@7:31 Ah yes, the Vietnamese speaking Japanese ninjas!
Lol I caught that too. Strange how they typically cast non Vietnamese people (thais, cambodians, laotians, etc.) to play Viets in most movies/shows but this time they casted a Viet to play a Japanese.
I came to the comments just for this lol. This was a decent documentary, but I lost it when I heard Vietnamese. They could've at least taught the guy ONE LINE of Japanese.😂
LMAO!!
but you know maybe they dun have budget to hire japanese cast..

However I do believe that their other qualities make them shine, I mean they perform a whole ceremony just to have a cup of Tea😂
The present day Japanese culture is a unique expression of western over indulgence and abandonment of morals especially when it comes to marriage and sex.
It is a damn shame because it’s our differences in culture that defines us and marks us out so we may come to recognise each other. For example I am Scottish by blood and clan (I became Muslim nearly 25 yrs ago) on both sides of my parents and the kilt and Tartan literally define us.
It saddens me to see a lot of that Japanese culture decay but at least the martial arts and Calligraphy and Japanese architecture and Archery and traditional medicine has survived as separate disciplines. The pursuit of perfection in every breath you take is a very high bar to reach 😊😊🙂👍

Excellent comment
Bring back the Ninjas!
We should train all the CIA and Mossad with swords and ninja stars and chit 😬
@@Malouco that's a great idea to bring the Ninja back
Very cool
Amazing
According to actual texts, most of what we know of Shinobi (ninjas) is false. They are not black pajamas wearing special forces. They were just samurai, learning samurai arts plus infiltration, deceptive strategies and espionage. Most ninjas would infiltrate the enemy, as perhaps a servant, Gardner, nobility etc and would get the enemy to turn against themselves. Occasionally assassinating selected individuals.
Yes, someone with knowledge. It’s really concerning that this is portrayed as a documentary more than an ass pull story.
They were special forces, serving many jobs such as commando units, military / Castle defense, spy hunters, sabotages, military capture agents.ect.
They likely did wear black but use other colors to help break it up.
The best comparison in a modern context would be the the CIA deviation S.A.D.
Wrong ninjas came from the peasant class which is why many of their weapons were farm tools ,samurai were of the nobility class and the only ones allowed swords . Samurai hired ninjas to to things a samurai could not do under the code of bushido .
Horse crap. There has been actual academic research into the subject. The original comment is correct. The word "ninja" didn't even appear until the 20th century.

So much of their strength is based in theater and myth, including their history
Shinobi is not a martial art. Shinobi is a spy. A ninja can operate as a spy or shinobi.
Right this isn't very good documentary.
There is no such thing as a "ninja". The Japanese characters for shinobi can be pronounced as "ninja". That is where "ninja" comes from. In reality, shinobi were samurai who practiced espionage.
And let's not forget that Bushido was a concept created by a man who was from a family of bushi but was born after the era where bushi and shinobi were active. The bushi engaged in numerous underhanded practices.
Japanese history is dope!

great video, I want to be a ninja 😊🎉🎉❤❤
I love the wano arc
The Ninja are the world's original Special Forces Shadow Warriors and founding fathers of Unconventional Warfare, Direct Raid assault, special Recon, HVT missions and Black ops specialists in Espionage. There are would be today's version of the Navy SEALs, MARSOC Marine Raiders, Marine Force Recon, Army Rangers, Army Special Forces, Air Force Special Recon teams, CIA Paramilitary and Army Delta Force.
Exactly! They way before their time the original special force's!
Wrong. The "ninja" didn't exist. Stop believing dumb youtube videos.
No, Y'all are thinking about the Scottish. The reason special operatives wear berets today is because of the British "Scottish Brigade" who later became the commandos who influenced all American spec opps. The Scottish indigenous had been fighting clandestine wars since Roman occupation. Also considered to be magical, mysterious, and worshiping nature spirits, they do share a lot in common with the Jizamuri of Iga and Koga (the poorer, rual samurai) who waged a gorilla campain in the highlands of southern Japan.
Although ninja mostly carry out covert missions which require them to conceal their identities, not all ninja or shinobi necessarily wear masks always
They didn’t wear black, blue was instead favoured.
Why?
@@killaant84 blue showed up better in the dark. Black was what theatre actors used and westerners (American more like) then decided it looked better from their perspective when depicting ninja in movies/tv etc. Scrambling over rooftops at night isn’t exactly subtle either. Why not disguise yourself as someone going about their daily business and then do the deed that way? Some even acted as sleeper cells months maybe years waiting to be activated.
Do you just make stuff up? "Ninjas" never existed as are portrayed today. It's made up.
I don't know what the hell he said at 07:33 but I'm pretty damned sure it wasn't Japanese.

Dear Chronicle,
the video was uploaded on youtube recently. But when was it actually filmed?
*The information that it contains is revised multiple times over :/*
This person is clearly not familiar with a universal fact about historical warriors: There is more than one type of warfare. I for one side with the camp who believes that ninjas and samurai are the same type of warrior doing two different types of warfare, but in a society where everyone is ashamed to admit that they are doing black ops. So ashamed that they erased any evidence that would have allowed us to connect the ninja with the samurai. It is a good theory, especially when one considers how hard it is for a samurai to take another noble's head in the middle of a battle without having his friends pin him to the ground for him. Then there are the similarities in weapons used by samurai and weapons that are often associated with ninjas and the similarities between the way a ninja trains and a samurai trains. It has everything to do with how shameful they thought black ops was even though they clearly did a lot of it.
There is no such thing as a "ninja". In historical context, the Japanese characters for "ninja" are actually "shinobi". And there are no historic records of "ninja" assassinations. Shinobi are samurai that practice espionage.
@@LawDawg717
