show how to ruin them by pouring into ice SMH....
Kelz Pinero i know right...
Could you be more of a snob? The best way to drink whiskey is how you like to drink whiskey! There is no wrong way or bad way. Taste is too subjective to claim there is.
Worth buying two carrier bags aswell.
Add it to my special bar 🍸
Definitely buy to enjoy my whiskey 😊🥃
I have the money...I drink it!!! Just to say I did!!
In the first clip talking about scotch whiskey you showed 9 bottles of Irish whiskey
Can anyone tell me the name of the drink in thumbnail?
I would buy whiskey bottles to enjoy them........
To take the snobbery out of all of this, I have the last quart jar of whiskey made by a bootlegger in Southern Appalachia who made liquor for 72 consecutive years with his family's 150 year old recipe. This man was also a close personal friend and to me this jar of un-bonded whiskey is priceless. It's also the finest whisky I've ever tasted in my 66 years on earth.
Hey boy! Tryna get my hands on some of that whiskey, hears the deal ill fight ya for it. We can meet up at any ramdom McDonalds squabble it out winner takes the drink now ya in or ya in?
The Irish gave the world Whiskey.
imagine dropping a bottle
You missed The Yamazaki 35 year old single malt whisky, you can buy for £99,750, on Amazon.
Easy way to remember how to spell whisk(e)y:
If the country has an "e" in it's name, it's spelled with an e.
I'd enjoy the bottle of whiskey with friends.
