- Privada Cigar Club proudly presents "San Andres Tobacco: The Documentary," featuring master blender Claudio Sgroi. Dive deep into the culture and history of San Andres Tobacco, including an exploration of the Turrent family's legacy. Claudio leverages his extensive knowledge and connections within the premium cigar industry to highlight the creation and production of some of the rarest cigars ever made. The documentary captures the painstaking process Claudio undergoes to craft these limited and unique cigars, utilizing hard-to-find tobaccos, some for the first time.
“I am extremely proud to create what I feel is the best video content ever created in the premium cigar industry. This is exactly the type of project that needs to be worked on during times where the premium cigar industry desperately needs to get back to the history and beginning of tobacco itself, to showcase the essence of it. My first Casa Turrent was an 1880 Oscuro, which sent me on a journey exploring more Oscuros. I then had a 2020 Casa Turrent Serie 1973 Torpedo and had my senses blown away! Great documentary!

Thanks for letting us take a look behind the curtain of Mexican tobacco. When I first started smoking cigars, Mexican tobacco was thought to be inferior. Now just a few years later Mexican tobacco is showcased in many top tier cigars in the industry. How the wheels have turned. It was an honor and privilege to get to meet the Turrent family. It’s not a puro it uses the negro San Andre’s wrapper and I believe binders as well

They won’t. I see people in the industry and they still mispronounce the name. I don’t correct the guy’s at my local Cigar lounge because I don’t want to be known as the Cigar Nerd, even though I am.
