The Hands Of Plasencia | How Cigars Are Made - Plasencia Cigar Brand (DOCUMENTARY)

- Опубликовано: 15 май 2024
- From seed to cigar, every Plasencia cigar takes up to fifteen years to create and goes through a 537 step process - all of which is done 100% by hand.
The Hands of Plasencia is an intimate look into the people behind the brand and their process of creating an ultra premium cigar. Dave Hill of Hug Club Cigars visits the farm and factory to see how it’s all done. From organic composting, harvesting, aging, sorting, fermenting, rolling, and packaging, this a comprehensive behind-the-scenes look into how cigars are made.
Located in Estelí, Nicaragua, Plasencia Cigar Brand is the only cigar label to offer an organic cigar.
“You can have the best tobacco, the best land, the best climate, but If you don’t have the right human talent, you won’t have a good quality product.”

What an incredible fascinating video! Thank you very much! I don’t really smoke a lot of Placencia, but this video definitely makes me go out and try another one. Great job!❤
We liked them before we filmed this. Then we LOVED them after. The Alma Fuerte Solomon is unbelievable.
@@longbeachfilmcompanyso flavor ful my mind can't even process it
I got into cigars during covid. Started off with the flavored garbage. Now I have a list of absolutely incredible cigars I love. They are the best investment I've ever made into myself. Its my yoga, a part of my weekly routine. A ritual of mine. I will smoke cigars until my last dying breath.
Post your list please
What are your favorites?
Dude I did the exact same thing lol. I can’t believe I didn’t get into this way sooner in life
@@mattknickmeier9428 that’s awesome to hear that others got into it too. Smoke on!

Plasencia wasn't on my radar before I came across this video but have already located a shop near me that sells them. Can't wait to try one!
Bravo!

🙌🏼🔥🔥🙌🏼 I can never get enough of these videos. I would watch them 247. Fantastic production, bravo.
We have so much footage that didn’t make it into the film, we’ve been thinking about releasing longer “uncut” scenes of the different parts of the process. Let us know if ya think there’s a demand for that.
@@longbeachfilmcompany that would be great watching!!
This was so good. Thank you
Thanks for watching! Hopefully more to come soon…
Beautifully made!
Thank you very much! Glad ya enjoyed it. Hopefully more to come…
Amazing production. The essence of the cigar world!
Thank you! It was just three of us wearing all the hats. 🫠
It’s still amazing how a cigar can touch 300 hands and only cost $10-15 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
Amazing documentary! Worth some award for short video.
Ha! We accept!
Actually a great! Video… great video. One of the better ones on RUclips.

🎩
Glad you enjoyed it!
This is the best video I've seen for a while about the process of how a cigar is made. I hope I can get one box of each type of this family brand cigar. Thank you for this video, and I hope to see more. A box of each cigar on my birthday, please chuckling. 18th April
Subscriber #100 right here. Thank you for the video.
Ha! Thank you. Your t-shirt is in the mail 😂
Excellent effort. This will be a big one in time.
Thank you! Yeah - a fun little film that turned out better than we expected.
Excellent cigar didn’t know the story behind them but I knew once I had my first it was special.
Very nice vid and for me one of the best cigar brands 👍🏻🙏🏻
Thank you! They were top ten before we filmed and now they’re top two.
They have this down to a science. Great video.
It’s both Art and Science.
Agree with everyones comment on the production. Fantstic
Thank you very much! Shoutout to our colorist - Grimace Films - for making it sumptuous.
Great video! Please make more like this on Plasencia!
Ha! We’d love to. We’ve got a couple more in the pipes. Stay tuned!
Really brings to life the craftsmanship and talent to making cigars and how passionate plasencia is. Love the Alma del fuego
Yeah it’s inspiring in many ways even outside of tobacco. I think it’s so important to understand the amount of energy it takes to make a product.
Well done 👍
Thank you very much!
I loved this, plasencia is one of the al time best cigar brands, it's nice to see how the sausage is made so to speak😅
Indeed they are. We came in as fans and we left as super fans. Their whole operation is fantastic.
I never smoked a bad Plasencia Cigar :) keep on with the fantastic work!
Exactly. I can only say that about Plasencia and Padron.
Beautiful short film. Subbed🙌🏼
Thank you! Hopefully more good films soon!
Estelí is one of theee growing regions in Nicaragua that produces a leaf of a specific characteristic...
Of leaf rolled into "boutique" sticks...
Estelí leaf produces a leaf that is creamy, silky, nutty... but smooth characteristic to it, making one of all time favorite flavor profiles to roll.
i can appreciate the time and work it takes to make one of these even though plasencia is not one of my favs
Cool video
Thank you! We appreciate all the feedback. Hopefully more content soon
Great
Thank you! 😶🌫️
I dont smoke at all never have but the artwork and passion is amazing. i bet that tobacco smelled amazing.
Ha! I love that! Yes it smells like rich, spicy, life-filled earth.
But...in around 10 years of smoking cigars...the only cigar I've nubbed was the placencia Alma fuerte..best cigar ever..
Alma fuerte robusto 1 ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
the manager and all the staff on screen were marvelous. the american on screen seemed tedious and his attempts at humor peurile. The documentary was well done and quite informative.
Awesome video! Which lens did you use for that?
Thanks! It was all shot on Zeiss CP.3 primes. I believe it was the 25mm and the 85mm. Good, clean, and fast!
At 10:55 in the paper have Fecha EMP and Vandad Organic i really don't know what it mean, i really love the knowledge about cigar, could you help me answer the queston - thank alot
the first date is the harvest date, the 2nd date that you're asking about is the date that the tobacco was baled. after the harvest it is deveined, cured and fermented in those pilons. then it is baled to age further. variedad organico is just the variety. this is likely the tobacco they are producing with their compost fertilizer from earlier in the video (organic)
Soooooo Happy worms make great cigars. Of course with the help of humans. Fantastic cigars !!
Yeah it’s WAY easier to make cigars than I thought. 🤣
just smoking a stogie... next to plastic wrapped pallets of tobacco leaves... in a room with no fire protection system... flammable high piled storage... what was that hazard?
At around 13:20 is she rolling the generación V Salomon?
Yup. Holly Grail territory.
@@longbeachfilmcompany I can smell it through the screen! Just went and grabbed my box to smell it! lol Awesome and informative documentary btw.
Kadınların puro sararken ellerindeki yapışkan koyu renkli şey nedir çikolata sosu mu?
That woman rolling the cigars was surgical. Wow.
Guys like alan from the hangover movies 😂
I wonder how much they pay these people an hour.
It can’t be much.
P r o m o S M 🙈
Every bit of this process comes across in a Plasencia cigar. Just hold one in your hand and you can tell they’re different. Expensive but worth every penny.
Totally agree. Works of art!
Homeboy used a rolling machine to roll the filler..false advertising...
