I did see a few weeks ago that the admin in the modcloth facebook group was contacted by the new owners wanting feedback from previous customers which I thought wasn't a terrible idea. Most said to rewind about 5 ish years, and bring back all the vintage inspired styles. My 2 cents was tell them to employ a small but educated team who are more in touch with their target market than the previous owners - clearly lol. I think you would be a great footwear advisor because that collection was magnificent!
I am a new subscriber because of this video. I’ve never seen any of your others but I am going to watch them you have a very gentle lovely tone. Please never apologize for having such a beautiful collection nobody should tell another how to spend their money if this brings you joy especially during these difficult times then you should have it !!everyone spends money on different things whether it be clothing/ entertainment /their children/ their pets/ drinking eating etc. it gave me a lot of pleasure to see all of the various styles you’ve collected over the years!! Because of health issues sadly I have not been able to have the joy of wearing beautiful shoes anymore. little by little I’ve had to sell mine and opt for more of the dowdy ugly comfort shoes if it were up to me I would have all of the Zara or Valentino stiletto shoes and wear them every day!! I've just noticed that most of the people I've subscribed and really enjoy watching, these people are tend to have collections of something, - though their collections are not the reason I've started to watch them in the first place, - and are rather "maximalists", as you call yourself with a little bit of shame. I think the people with lots of stuff like that are very cozy, sentimental, and carring, and have a passion for stuff, and often cry watching a movie - not many people can feel such strong emotions and compassion towards some fictional characters, you know) so I think you're beautiful and wholesome with all that shoes you carefully collected over the years and you shouldn't be ashamed of it at all) just be yourself :)
Thank you for giving us the link to all the shoes. I have been looking for vintage shoes from the 1940s and 1950s…. Again thank you for taking time and adding all the links

Don't feel guilty about the cost. It is a wonderful collection of shoes that WAS VERY HARD TO FIND! It's hard looking and being able to find right accessories for an outfit. It takes a few years to coordinate an outfit on your tight budget. It's easy to go into a high-end store and buy it all at once when price is not a concern. Your vlog was so much fun to watch.
I have a pair of Chanel Oxford heels (the ones in my avatar) that I bought for prom in 2003. I had to get them professionally stretched post-pregnancy!

Yours, Ann Edit: By the way what was the proper way to wear open toes or sandaly types of shoes in their era? Would you wear them with stockings, or without? Does anyone know? Thank you! They would wear stockings with everything even opened toed shoes as far as I can tell from photos and my vintage catalogs. The catalog pages always seem to show stockings on, or at least they didn't draw in toes so I have to assume they must!
Wow!! 👠👠Sigh....I remember having well over 175 pairs of shoes and boots. So much fun watching this!! Thank you for sharing your super darling shoe collection. 🥰 Loved all of them!!
Loved watching the video and getting honest opinions about the comfort of the shoes. That's always helpful when looking into an investment piece like American Duchess!
i appreciate the sentimental factor you have towards some of your pairs. i have 2 pairs of shoes that i saved up and purchased and i can't seem to let them go. lol
Don't feel shame about your collection, I'm a flatfoot that can only enjoy about 2 inch heels without pain. If I had normal feet, I'd indulge them as well! Plus, nothing ruins an outfit you've spent time and money on like raggedy, color-adjacent shoes.
Not that you need more enabling, but have you checked out Memery shoes? She does retro reproduction shoes, and has some gorgeous styles I think you’d like. She really focused on the small details, which make the shoes look so perfectly authentic. I have a pair of her 30’s/40’s Everyday Walking shoes, and I LOVE them!
As a shoeaholic myself this was an awesome video!!! 👠👏😍 Not a big fan of the T-bar shoe style personally, hence why most of my shoes are modern even though I pair them with retro-looking dresses in the summer (my autumn/winter style is more modern clothing-wise anyway 😉). My favourites from your collection have to be those gorgeous turquoise mules n°19 (even though I know that style makes such a racket when walking 😳) and n° 16 those floral sandals are such cuties! 🥰
I have large feet, so cute shoes were so out of reach.... I've been painting shoes now for about ten years, a la the book Sassy Feet by Margot Silk Forest. It's a great book with cool techniques and you can retro-ify shoes that are close but no cigar.

I think you have the perfect amount of shoes for a girl without a house sized closet of her own. I am also very glad that no one remembers Imelda Marcos {eyes the comments unhappily}. My aunt once told me that if she liked a shoe, she got it in every color -- and I agree. Personally, there are four pair of shoes I'm still looking for -- an Easter blue and an Easter pink patent pump, a pair of saddle shoes, and a pair of purple suede heels. I cast no shade at your number. If shoes were songs in a hymn book, I would be into the Christmas Carols the number I have. LOVE this video, and you, and your shoes! Stay well!!
Thank you Michelle! I certainly wouldn't mind having the purple suede 30's heels from Remix, pretty dreamy! remixvintageshoes.com/collections/womens/products/uptown
i am overwhelmed by the size and variety of your shoe collection. Truly interesting video. I only have a few pair of shoes, all flats. Right now I feel deprived but I would never have a place to store a collection, so I will just enjoy looking at yours. Love all your videos, Bianca, and thanks for making these days more bearable.
I am a big fan of the shoes from the 30s, 40s and 50s. My 2nd grade teacher, wore shoes just like your #52. I swore that one day I would wear a pair of pumps like those...and I did, when I turned 40 I was able to buy a pair. Can't wear heals over 2" now, so no more spikes for me. They are beautiful though. Thanks for doing this video. The saddle shoes look alot softer than the ones I had to wear in grade school!! Our Dad used to take the hammer to the back heel part of the shoes so we wouldn't bleed as we broke them in. Lots of great memories for me in this video. Thanks!
Bianca fab, fab, fabulous. Thank you so much for sharing I've not been doing too well lately, what a nice way to just sit and relax looking at your wonderful shoes. Thank you so so much for taking the time. Keep safe and well. 👠👡👟👞
Beautiful collection! The introduction made me laugh out loud. I really like the 2 toned especially the Gatsby red and white.👟👟👞👞👠👠Thx for the work and precision.
I'm stupidly excited that we have some of the same shoes. I have the zest is history in 5 colours, and I had to get them all sent over from the US as Modcloth didn't ship to the UK for a while. My bank balance is upset that they do again... I have a permanent BAIT lacey search going on ebay at the moment, I can never find them in my size. I love this video, you are wonderful, and NEVER be ashamed of the size of your shoe collection.
No need to feel bad for talking about your collection (you are not bragging) and I'd like to add, spending money on shoes is not impractical or bad, after all, shoes are pretty essential.
I already watched this on Patreon but I came round here to give you one more view ;) Thank you for showing your collection. Don’t feel bad for it. It’s quite enjoyable to look at and I got some inspiration for potential future buys. :)
Love this collection! I'm more of a boot collector, since I live in what even other Canadians consider "the north", but those candy apple red shoes.... oh my.
I have to laugh because I watched this entire video and am thinking...Ah yes, 34,000 other woman just as obsessed with vintage shoes as myself (views on your video.) Thanks for sharing and for linking up to the ones still available!!! I think I might snatch up those Chelsea Crew Lana shoes as they are currently on sale and those were some of my fave in your collection!
Made my afternoon. I held on to a pair of black patent leather pumps for years that did not fit when I bought them. I just loved the idea of them I guess. Thanks.
Thank you Lynn! I may have replaced my black patent shoes since this video already...I bought a different pair from BAIT on sale, in their more sandalish style I prefer, and they are sooo much more comfortable. The ones in this video will be heading to the charity shop instead in afraid!
This was a real treat. Thank you for sharing your shoe collection with us. I had to laugh, I was thinking that very thing, when you said for those with a foot fetish, lol. Nicely done.
You can move the buttons on American Duchess shoes to help make them fit better (I believe they have a tutorial on their website) it might not fix all the fit problems, but at least make them more wearable? Your shoe collection is amazing!
Luckily they are still totally wearable now, and I can slip them on without having to do the buttons which is actually kinda nice ha! One day I'll get myself a proper button hook and fit them up!
Wow, what a great collection! It's one thing to do a collection video but you took it to another level. Informational and a listing for the available ones?! I'm going shoe shopping now.
Thank you! I knew folks would want the links so I just had to get in there with the full list. I met the word count limit for video descriptions with this one oops!
American Duchess was posting so many sale alerts on Instagram at the end of 2020. It was heartbreaking to know it was a heck of a deal but still far far out of my reach. The Marilyn in blue and then red hit the hardest.
Strangely interesting seeing someone’s shoe collection. Not that you probably care but these are my favourites 5, 6, 13, 28,50, 53, 54, and a big yay! For the Bladerunner styles. My shoes are mostly flat Oxford brogues (In varying colours) apart from a few boots. 💖
Ok also, I just bit the bullet and ordered the black Marilyn pump from American Duchess. Probably will be my most versatile shoe and I plan to make it last many years. Next on my list is the brown spectator pump. 😍 and maybe someday brighter, more frivolous pair...
Alas, I fact checked myself, and actually Walmart sold Modcloth last October! So that's kinda nice.
*Googles 'who owns ModCloth today'*
I still not a fan. Everything I have bought from them fits poorly.

Thank you Linda! I hope you feel better soon
You have an amazing shoe collection. So many beautiful shoes to wear with different outfits.
Beautiful collection! The introduction made me laugh out loud. I really like the 2 toned especially the Gatsby red and white.👟👟👞👞👠👠Thx for the work and precision.
Thank you!
Thank you for sharing your collection. I love them all!
Thank you Jennifer!
delightful! May you continue to wear them in good health!
Thank you!
Thank you Becky! BAIT usually do an amazing Black Friday sale so I have to stay awayyy eek ;)
Whaoooo! Confirms my suspicion. Fashion was far more elegant and glamorous in from the 30’s to the 50’s.
Great collection , I am so glad you showed them , thank you.
Thank you!
I was so happy to see your channel pop up in my notifications. Glad you're ok.
I dig your style so much! It's exact and it's you! The makeup, hair, clothes and even shoes apparently😄 It's really very incredible ✌️
Thank you!
No need to feel bad for talking about your collection (you are not bragging) and I'd like to add, spending money on shoes is not impractical or bad, after all, shoes are pretty essential.
I already watched this on Patreon but I came round here to give you one more view ;)
Thank you for showing your collection. Don’t feel bad for it. It’s quite enjoyable to look at and I got some inspiration for potential future buys. :)
Thank you! I appreciate it
Love this collection!
Your collection is such an inspiration - you have excellent taste!!!!!
Thank you!
Thank you!
@@TheClosetHistorian, you're welcome!
It’s your collection that’s all and I love it!!
Speaking of spring, those green BAIT sandals would look marvelous with that deco-y dress you just made!
Edit: Your entire collection is amazing!
Thank you Avery!
Thank you!!!! PLEASE don't apologise for your shoes! It's madness. ❣️❣️❣️❣️
Thank you Ailsa!
glad you showed those saddle shoes! i’ve been trying to find some for work!
I think this is the third time I have watched this! Love it! Thanks for sharing. 👠👡👢🌹🖖
Thank you Mary!
Drooling over all the American Duchess shoes *swoon*
Outstanding 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
My favorite? The black “witchy” ones. 😍
Thank you Angella! They are works of art, American Duchess are so great!
So glad you made this video! 💜 I love shoes and you have an awesome collection!!
Thank you Hailey!
Shoes are my favorite accessory, you are not alone in a thorough collection .. Do you have any vintage sunglasses?
I don't have any vintage sunglasses, but I have some retro style ones from a shop on Etsy called Sunglass Museum! :)
American Duchess was posting so many sale alerts on Instagram at the end of 2020. It was heartbreaking to know it was a heck of a deal but still far far out of my reach. The Marilyn in blue and then red hit the hardest.
I love Royal Vintage/American Duchess shoes. I have a few pairs and they are so comfortable.
Agreed, I can't wait for them to come out with more styles in the future
Strangely interesting seeing someone’s shoe collection. Not that you probably care but these are my favourites 5, 6, 13, 28,50, 53, 54, and a big yay! For the Bladerunner styles. My shoes are mostly flat Oxford brogues (In varying colours) apart from a few boots. 💖
Thank you! I love a flat oxford brogue, I need to pick some up to wear with my 40's trousers!
Amazing collection Bianca, thank you!
Thank you!
I love your taste. I basically want to copy-paste most of your wardrobe. Love it!!
Ok also, I just bit the bullet and ordered the black Marilyn pump from American Duchess. Probably will be my most versatile shoe and I plan to make it last many years. Next on my list is the brown spectator pump. 😍 and maybe someday brighter, more frivolous pair...
Thank you Barbie! I hope you love them!
