      Brewed, call it whiskey, call single malts blends, every shot is some kind of liquor on the rocks, probably not even whisky, and so on.
      Really sad and hilarious at the same time, or do you call this fake news?

    Firstly Whisky is never brewed.Its a distilled spirit!
    Beer is brewed
    And single malt whisky means its a whisky only made up of 100% barley(not any grain) from 1 single distillery.
    BTW its pronounced as (Glenfiddik)
    Dalmore trinitas is a single malt not a blend!
    If the different casks are from the same distillery the its not called a blend.

    • @kushaljoon8333
      @kushaljoon8333 6 лет назад +3

      yes Dhrumil you are right, but first understand what is brewing, when germinated grain is dried, mashed and steep in water and then heated up to make a mash, in the production of beer we just add hops to it and this is the only thing that is different in the production of beer and whiskey, till the process of fermentation. So we are using the exact same method so we can say that whiskey is brewed, fermented and then distilled.

      Dhrumil Modi Whiskey is Brewed, fermented, distilled, and then aged in a barrel. The grains used and the way they are prepared determines the type of whiskey. And to take it even further, the type of barrel used plays a factor in what whiskey is being made. To say that whiskey is NEVER brewed is not necessarily true.

    Malt, means that its distilled from one grain only, usually barley.

    You guys don't know much about whiskey, do you?
    1. You call it "whiskey" yet you insist finest comes from Scotland where it is called whisky.
    2. "Most of the finest whiskey is known as Scotch whiskey". Well, whiskey is Scotch because it comes from Scotland, not because it is fine whiskey. Also, there are fine whiskeys from around the world -- Ireland, US and even Japan.
    3. You show it exclusively on the rocks. This was the only way I thought you can drink whiskey and for many years I would not drink whisky because with ice it is just strong alcohol, watered, with no taste. If you get good whiskey you get it because you want to taste it, don't water it down and don't dull your senses by making it cold. I mean, there is nothing wrong drinking it on the rocks but teach people you can enjoy it other ways, too.
    4. Whiskey is distilled, not brewed. Yeah, it is also brewed, but the places where it is being produced are called distilleries not breweries.
    5. Some whiskeys are expensive but not necessarily because they are better than other, cheaper whiskeys. Whiskey is about preference and some cheaper whiskeys are perfectly good and very enjoyable. Aged and rare whiskeys are expensive because they are hard to obtain. For people who know whiskeys and want to taste something new they need find more and more rare whiskeys to find variety. Layman person trying old or rare whiskey may not necessarily enjoy it as they are frequently kept for their demanding flavor profile that requires trained palate to enjoy.
    6. Whiskey is not decanted. Decanting wine has very specific purpose, to remove sediment and to expose it to oxygen. Whiskey does not have sediment and exposure to oxygen only causes detorioration.
    7. Again, every single shot shows whiskey on the rocks. Guys... really?

    • @gofigure84
      @gofigure84 4 года назад +2

      You forgot to mention the main reason Scotch and Irish whiskeys are usually atop the most expensive list. The longer a whiskey is aged the less there is do to angels share, therefore there is a need for a higher price to still carry a profit. This is reference with the first whiskey. They only get 88 bottles out of a barrel after 50 years.
      How sweet it would be to work at the distillery at 20 and barrel some whiskey and then open the barrel and drink the fruits of your labor at 70 straight from the cask.

      @@gofigure84 You are exactly correct, thank you.
      I hate whisky snobs (like walter up there) who think they are some sort of whisky "expert" or "connaisseur". Or think whisky should be some sort of pretentious drink.
      I have worked in the whisky industry for years, tried easily 1000+ in total and sold well over £1 million retail price in total bottles of every brand. I hold industry qualifications, have worked for several brands at various events, Hosted hundreds of training and tasting events and even helped create my own single cask expression of makers mark private select. (I'm one of only a handful of people in the UK who has EVER done so)
      I'd consider myself a journeyman at best. I know several dozen different brand ambassadors who each know as much as I and are easily as experienced as I. Not one would call themselves a "connaisseur".
      Truth be told unless you have a PHD in chemical engineering (or something similar) with a couple decades experience in a distillery, your not an expert. And if you do fit those requirements, I can basically guarantee that they wouldn't say something as stupid or pretentious as "ice cubes in a whisky is a NOGO". I would know, I've gone drinking with several of them. Everyone of them has enjoyed a good whisky cocktail and not one of them thought whisky should be pretentious.
      Rant over.

Produced since 1796 and was favored by George Washington around or at that year, popular beyond all others in the 19th century, and a favorite in the 20th century. What the 21st century holds for this most disquest Bourbon maker is hopeful for increased sales and distribution.
